Yea, I am going on vacation tomorrow with a friend. 8 days in a place called "Aurland". It is only a 3H drive from my home, but I am really looking forward to it. No phone and no computer

Looks absolutely stunning.

I had to cancel a Norwegian fiords coastal cruise last year after being involved in a road accident, but I'm hoping to resurrect it early next year. The brochures depict scenery similar to that which you posted, and I'm looking forward to taking it all in.

Thanks guys, I will enjoy it

I shall remember to take a picture of a sheep (or a goat). Maybe I will bring one with me home :D

Hey guys :)

So I am still on vacation and we are having a great time. I had to bring my computer (so I can transfer pictures from camera to PC). We have rented a really nice cabin at sea level next to a beautiful fjord. The only problem is that the bed in the cabin has the most awful bed I have ever slept in. I have hardly slept at all. But thank you Centrebet for providing me with some Great Blue entertainment while being sleepless at night . Anyway, a bit tired but the trip is awesome. It is quite hot down in the valley where we are staying, so it is fascinating to take a 25 minutes drive up on a mountain where it is cold and snowy. Quite a contrast.

Some pictures taken today.

Do not tell my mother that I had to jump over a safety fence to take this picture :o

Welcome back rainmaker,

Thanks for the pics, you may have inspired a few of the members here to drag out their dusty old backpacks.

Lots happening in the industry to keep you busy now you're back :)

Yeah, a lot of things happening these days. Especially for you guys at Centrebet. Sportingbet agrees to buy you up, and now it looks like Ladbrokes will buy Sportingbet. What a mess :p

Hey rainmaker, you were doing some fishing - just wondering what kind of fish are in there, and did you catch anything?

Yes, there were many places to fish. You have the rivers where you most likely will get trout or salmon. The fjords around is saltwater with all of the common species available up in the North (a lot of cod). The mountain lakes will most likely give you a trout or perch.

We did a lot of fishing, but really did not have any good luck. We got many small fishes but nothing worth eating, so that was a bit disappointing.

hope you had a good time. Those pictures were something else. not too many places like that to compare to here in the states. i could see myself hanging out at that destination for a few months
