Massive thanks to the organisers of the Hasting Half Marathon for giving me my lucky number 5 again for this year!
If you're wondering how I get a single-digit number, it's because I have completed EVERY Hastings Half since it started in 1985!
That makes this my 39th consecutive race (with 2 having been cancelled due to Covid) and puts me in a group of less than 10 people who have done them all.
The race is this Sunday at 10:30 am and I will be travelling at a top speed of approximately 3.5mph, meaning I should finish only about 3 hours behind the winner!
Unfortunately, the organisers say I can't do the race on my bike...
