*THIS HAS NOW BEEN RESOLVED*
Hi guys and gals,
Something very odd happened to me last week at Casumo (and it's a battle I'm currently fighting to get some sensible answers)...
I had been playing The Dark Knight for weeks. I hit a few good wins and even triggered the progressive a couple of times (biggest progressive win €100 minor jackpot).
What kept me playing was the Mega jackpot had started at €9,361,908 on 8th June (my first record of it - note that I play in Euros) and eventually rose to €10,096,278 on 17th June at last count. We all know it's a lottery and the chances of us specifically winning it are virtually nil but if you're not in...
I kept plugging away and dreaming of buying that Nissan GT-R I so desperately crave
Anyway, a few days ago I loaded up TDK and noticed the Mega Moolah had dropped to €5,153,295 - I found this very odd because I know the jackpot will reset to €1m upon being won. So I had a live chat with Anton (Casumo Ambassador) and that's when things got VERY strange...
He informed me that the mega jackpot at no time was displaying over €10m because it had been won in April and had only risen to €5.1m which is the figure I was seeing at the time. I told him that, thankfully, I have a habit of taking screenshots of my gaming and can show him the jackpot rising "on my end" to the aforementioned value of almost €10.1 million. Anton was clearly confused and took a while to respond with a simple "Umm..." so I asked him if I could send in said screen shots for them to look at. He agreed.
After this, things have started to get pretty stupid and almost offensive. Jonathon sent the screen shots off to the jackpot supplier and after a day or two they responded with (and I quote):
Is it just me who thinks this is nonsense? I replied to Seamus (I've been speaking to a few ambassadors) that it's definitely not right. The winning of one jackpot does not in any way affect the outcome or the amount of another jackpot, seeing as they are all separate entities.
Anyway, Jonathon replied to that email that he personally agrees with me and so sent another email off to MGS/Quickfire to see what they say about it.
Seamus replied to me today, and again I quote:
Is this honestly true?
I have never once before seen the mega jackpot drop in value regardless of how many other smaller jackpots are won, and certainly not by FIVE MILLION in a single day. I feel like I'm going mad. I sat and watched the mega moolah climb from €9.3m to nearly €10.1m over the course of a couple of weeks, which suddenly reset to €5m. I was told by Anton that that was the correct value and €10.1m never existed. Then I'm being told by MGS/Quickfire that it was that high but the other jackpots were deducted from it.
What is going on? Why would I be seeing that amount if it didn't exist? Why would it be reduced in value if it did exist? Have any of you guys noticed the Mega Moolah jackpot being cut in half on or around 17th June?
I'll add the screen shots soon. Gotta upload them to Photobucket.
NB - this is NOT a complaint about Casumo, who I am having a great time with otherwise. They have been more than courteous and very professional.

I have investigated and found that even though the mega jackpot was not won, there has been winnings of mini and minor jackpots which would also affect the mega jackpot hence the jackpot value going down to 5153295

I have now discussed this with the game provider, and all the jackpots are indeed in the same pool. Now there has been an unusually big amount of smaller jackpots won which has caused the sudden drop in the Major jackpot.
Is this honestly true?
