Playing one line is not usually permitted in comps as it increases volatility and likelihood of high wins.

If you want to turn on the admins, then you will be lucky to be allowed into any future comps. These comps are organised for the entertainment of the membership and we do our best to set them up as fairly as possible. If you have any issues with anything then you can always DM any of the team to ask for corrections. But openly trying to poke holes in things in public is not welcome and wont be tolerated.

Where are they licensed?

I have already spent time firing up the VPN, translating the site into English and finding there is not a license where it should be. Guys, come on, you know the drill by now. If you want to put these unknown outfits into this comp then please provide information about their licensing. It's no fun scratching around trying to find this stuff.

Right, rant over. Please include a link or details of licensing for lesser known brands, it makes a big difference to my blood pressure :laugh:

Ok, will check tomorrow. When I visited from Finland IP address there wasn’t a license in sight. I don’t know how they are able to switch it on and off like that, seems very dubious.

But, if they do have a license in Curaçao then accept my apologies. It’s been a long day!

For all members, please do share link to licensing information where you can. It makes life a lot easier. Especially lesser known operators.
 
Been a bit slow here this morning, I have some sort of bug that is giving me aches and pains and has taken all my energy.

However, I have found enough energy to update the comp and I can confirm we have a new leader in @racingcat who had a wild ride on Prey For Three. Hitting most of the win on the penultimate spin - well worth watching the replay, despite it being fairly low stakes.

We have the rest of today and tomorrow up to midnight left in this one. Good luck all.

Although it might encourage you to hit a monster like the above and come out way ahead.

EDIT: scratch that. i think people are actually depositing to min bet hacksaw all month. Funny stuff but I can see it as being a source of entertainment. So have at er. With HV games like thart you def have a chance at a real big hit like im seeing in here.

Well lets hope people are being sensible still with there spending..

And also lets hope people are sticking to the "spirit of the competition" rules and not hording screenshots to enter at last minute to take top places etc I feel Scatt3r desurves the win after being there all month.
 
Spirit of the competition... Well, if the comp runs until 25 hours from now people are allowed to post screenies upto that moment. If they hoard huge hits from earlier in the month and do it in the last minute of the comp I can think it's lame but it's allowed per the rules. It's also something I wouldn't do unless I was playing at that moment and would hit something that'd advance me in the standings.

Or are you implying if I'd hit a 50000x tomorrow evening at 10pm I'm not allowed to post it because SCATT3R hit a 44000x+ today? That would be nonsensical.

I mean, it's unlikely I'll be playing tomorrow evening and it's even more unlikely I can hit something like that in my lifetime so no worries on that front.
 
I was meaning more like if someone already have a 80,000x win from 2 weeks ago and just waiting to post it last minute sort of thing.... while its still not technically against the rules it would certainly not be very sporting and not in the spirit of the comp, if you hit anywins tonight / tomorrow of course thats fine.
 
I dunno, it's a competition with money on the line so I'm sure people are going to try and win if possible. If people are holding big hits to try to sneak in at the end and catch people out then so be it. Sure it sucks if you're overtaken but there's nothing that says you can't so I don't see the issue.

Besides it's difficult to police, you're going to then have to ask everyone who submits high results tomorrow to show the game logs that prove the hit actually happened on the 31st and not several weeks earlier?
 
I have not really checked the leaderboard, but im pretty sure this will put me in the #1 spot, sorry in advance to everyone else taking part.

Managed to climb all the way to the top on Millionaire rush when triggering the bonus for a massive 755x win, the final number after the bonus was a bit higher but as i said im pretty sure this is enough to secure first place so i cant be bothered adding that screenshot.

Yes, that's why we have 'spirit of the comp' rules, to avoid people using tactics to gain an advantage. That rule allows us ad hoc discretion when coming up against a factor not specified in the rules but we have just become aware of.

We learn as we go what little tricks people try so the general idea is to run the comps on the most basic universally-available version of any slot game.

That's why bonus buys are disqualified, all those mini-feature buys like you may see on Hacksaws, playing one line on Book slots etc., buying extra spins after the feature (NLC) and so-on. Ante bets are allowed as universally available, but next month's comp will make any feature multipliers include the ante-bet unlike now because as some have pointed out players on bigger budgets can play higher bets for 2x the feature frequency and then get a win relating to the basic stake before ante-bet. So we are looking to change that out.

Lastly, 'win hoarding' is definitely NOT in the spirit of the comp!!

The reason being that if a player doesn't post a monster win which affects the leaderboard within a reasonable time of hitting it, i.e. 12/24 hours, then it seriously disadvantages everyone else. So say with 4 days to go player A is top with 10,000x, player B second with 8,000x and player C third with 6,000x:

Player C is hoarding a 25,000x max win which when added would take him to 31,000x. Player B is second and only 2,000x off of the top. So player B plays slots with a more gentle max win of say 4-5,000x hoping for a 2,000x plus win to make #1. Quite achievable. He sensibly measures his slot choice and play according to the board he can see. He gets one and hits #1. Five minutes later player C posts his 25,000 and usurps the top place.

The obvious issue is that had he known #1 was on 31,000x four days beforehand then player B could have played a more volatile game capable of some substantial hits and got say a 30,000x to take #1. But he didn't try because he didn't know of the stored screenshot player C had.

Therefore screenie hoarding is NOT in the spirit of the comp. Any entrant caught doing this should have their entry disqulaified IMO and if I had a choice they would be disqualified from the month's comp full stop. Essentially it's a deliberate act to screw the other members over.

It's the same kind of mentality as people used to have when trying to store bonus rounds on slots when playing on bonus money, then depositing real funds and playing them off to collect their returns in withdrawable cash. Unsurprisingly getting their winnings voided and accounts closed.

As organiser of this particular comp, I get final say in the matter and that will bring this matter to a close.

From what I can see, @SCATT3R has posted the play log, showing the win taking place on 30th Jan. There was no request for the member to do so, they probably just assumed that such a big win might attract some attention. I cannot see how this can be considered hoarding and I perfectly happy with this entry.

For future competitions we will look to introduce something that discourages any members from hoarding screenshots, but as far as I am concerned there is nothing of this type going on here.

Now, back to the competition - please make sure you get any last entries in by midnight tonight. Best of luck everyone.
 
Yes, just to clarify, I was not referring to @SCATT3R 's monster win, but the point and potential loophole raised by a couple of people, quite rationally, regarding win hoarding should it ever be tried by entrants.

For fair play, entrants on leaderboard contests should know for as long as possible the target(s) to aim for. That was my reasoning.

Anyway, what odds anyone else taking #1 in the next 9.5 hours.... :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I don't think that particular win was the issue, more in general, like if someone who hadn't participated at all through the month were to come in last minute with a huge win and run away with the prize like is often seen in these kind of contests.

As for the game log, I try to make the habit of posting it each time, regardless of win size. It will prove that it is my own, and it will prove that it isn't from a bonus buy and I think this should be required along with the winning screen. For instance, on Pragmatic slots, if you just post the win and the replay, there is no way to tell wether or not it was bonus buy because it will only display the base bet.

Point well made, we can look at this for potential future comps.
 
It's a bit sad of course when people try such things but i don't feel it's a big issue on CM - iirc there was some issue a while back with that running VS comp? That got one user banned? That's about all i can recall :D

Of course there's also me who 'accidentally' posts his screenies with a few digits tussled, but luckily i always get caught out :p

Other than that i think most folks here are good, but on the other hand the more you set up a ruleset that avoids most silly tactics etc., - the better: i want to 2nd what @SCATT3R mentioned: that would be a bit more work per screenshot, but would also indeed make it more transparant for both fellow players and admins :)

Side note. First one of these I've entered 'seriously'. I know it's ultimately just down to luck but I didn't realise just how unlucky I was with gambling. 2nd last of people who submited the full 5 games even though my average is a respectable (to me anyway) 330x.

I hammered hacksaw at the start of the month on low bets and just couldn't get anything going.

I'm pleased to know that in the future ante buys will affect the multiplier because I certainly feel us UK folk are at a disadvantage not being able to pay for the extra chance on Hacksaw. Instead of 20p base bets I'd have just gone down to 10p and then used the extra chance and I'm sure I'd have got some better hits as I'd have got 2-3x more bonuses.

Anyway GL for the last few hours to anyone still in the running, though 1st place looks rather out of sight now. 44kx GESH what a hit.

Just wanted to clarify as it was me that opened the can of worms....

Yeah my original comment was NOT anything to do with scatt3rs win OR against any of the current posts it was just i didnt want to see someone using a win from a couple of weeks ago that they horded to swoop in and take top spot etc.

But to be honest i wasnt really expecting any regular poster to do that move, its gonna be newbie comp chancers that do that stuff.

Anyway all's good in CM world.... sorry for kicking it off :)
