Mr Green promoting fake wins?

I'm not one for engaging with gambling companies on Facebook, but this sponsored post from "Mr Green" had me confused...

If the story is to be believed - "Last Thursday" (posted in October 2016, but still being promoted by FB) Peter A bet £3 on Thunderstruck II and had a win of £25,078 (8,359.3x stake) - with a screenshot that shows a 4-wild shitstorm, with Thor, Odin and a wild symbol on the third reel.

Too good to be true?

* "The Thunderstruck Logo symbol and the Bonus Hammer symbol do not appear" during the Wild Storm bonus game [source: game rules]
* The payout for 5 wild reels would be 1000 coins x 243 ways per level - or 8,100x stake - as wild reels do not double the win [sources: pay table, youtube videos]

Immediately assuming the rogue affiliate line, I double-checked the source, and /MrGreenUnitedKingdom is listed on

as an official account.

Plenty of operators we might expect this from, but Mr Green?

Mr. Green is reviewed at Casinomeister.
I've just checked, and it is on the official Mr Green Facebook page. it was posted on 6/10/2016.

There are quite a few comments, pointing out how fake it is. But no response from Mr Green.

Also, the link goes to the Mr Green website, with no affiliate tags or anything like that.

yeah this is not cool at all. False advertising plus making up an entire story is pretty ridiculous.

Very misleading and not what I expect from an accredited casino.

Just by this post alone, I dont trust them as a brand now.

Geez, if well-established and reputable sites are doing this kind of thing what are we to expect from the real rogues???

Added that the WILD symbol will not appear during a Wild Storm is that you cannot have Thor and Odin in the same spin, especially during a Wild Storm when the reel strips change completely from the standard reels.

It appears that Mr. Green is in need of a "SHITSTORM" :D

This is such bollocks it's laughable - 32red 'Casino Of the Year' (Sky TV ad recently) * Casinomeister 2015 was bad enough, now this. It's about as believable as me posting a bad photoshop with a horse's phallus hanging out of my zip. We also had the phoney claim recently that a 'student turned £100 into £100k on St*rb*rst' (can't recall the casino and the rep went as quiet as a mouse).

This is so cretinous I thought it was April 1st. - you cannot get a single Wild in a Shitstorm feature, and at no time can you ever see Odin and Thor on the same reel in view UNLESS you are on Thor free spins and the cascades have let them end up that way.

To the OP - you CANNOT get 8100x stake on TS2 on anything but a JonMincher 5-reel Shitstorm.

Mr Green? You must think WE are 'green' to swallow this bullshit-bs-smiley-emoticon.gif :mad:

Could it be that this was his total win from the session or something and then some guy in the marketing division got told to photoshop a picture of the "win"?

If they faked he whole thing, shame on them.

I've seen these advertisements for fake wins from MG casinos. They always hope to reel in schmucks, gambling addicts and Sinatra fans with bullshit like this. Jackpot City sends me garbage monthly.

I find this disgusting beyond belief, it's one thing these casinos rob peoples money everyday with these rigged slots, but fake winning screenshots is a disgrace, They should be put on the rogue list.

The sad thing about this whole debacle is they probably have a player who won a decent amount of money on a slot and could have used this in a promo. There ought to be rules in place that don't allow casinos to pull crap like this in their advertising. And to do a piss poor photoshopping job just adds insults to injury.

Don't get me wrong I think Mr. Green is still a great casino but they certainly wouldn't have pulled this stunt a few years ago. They used to be proud of their integrity and gentlemen like behaviour. Boy things have changed.

So what is it that are questioned here really because i can't see it as a big thing.

Are you saying that a win like that on that betsize are impossible to get?
Forget the picture they have made because we all see it's not real. It's like when videos are posted when a new game is out. Constant wins to let us see the best of it. No new player expect to get all of these wins, and those who read what this guy has won don't expect they will win what's on that picture. It shows the name of the game. So what?

So is that kind of win impossible to get on a wildstorm? In that case it's a lie and bad advertising.

You've gotta say this is a debacle, an embarrassment in front of all and sundry on social media. It shows the total lack of knowledge of their product by someone at Mr Green-behind-the-ears. As faux pas go, a classic.

You, the expert on counting, is it possible to win that amount on a wildstorm on that bet?

The text alongside the picture says.....

Last Thursday Peter A put a £3 bet on the epic Thunderstruck II. The clouds gathered and a win of £25,078 rained down on the reels.

So YES it would be impossible to win £25,078 from one wildstorm and even less possible to get that combination of symbols.

Also.. Videos of new games might show huge wins. But they are, at least possible, however unlikely

You, the expert on counting, is it possible to win that amount on a wildstorm on that bet?

Yes and no - it equates to the MAXIMUM possible hit on TS 2 but you can only get it with a 5-reel shitstorm or full screen on Loki feature. You cannot get Wild singles in the shitstorm nor Thor and Odin on same reel. They may have had a 5-reel shitstorm winner genuinely, but have hashed a fake screenshot up to try and demonstrate it and made themselves look stoooopid! All they had to do was get a game log image from MG.

25078/3 = 8359x stake which is impossible in one screen on that slot.

So he must've had the Loki round of all time, 8100x stake full screen and 259.33x on top - that's the ONLY way he could've won that for a single £3 stake.

You, the expert on counting, is it possible to win that amount on a wildstorm on that bet?

The maximum for a 4-reel Wild Storm is appr. 2,000x bet. For that you need Thor and minimum K's or A's.

On TS2 you can NOT have two of the major symbols in a Wild Storm, it can be just one plus 9's - A's. So assuming you get Thor, K, 10 on a $3 bet:

(81 x $50) + (81x $15) + (81 x $10) = $4,050 + $1,215 + $810 = $6,075 --> 2025x bet

So Mr. Green took that x 4, lying bastards!

Here is one that gives you an impression what it pays for a 4-reeler:

I know those other symbols can't be in there, but the picture I could accept since it wasn't a true screenshot.
I can't accept totally made up stories about a person that haven't won at all though.

So it's fake. What will you do then? Report it somewhere maybe or is that already done?

Apologies from Mr Green

Cheers to you guys for pointing out the error in the social post from October, we really messed up. We've spoken with the nonconformist team and asked them to involve us (casino) in future, and to no longer mock up images of winning combinations that don't exist ;). The image was used for illustrative reasons only, as no win material was available at the time, generally we post the winning lines/combinations when advertising big wins, and promise we will only do this in future.

So, we have to hold our hands up... the image was wrong and the converted win amount was wrong (bet amount: £3 and win amount: £24,300) but at least they did get the game right and it was definitely won at Mr Green.

The Facebook post is currently being updated, and again, we really appreciate you guys bringing this to our attention. For a good laugh, check out the recent 'WOW!!' post running on here.

Have a great day.

Explanation accepted...at least from me.

When you're dressed properly I think you should rush to the Introduction forum and tell us who you are.
Welcome to CM Freddie
