I really love to play at my favorite casino using my computer..
And now, you can either play it too on mobile communication devices..

I am happy about this.. how about you guys?
Gambling is becoming more easy to access now ..

It market is continuously growing and emerging as the gaming industry also expands.. :D

One of the unfortunate things about the iPhone and iPad is that Apple won't allow gambling apps in their app store. No one wants to pay to develop an app that can only be used on a jailbroken iPhone; so, as a developer, I'm focusing on the Android platform now... but yeah. The future of this kind of gaming looks very bright; it will look a lot brighter if Apple ever decides to allow Flash on iOS (because then you won't have to go to the app store to play the games).

No one's yet built an HTML5-based casino product, but I can see that happening in the next 6-12 months (hint =)

I was actually going to start a thread similr to this! Won't now though! lol

I was wondering if you can use your favourite casinos on your iPad? Downloaded or flash or both?

That would be awesome! :D

Jstrike answered my question just as I was asking it!

Hi jstrike,

Apple are now allowing white listed operators to promote their Gambling Apps in the App Store. 32Red recently lauched the first ever real-money Blackjack App to be approved by Apple:

It wasn't an easy process and I think (or hope!, lol) that it will be difficult for the majority of other casinos to gain approval. The fact that 32Red are a Plc listed on the London Stock Exchange no doubt made the process easier.

Our new Tomb Raider Slot App is currently going through Apple's approval process, if successful we hope to have this live in the next few weeks.

bwin also have a poker app and there are lots of sportsbetiing aps...they are all coming slowly

We are actually running a mGaming Summit in June as a direct result in the growth of mobile gaming in the last 12-18 months....I genuinely believe the devices and the users are now actually ready for this where as before the phones just couldn't handle it www.mgamingsummit.com

Funny, I'm in the process of getting this forum fully functional via iPhones, Blackberrys, etc. About 100 visitors access this forum via mobiles daily.

@32red
Can you download the whole Viper suite for a tablet running android or an iPad?
Not sure how these things work?

Would be awesome to have your favourite casino software there to play.
Long bus trip, car trip, etc... With a 3G tablet pc you could play any time, anywhere!

The way it came across in your post was that you'd have to download each game you wanted to play individually?

Cheers

Mobile Roulette experiances

I can recommend Ladylucks that uses Probability gaming software. Testing out Mfortune currently (not sure if they are reputable) as they have low stake roulette like Ladyluck. Compared to Microgaming Spin3 and Playtech that have higher min bets starting from £1.

Mfortune doesn't impress me much as the wheel spins in a complete blur, whereas Ladylucks doesn't show a spinning wheel, it has the ball bouncing above and along the numbers that are arranged in a straight line (looks more like piano keys) though it suits its purpose for the small phone screen and good fun.

Hi Gremmy,

I'm afraid the Viper suite isn't compatable with iPhone/iPad, and yes, each Official App only contains one game at the moment.

An alternative is our iPhone site which has 11 of our most popular games. You can find this

Okay, let's talk for real.

Frankly, smart money right now is on Android, which is starting to make serious gains against Apple's market share; and many of us believe that Apple is going to cave to pressure to allow AIR/Flex/Flash apps and web plugins in the next 6-12 months. Which will blow the gaming market on iPhone wide open. So developing a native iOS client app in Objective-C, the iPhone's native app language, which would cost anywhere from $50k for a simple poker client to $300-500k+ for a casino suite, is looking less and less attractive. Unless, of course, you have a lock on being the only gaming app allowed in the app store. In which case, it'd be like your dead uncle willed you a fuckin gold mine. In which case, nice move, but it's got nothing to do with software quality and everything to do with greasing wheels.

You can't get pre-approval for an app to the app store until it's written...at least according to Apple. That means you spend the money, you write tons and tons of code, you make your app...then you submit it and if Apple rejects it from the store, you have no one to appeal to. I'd be curious to know whether 32Red took a total flyer on it and sank a day's gross gaming revs into writing an iPhone app, without knowing whether it would be approved (and knowing that many before had been rejected), or whether there was a bit of back-channel diplomacy going on... like, maybe they sourced Steve Jobs a new stomach. Either way it would make for a pretty interesting story that hopefully will be written someday =)

The mobile market for gaming software will be wildly in play and up for grabs for the next 2-3 years, and especially so when the US comes back into the fold. That's great news for players and for startup companies alike.

Speaking of the mobile gaming industry, Android is taking its big step on 2012, with them having almost half of of the mobile gaming share in the market..

If I am not mistaken, it's 49% ...

Mobile gaming and gambling is really fast developing over time.. And I am happy I will just be needing my mobile communications device to play my game. What could it be called then? "Mobile gaming device"? Mobile gambling device"? Whatever.. :D

Can't find it anymore but there was also some kind of iPad specially invented for Hard Rock Hotel's where people could gamble on... Argh gonna search it... since the Panda Update I only find BS sites at Google lol...

hey interesting topic

As jstrike pointed out, Android will eventually start eating into market share of apple devices, but actual future casinos which will succeed would be the ones playable on windows Android apple and blackberry (in short all kind of devices). The best solution is having a online casino on mobile site accessible form all devices.

is one such site that is playable from many smartphone devices.

Ive picked myself up an Acer tablet. Finally a tablet with some nice connectivity options
Has there been any progress on the android front from progressive casinos to provide gamiing apps

I've user a couple of sites using my Android phone, found them a bit basic, but like everyone's aware its a fairly new technology but from what I've seen so far would be worth the wait.

For some reason though the mobile sites I've used 32 red spring to mind make you withdraw using the pc site and you cant withdraw from your phone app for some reason?
