You know a game has been badly designed when winning 30x on the feature feels like a victory.

I've had around 70 features now and only 3 times have I managed over 100x. I feel this is a very high variance slot disguised as lower variance due to all the small meaningless wins.

It's like taking one of my best childhood memories - turning into a boring, frustrating, stressful game, and then charging you a fortune to play it.

I was already hating this game but after hearing about Richard Attenborough's death yesterday, I will not be revisiting this slot.

Trust me there is nothing disguised about it - it's a very high variance slot through out. As for your wins from 70 features or the lack of them those kind of runs are within the norm when playing slots like these. It seems to me that you have too high expectations and get frustrated if you don't hit it big in a *timely manner*.

I added up the features from other casinos I played this game at and it's 90 total. The total amount of hours playing this game must be at least 20, so I don't think my expectation of one single decent win is unreasonable.

There is potential in the free spins for giant wins but the amount of times you trigger the bonus and it pays very little means there's is no real excitement when you do get the feature. I feel more like I should prepare for disappointment rather than expect one of those giant wins, just like DoA.
 
My Experience So Far

I've played about 4 hours max, input about $200 at 90c - $1.50, hit the Fs 12 times. I got this hit from $1.50 in my most recent session. I say it is a well designed high variance game, what does irritate me along with T2 and Dark Knight is that a lot of the symbols are hard to tell apart at a glance which means I can't see a win rolling in, I have to wait for the spin to end which defeats the object of a slot. I have a large Pc monitor, 24". I know a lot of dinos were kinda brown but backgrounds and borders could be utilised more.

I'm late to the party here but the slot was released when I was taking a break from gambling.

Anyway, after ~5000 spins here's my short review:

Hands down is the best MGS release since IR. It succeed where all the other big releases failed (TDKR, Avalon II, T2...) Game play is surprisingly smooth and fast, it's a very fun slot with just the right variance and the right amount of stuff to keep you interested. There's the possibility to win big in the base game AND in the bonus rounds...

Sure it's mean sometimes but you have to expect that if you want to have big wins in the paytable.

A+ ! Awesome release.

Only downside is some dinos are too similar to each other which makes it difficult to see all the wins as they happen. Other than that, it's nearly perfect.
 
I have continued to play this slot a lot since release and would now like to offer a more rounded opinion.

I feel my initial assessment was a bit harsh. I like this slot and have now hit decentish wins during TREX ALERT and also a 500x betsize free spin round (stacked velociraptors everywhere and a 5x symbol awarded).

It is difficult to get the free spin round but you can genuinely be excited when it comes as there is real potential for a big hit. Not fake potential, REAL potential and that is what I like when I am playing a slot.

So after a good few weeks of play I would like to award this slot a big thumbs up from me. It will be my go to start slot from now on (until something else comes along of course!)
 
Let me just warn people new to this slot. It all looks very sympathatic with these nice looking dinosaures and of course we all loved the movie right?
So not a slot that looks very high variance and brutal. But the opposite is true, it is as high variance as IR and FROL. And I would say the free spins features are all very high variance as well. So when you finally hit them, good chances are they pay very little.

My last 20 features, not one was above 15x and 10 of them between 0 and 5xbet.:confused::(:(
Especially feature no. 5 is extremely frustrating and wil give between 0 and 10x bet most of the time.
Now I have been waiting for the free spins to hit for one hour and 10 minutes, 875 spins. Still not there and I stopped playing. :(:(:(

You will experience mostly frustration playing this one. Like all slots on a bad run I guess :rolleyes:
 
So after 100 features without ever seeing more than 200x, I get 200x on my second ever feature at nextcasino. Not only that, but my first feature also paid 150x.

The laws of randomness continue to amuse me.

Now if I can hit 1000x on my third feature, I'll break even on this slot. :cool:

This new game (as with all mg's new games) is beyond bad, at 30p spins across many casinos, ive yet to see a win bigger than £10.50, worse than Avalon 2 for bonus triggers, hundreds and hundreds of spins pass by without even seeing two scatters yet alone three.
On the very rare occasion it does trigger, the bonus games have all sucked and payed less than 20x bet (I've seen t-rex, raptor and brachiosaurus)
Plus the t-rex wildstorm thing rarely triggers and then when it does, you usually come out with less than what you started with.

Dreadful, Dreadful game.


Oh well at least we have new games out today, oh wait THREE new 243 way clones how exciting (not).

Funny thing I noticed of the "new" games on mg's client 13 out of the 15 are 243 ways.
 
It can be an incredibly frustrating game, but then again, aren't all 243 ways slots like that?

I had a session earlier today which sums up the bad and the good.

Wait over 200 spins for first feature (I pick T-Rex). Win is modest. Get a second feature soon after (I pick T-Rex again) and another modest win.

Get a third feature (I pick T-Rex again) and finally manage to get a win just over 100xbet. £20 up on the session (I'm betting 30p a spin).

Drop most of my profit but get feature again. This time I choose Dilophasaurus (which has been totally ghastly for me - 10 times I've had this feature and I have yet to win more than 10 times my bet). Oops....make that 11 tries. I won less than 2x bet.

About 950 spins after the third T-Rex feature which put me £20 up and I am now £110 down, thanks to an RTP of barely over 50% during that 950 spins spell. And I haven't had a feature since the Dilophasaurus round.

Then I get a feature. I go with T-Rex again. Round is looking like a disaster and then....

My first 3 reeler. Stacked T-Rexes on one reel and two T-Rexes on the other reel. 14 T-Rexes for 162 5OAKs of T-Rex £243 win. 810 x bet.

Pure frustration to pure elation in under 5 seconds.

Now £140 up. Dropped £20 and quit.

soon after it pays more than 50 times it chews before the next feature ive had a couple of 1000 times bet some 100 to 150 times and more than anything less than 15 times bet its like 1 decent feature every 6 features by decent i mane more than 25 times bet and a 50 times is like 1 in 15 features.
 
Been playing it a bit more, unlocked the player selection but I will probably avoid as 80% of the time its almost completely dead which means im only ever playing lowest stake just because of its money eating capabilities. It does pay well on occasion and the other day I managed to turn £10 into a few hundred from various wins on this slot, kept hitting free spins every minute and had a few ok wins. Not for me though as playing even 0.60p stakes can eat up a £200 bank in no time on this game

Best hit so far, slightly annoying it was at a 0.30p stake but still 410x total feature, expected a bit more tbh as ive had much bigger hits recently on similar games with less impressive symbols but it was a nice hit still.
 
I am quite disappointed at this slots. I just finished my 150K spins real money at average $3. No 1000x +, no 500x +, the biggest one is 480x.
My RTP is quite high, but I am so disappointed... No excitement what so ever. I felt I did not get what I am paying for... 20k in the red...

Comparing with IR, which I played over 500K spins, I hit 2000x + 4 times,

Avalon 2, 150K spins, 1000x 3 ,

T2, 50K spins, 1000x 2 ...

I tried every trick I knew, lower my bet to half average, played in one casino for 24 hours no stop, went to play in many casinos...

I could have had T-rex alert more than 100 times, the best is 270x...

This one for me, sucks...
 
I think they should have a different bonus ending screen

Unfortunately it ain't just MGS that does this - pretty much all slots / providers have the same message with 'insert total here'...

I agree it's an additional kick in the nuts to a cr@ppy bonus round, but if we started seeing a different message for poor pays, players could interpret that as the developers knowing that poor bonus rounds happen frequently enough to warrant the extra dev work. This could in turn lead to players starting to avoid the game(s), which could lead to wins for remaining players happening less frequently (as there's less money going into the game), leading to even more players avoiding the game(s).

This is actually implented in Battlestar Galactica...... if you have very poor payout in free spins round a message comes up :P :D Try notice next time playing :D :thumbsup: I think i have a screen shot somewhere here in forum so surprised they have not kept that up.

I have been playing this almost every day for a month and I can see why people might like it for the graphics, bonuses and the potential of a huge win. But to me it's just the latest in a long line of money grabbers MG have released in the past 8 months.

Bonus rounds seem to be on average triggering at 300+ spins. Bonus rounds are crap paying 1 to 20x bet. My latest bonus took 600 spins and the spins paid £0.20 on a £0.60 bet trigger and this cost me £180.

Yeah "but it's high variance" people say. I have seen all the bad pays but where are all the huge 1000-3000x wins in the screenshots?

The last big slot before this,T2,when that was released I was averaging a bonus round every 100 spins based on 10,000 spins in one week and my RTP was around 94%. But since then session after session my RTP is below 50% and any bonus trigger is 200+ spins and pays shit.

I have had 50,000 spins on T2 and never triggered hot mode and never won higher than 150xbet. I find that incredible and disgusting for a 243 way slot!

Like you, I've never had hot mode or won higher than 150x bet. In fact, I'm struggling to recall a time when I won 100x bet. And yes, it is disgusting.
T2 has been a massive disappointment. I cannot think of something so demoralising on a slot as knowing you have no chance of a 100x bet win before the free spins have even started.

Contrast that with JP where, after some early concerns/reservations, I can give high praise for a slot that gives clear evidence of big win potential that is accessible via all 5 bonus rounds, the T-Rex Alert and the base game. The variety also is a big plus. I consider JP to be a triumph.
 
So far for me with Jurassic Park I had lots of feature compare to other was not as much as this and pay out in small amount quite frequent too, similar algorithm to say Avalon II. So you don't bust your bank too fast which is a positive thing. Girls with Gun I find is the one easy to bust your bank roll so quick. Might be better to stick to lower bet to keep you going. I have had a 1,000x with $0.30 in feature before and $300+. Can't complain at all. That is just a massive win for just a barely $0.30 which is insane though! That was through Wild Wolf feature. If you have all wild you would have end up around $800+ for just $0.30 bet. Now thats sick!

As you probs guessed this is one of my fave / 'go to' games.

Until the video I posted earlier IIRC I think I have gone 7-8 deposits with no features. Countless 'Teaser' spins.

That £70 odd win in winners videos I posted today was my first bonus in well over 2,000 spins, good job it wasn't peanuts otherwise I think I'd have been on my way to PC World!
 
Great very intense slot but can be brutal with the bonus rounds. Remember exmas before last going something like 1300 spins no bonus round
then it came in and paid around 4 times bet. That was at guts and the sessions is on my top sickest loosing sessions beaten only by a horror of a run years back on center court.
HV this slot when it wants to be ... and HV in the extreme. Going 500 or 600 spins without hitting a feature is not surprising.

How's this for a contrast?

Rizk - 1st ever session. Two consecutive spins gave me features, both of which paid over 150x. Easy withdrawal.

GUTS - 3 sessions in total. 1st session - 5 features triggered within 150 spins. Was up a mere £3.80 at the end of the fifth feature.
After the 3rd session, I had played 22 features. Not one of them has paid me a win of £10.
Yet I managed my best ever base game win of about 175x.
And my next best base game win? Only the 5 bloody scatters.
And I even managed to get two sets of six T-Rex Alert spins to give me a profit of over £10 (but less than £15).
My best feature win is coming in a poor third behind my best two T-Rex alerts. And they weren't even that good.

I mean....WTF?

So I am 3 feature triggers away from being able to pick my feature on JP at GUTS. But which one do you pick when they are ALL shite?
Not even Velociraptor and Brachiosaurus can get me a win of 30x bet.

GUTS fucking owes me a good feature or two on that game. I know it's HV, but 22 consecutive features paying out less than 30x bet
is just a frickin' joke. The base game (which isn't playing particularly well either) is putting the quality of the features to shame.

Experienced that sort of payout from a BR (after waiting what seemed like forever) too many times.

I have the choice of Dinosaur at a whopping 5 different sites now (imagine how many spins that is!) and can only recall 2-3 features in all that time that were really decent and memorable!

It was a very fair slot IMO when first released but now every session seems like a serious uphill struggle!

I am going to give up for today. Whatever I touch is turning to shit today. Even Ruby Slippers that usually turns out some features is a cold as ice for me.

Can't complain this week though because I am well in profit after the mad spell earlier this week and I want to keep it that way rather than throw the money back at the casino (sorry Videoslots!)
 
well the amazon queen behaved pretty good at least for me even after quiting and going back to it, so try some min bets and see what happens. i quit playing JP long time ago for the same purpose: 8/10 bonuses between 2-30x not worth the hassle.

Question for those that play this slot more than I do.

With the running wilds bonus round it says "stacked wilds are held". Now this doesn't happen all of the time. Sometimes you get a respin with the wild reel held but most of the times the wild reel is not held and it goes to the next spin.

How come?

Only hold if there isnt a win there.
But if a win doesnt come in after the respin, it wont hold again IIRC
