Today's advent calendar at Royal Vegas was a freeroll on Mad Hatters. I played, and it almost seemed like MGS had fixed the bugs, so I decided to try the triple bling tournament (the first round being free).

At first, play seemed faster than recently, and began to think the bugs had been fixed.......

but then........

the first lag appeared, but it was not overly long, and didn't indicate a sudden onset of "terminal lag". A couple more isolated lagged spins appeared, and then:mad:

Well, expectations were met, MGS STILL can't get it right.

The reels just sat there spinning endlessly, on and on, and the lag indicator rose all the way into the red, and then cycled again and again. It was a full blown disconnect:mad:

Exited the tournament and tried to reload. No luck, screen went to "loading", and just stopped there - couldn't get past 99% and start the game - clear indication it was a disconnect from the actual tournament server. Exited the casino altogether and reloaded it.

Whilst this cleared the blockage, it was useless as time is so incredibly tight with MPV that even ONE incident of this magnitude can render the ENTIRE tournament worthless, even with continues available. Tight timing means one can NEVER hope to catch up when disconnects are a regular occurrance like this.

It is the inabilty to simply exit the game and reload without having to exit the casino altogether that is the big problem. It seems there is a client side bug that creates some kind of block on this that is only cleared by unloading the client completely.

The lobby upgrade in it's default state does not seem to have fixed this, even the change to running the games as separate Windows processes, which I had hoped might have made things better.

Shame for Royal Vegas, as had MPV worked, I would have deposited quite a chunk, possibly getting on for 1K, and tried this tournament through all 100 continues as I had before. This £1000 is now still in my Neteller, awaiting a different opportunity.

Maybe the update later today (Immortal Romance) might make things better, but somehow I doubt it, and if anything it could make things worse like last month until MGS issue a patch.
