I was wondering how ppl on here are feeling about the quality of micro gaming recent releases.

I feel over the last year or so the games have been dropping in quality compared to net and other flash casinos what are your thoughts

Creativity has obviously dwindled at MG headquarters and I believe that they have become over-reliant on their brand. Clones of succesful games is the order of the day with them and has been for at least a couple of years now.

Netent make the best overall games and despite their paytable-destroying antics their games do still entertain. They have botched a couple of big licenses but I think South Park was spot on.

Don't know much about WMS, and Playtech is all but brown bread. I'm excited at some of the up-and-coming providers that like all fledgling companies actually seem to put some thought into their software.

Wow, that's a proper Bitch and Moan / Can of worms question / OP lol, few members may have a few choice word to describe their feelings towards MG lol.

My thoughts despite my loyalty to their software / games.

Greedy
Lazy
Money Grabbing with minimal outlay.

New Company motto/slogan: - Get rid of the decent titles (but with big money licencing costs granted) and replace with a clone

or

'Star Wars II'

Yup Microgaming have ran out of ideas. The newer slots look like crap and play like crap too. It's a pity since there are other companies out there coming out with great ideas. I think they put pieces of paper on a board with slot ideas and throw darts at it to pick the next theme. If they keep going they are going to lose customers.

Thanx for the input so far I have to agree with you all I've been very loyal to them for like 10 odd years and it wasn't until the last two I started playing on betspin, guts and slotsmillion I find the pokies on there are heaps more entertaining I also feel micro gaming slots are paying out a lot less these days maybe that's just me but.

I found Hot as Hades to be decent, but even that is crap compared to the popular 243 liners.
It's obviously going downhill with Microgaming while those Swedish game publishers are getting more and more popular.
Netent, Play n Go, Yggdrasil and Quickspin to name a few.

I have to completely agree with the OP really. They have appeared to run out of steam and ideas. It's an absolute shame. Not too long ago they were probably my favourite game provider. It's like they have gone from the glory days of their great quality 9-liners such as Thunderstruck, Agent Jane Blonde, BDBA etc to their huge success with 243 way slots lime IR, Playboy, TS2 etc to absolute garbage.

I appreciate it can be hard to come up with fresh and new ideas. Heck, it appears that slot manufacturers are simply copying elements of each other (Queen of Riches and Twin Spin. Book of Ra Deluxe and another new copy from someone else which is broadly similar). I think copying is almost inevitable and unavaoidable in many respects and that's fine. Just don't clone something in it's entirety all the time and just give it different graphics. One reason I like NetEnt games these days is their actually variety. They're actually innovative. They try and make each slot different in it's own right. When was the last time MG actually tried to do this?

I'm sticking with the older MG games for now. The most recent MG creation I have played I think is JP or GOT. Mostly because I like 243 way games. But also because everything since is just. Well. It's crap!

I'd have to agree with you chaos the net et always try to change it up with fresh ideas were is MG are just cloning there games maybe MG can give net et a call for some tips lol

How about some more "WIN SUM DIM SUM"

Geez, i grew up in the online gaming world with MG but haven't touched any of their news slots from the last few years. Utter crap.

Agree with this.

There are more software providers than ever now and so the market is "watered down".
Also with the slow death of the Microgaming only download casinos (STILL by FAR the best way to play online IMPO) and their games now just a small selection from the 1,000's some casinos offer - they must be taking a hit financially.
I have no idea how much it costs to develop a brand new unique slot - but I know it's probably not cheap!

I dunno, their recent releases look cheap enough. That piece of crap I reviewed today and did the video for, well it was tripe. I can't even remember the name, it was that forgettable.

What can I say, I like MG! :D

I started with others, 13 years ago. Not impressed. Then I found MG. For a number of reasons, I stayed with them. MG download is the best, although I used to play a lot of flash the first years.

Maybe it’s just that I only play 2-3 games and rarely try something new. The thing is, all the free spins I got on other brands all these years were crap! I am in no position to say how good all the other games are, since I have only tried a few spins on a few of them. But I haven’t seen anything in other brands that will make me try their game before I try another MG one. :)

Dont even know the name of the last few releases from MG as I never really bother look now. Most of what they have produced the past year or more have been crap.

The last great releases were GOT, JP and you can throw T2 in with that. The rest - rubbish. Dont get me wrong I love the older MG games but new releases wow so boring.

Microgaming

Game Of Thrones is a great slot if you get it on a good day. I play 15 lines version. Have had some great wins, also love Immortal Romance. There are great wins to be had if you lucky:)

Canadians could possibly have a future of only Microgaming again. To be fair, Microgaming always have slots with huge potential. Immortal Romance, Deck the Halls, Hellboy and Leagues of Fortunes gave me great bonuses in 2016. Yes, they have a lot of shit but they do have some nice games. Sadly, everybody is getting lazy. It would be tough to name 5 2016 releases that could be classics like Dead or Alive and Immortal Romance are. Guns 'N Roses, Book of Dead, The Rift, Buffalo Blitz and Queen of Riches is my list. Not impressive, sadly.

The quality has dropped to quite alarmingly bad levels. To the extent that I can't even be bothered giving a new release a chance to win me over.

The only new-ish MG game that I've played was Pretty Kitty. One session of that has led me to rename it Pretty SHITTY.

I've not played a single spin on Lucky Zodiac, Happy Holidays, Lucky Twins, Dragon Dance, Wild Orient, Karaoke Party, Bikini Party, Lost Vegas, Jungle Jim, Frozen Diamonds, Bar Bar Black Sheep 5 Reel, Reel Spinner or Win None Dim Lot. And I probably haven't even mentioned a few of their more recent releases, such is their forgettability factor.

The most recent MG releases that I spent more than the bare minimum time playing were Pistoleras, Kitty Cabana and Hound Hotel. How bloody long ago did they come out? Over a year ago?

And having said all that, MG is still my favourite provider. Such is the pulling power of the classic 9 liners like Agent Jane Blonde and of course, the 243 ways games like IR and Finer Reels. But the new stuff is just so poor that I can't even be bothered to look at them. And if the screenie threads are any kind of an indicator, not many CM-ers are playing these games either. Has anyone here actually posted a screenie of some of those games listed above? Because I don't think I've seen many, if any. It's the usual suspects dominating the threads...IR, TS2, JP, GOT, Playboy, Finer Reels etc etc,

I do wish that MG would actually go back to the drawing board and put some real thought into making a game, like they did with the likes of Avalon 2 and Jurassic Park. Instead of just clogging up their catalogue with clones that very few people are going to get slightly excited about/interested in playing. At the same time though, there is a very big problem. It's difficult to come out with really fresh ideas. Any new slot seems to have an ingredient within it that has already been seen on another slot.

Or in the case of WMS, a rules "page" that takes about an hour to read by which time, you've lost interest in playing and gained interest in trying to get rid of your newly-acquired migraine.

Lost Vegas utterly disappointed me at the weekend! Thought I would give it a go myself. Zombie theme. Looked promising. Got excited when I could pick to be either Zombies or Survivors. Thought it could be good. I played both. Got bored quite quickly I'm afraid. Free Spins are poor too. They seem to be over far too quick. The number is unknown and he zombie one seemed to dump you out surprisingly quickly. Don't get me wrong, I know that's variance playing it's part. I just didn't like it personally.

So I went to play all the older ones. Had some great hits on TS2. Even hit a double retrigger in the Valkyrie feature. Think the most recent one I played was Lucky Leprechaun after that. I tend to avoid he Irish themed ones these days as they all seem the same. Lucky Leprechaun didn't seem too terrible tbh. I think the FS feature may have worked well for Lost Vegas actually. Oh for the good old days of MG. You can do better than this guys!
