The quality has dropped to quite alarmingly bad levels. To the extent that I can't even be bothered giving a new release a chance to win me over.
The only new-ish MG game that I've played was Pretty Kitty. One session of that has led me to rename it Pretty SHITTY.
I've not played a single spin on Lucky Zodiac, Happy Holidays, Lucky Twins, Dragon Dance, Wild Orient, Karaoke Party, Bikini Party, Lost Vegas, Jungle Jim, Frozen Diamonds, Bar Bar Black Sheep 5 Reel, Reel Spinner or Win None Dim Lot. And I probably haven't even mentioned a few of their more recent releases, such is their forgettability factor.
The most recent MG releases that I spent more than the bare minimum time playing were Pistoleras, Kitty Cabana and Hound Hotel. How bloody long ago did they come out? Over a year ago?
And having said all that, MG is still my favourite provider. Such is the pulling power of the classic 9 liners like Agent Jane Blonde and of course, the 243 ways games like IR and Finer Reels. But the new stuff is just so poor that I can't even be bothered to look at them. And if the screenie threads are any kind of an indicator, not many CM-ers are playing these games either. Has anyone here actually posted a screenie of some of those games listed above? Because I don't think I've seen many, if any. It's the usual suspects dominating the threads...IR, TS2, JP, GOT, Playboy, Finer Reels etc etc,
I do wish that MG would actually go back to the drawing board and put some real thought into making a game, like they did with the likes of Avalon 2 and Jurassic Park. Instead of just clogging up their catalogue with clones that very few people are going to get slightly excited about/interested in playing. At the same time though, there is a very big problem. It's difficult to come out with really fresh ideas. Any new slot seems to have an ingredient within it that has already been seen on another slot.
Or in the case of WMS, a rules "page" that takes about an hour to read by which time, you've lost interest in playing and gained interest in trying to get rid of your newly-acquired migraine.
