I have been getting pretty bad lag the past week, normally I would just get on with it. But the Grand Slam off Slots II tourney is starting on March 14.

Hope things pick up by then. So just me, or?

My pic shows a 4 bar lag. which is top end for me last week.

That lag is because of the redownloading of the entire gamelibrary, the usual MG ritual after the new games are released.

You can see the downloadicon (the 2 screens in the right uppercorner) is still active.
Just open the casino and leave it alone for 2 hours or so, until the damn thing has finally finished, the icon will dissapear and the lags will be alot less.

You have to do this with every MG casino you want to play a tourney at.
It sucks, but its obviously too difficult for MG to ONLY give us the new games without the other 487.

I also have the lag on every tournament I play, and I have downloaded everything new so that can't be the reason.

Strange.

I tried the daily at Nedplay first yesterday, without finishing the download, and could barely use up all my coins in the 10 minutes.:eek2:

Then I tried 32RED and finished the download first and had over 5 minutes left when all my coins were used.

It was still lagging a bit, but not half as bad as Nedplay.

That's odd De Beuker, I have always been able to finish my coins on there $250 daily.

I will do as you say and see if it helps. Maybe I'll get what I want.

The tournament implementation SUCKS. Lag like this is common, as well as being unpredictable.

The odd thing is that whilst the TOURNAMENTS suffer from TERRIBLE lag, the lobby games usually do NOT. All MGS need to do is devote sufficient resources to the tournaments, and the lag will be similar to that found in the main lobby games, which is almost NONE (assuming no updates are taking place).

Many players have abandoned the tournaments because of all these problems.

Lag is only one of MANY glitches I have found recently, when I decided to give the tournaments another go.

I am also surprised at how LOW KEY this new Grand Slam tournament is. Of all the casinos I play, only ONE has sent me a SINGLE email about this, and it is one that I DON'T play, but have had an account for some while.

If it wasn't for that email, this thread would have been the FIRST I knew of this, yet it starts in TWO DAYS:confused:

I tried a tourney after waiting for the downloading icon to clear and I still had lag, even hit a fifth bar 3-4 times.

Bring on the grand slam cause I'm excited:rolleyes:

Yes, I'm still getting lags too in the tourneys, but not half as bad as during the download.

And I remember from the last GSOS that we got half an hour playtime (or was it an hour?) for a number of coins that could be used up in 5-7 minutes, so the lags were not really a problem.

I'm also experiencing freeze ups in normal play ever since the last 'update' from MG.
Especially LOTR and Alaskan Fishing were terrible, the reels just freeze for a few seconds in the middle of a spin.
Not a big deal if it happens once in a while, but if it happens every 2-3 spins it gets a little bit irritating...

I couldn't remember the playtime from last year. So it's good to know roughly how much time you get. If they haven't changed anything.

Last time I had bad lag, I had to buy a new computer. It went from lag to the reels coming down in blocks like I had no graphics card.

The reels spun a little better in real mode (not blocks) just painfully slow.

I have found 3 Card Poker very "jerky" since the update, but this is not really obvious in the slots. SOMETHING has clearly been screwed up, because along with this "jerky" play, my fan speeds up a fair bit, and goes quiet when I leave the game.

It looks like MGS have reintroduced an earlier problem with the graphical rendering, but the effects are slightly different from last time, where the AWP games were by far the most severely affected.
