Is it just me or does everyone else get this weird freeze of the slot reels evry so often while playing.
It is not a simple connection issue or games being downloaded in the background.
I never used to have this and it has only happened in the last few Months so I was wondering if anyone/everyone else were getting the same thing?

Strange you mention that man, I noticed that the other day there and also had the same thing happen to me last night while I was playing at one of the rival casinos...

Oh you must mean when 2 scatters or bonus triggering symbols stop and the other reels seem to pause or hesitate, as if they're resetting, not to stop on the other symbol needed to complete a bonus pay.

Been noticing that for about the past month, it's really odd and not to mention obvious.

I was going to say something about this issue but i decided to see if others had the same problem ..i see it has...not surprised

I mean the reels spin as normal and maybe the first 4 land then it will freeze the last reel in mid spin for about second (complete with blurr effect :D)
Sometimes there are no scatters.
It happens roughly every 50 spins I would say but I don't think there is a set pattern although it never happens Twice within say 20 spins.
It has happened at different MG Casinos too.

Same here....

I used to play Avalon quite a bit, it kept me on the edge of my seat and happily spinning for hour on end. You know how when you play a game enough you get familiar with the "give and take" rhythm which gives you that false sense of security to keep spinning . Well, I stopped playing it a couple months ago when to my surprise the intervals between paying spins increased dramatically, then to my shock the bonus pay had dropped form a usual $50-$60 to anything under $15. Regardless of how many coins I played my fav game would not even throw me a bone.

Decided to give it a spin about a month ago... for old times sake and it didn't take long for me to see that it was still in miserly mode. There was something weird about it so I kept spinning and being inquisitive bugger that I am I paid close attention to each spin.

What I saw at first made me think i was paranoid and looking for excuses for a loosing streak on Avalon- maybe... maybe not.

spin- nothing, spin-nothing- spin-get less than i bet, etc etc then if the first 2nd 3rd reels stopped on anything that would pay the whole rhythm of the reels would be interrupted so that the 4th and 5th reel would land and not a thing would line up. I kept playing and just focused on the rhythm and I was shocked to see that if I thought this spin would pay (anything at all ) it would be an interrupted spin and pay nothing.

The bitch of it was that after each "interrupted" spin which my gut calls a "readjustment"the following spins would all be dead spins, nothing lined up till finally the wilds and the lady would come into the picture and a couple spins would pay ( miserly) and just when I thought "i may collect more than this spin just cost me" the first 3 reels show promise then it "readjusts". WTF?

Now when I play I pick a game and test it first on the 1cent all lines and if I notice the "readjustment" I'm outta there and will go try another slot till I find one that the reels spin and it pays normally.

A costly experiment and an effort in futility but a wise ghost once whispered..."if you play them... they will pay".

I hear you but there should be no reason for any readjustment during the spin animation as any weighting would be calculated prespin.
I have the same reservations about RTG and the "rythm" of spins and glitches and if symbols were being added/changed dynamically that might account for it but that would be a very clumsy way to manipulate payout.
I have had the explanation that these glitches are caused by the end animation cutting in but if this were the case it would happen constantly where the reels are completing at least one revolution and not in batches of spins.

Another thing that has never been explained by MG and is very odd is that when you increase your stake there is a significant pause when you press spin for the first time.
I have mentioned this before but it doesn't seem to make some people curious, maybe I am living in the land of the body snatchers?

Oh I have seen it, and I have thought about ut several times! I believe the lag is for the system to query the DB and recheck your payouts and ecistsing gameplay and such, theese calculations take a little second or two, then we create your strain of RNG and you are off ready to go!

If the system is random, there are no need for a lag! The only reason for a lag is that the system does something in the other end that takes time, we wait for something. When a computer waits, it's because it's busy doing something!

Now why would it take longer time to pull 5 random numbers on a $5 bet than on a $1 bet I ask you? As the robots from earlier days sauid hopelessly "Cannot compute... cannot compute"

weed:what: man i quit that in my teens, its now bigger and better stuff now.....(NOT).......now where the hell did i lay my crack pipe after playing last night:D a silly question deserves a silly ass answer:rolleyes:..................laurie(non drug user):)

It has happened at different MG Casinos too.

It is most likely a bug with the MG lobby (yes, another one). It wasn't an issue before, but something they have done, or even a collection of things, has created the problem. I find it steadily gets worse the longer a casino session lasts, which points to some kind of "overflow" in the programme, where a steady build up of "crap" makes the flow steadily less efficient. Simply unloading the lobby software, and restarting the casino from the desktop clears the stuttery spinning, and this points to the program slowly eating up resources as it runs, till Windows has to start making system adjustments to cope, and when Windows is making these adjustments, there can be a brief pause in the foreground programmes that are running. It is not anything I can see even by running the system resources diagnostics alongside the offending MG casino.

In the past, updating MG casinos would rapidly crash Windows with the errors being related to "Windows resources low", and often needed a reboot to fix. This is a clear sign of "crap" being dumped into RAM during the update process, and it never being cleaned up when no longer required, and eventually all the RAM is cluttered up, which causes the resource error, which Windows fixes by expanding use of the paging file, which slows things down even further.

Have a Gold Star young man.
That sounds a very likely explanation some sort of memory leak, I am surprised though that the Casino does not crash completely eventually.
As you say it the only time we used to get stuttering reels was while downloading or having connection problems and i am curious as to what has changed.
It still does not explain the pause when changing bet size though and that has always existed.
Ok back to my Pink Floyd

changing the bet pause.....

Somehow I figured the "pause" when you changed your bet denomination or changed the amount of coins played ,was just the way it was normally when playing on-line , as I noticed it from day one. I read that for land based slots that changing the denomination had nothing to do with RNG and the slot had no idea of how much you were betting it just knows that your playing and the computer chip would calculate and pay accordingly. One had nothing to do with the other.
But if it should be the same on online slots then that "pausing" should not be happening.

On the up side of it..... it dose remind me instantly that I'm betting more and my wins should reflect my higher investment..... so i really watch how much it's paying and usually can see pretty quickly which number of coins in the game I want to play is paying...... and nicely too!

Lately I can make so much more playing 1 cent X I credit on any MG than any other variation...... go figure!
