Heavy on the wallet though
New clothes for everyone, red packets to everyone from 3rd great-great aunty to 5th nephew and niece (or thereabouts, I can never remember the people as most I see only once a year, feels like Al Bundy sitting on the couch and handing banknotes to everyone - my son, of course, loves it because it means extra pocket money for him 
), reunion dinner etc etc.

Yes i hear red packets are given and the more money you have the more you are expected to share i think.
I have no relations in that neck of the woods so no red packets to dish out but the pictures i see look fantastic and the celebrations go on for a week or two - my kind of party (though not sure my ageing legs can dance for that long).
Always been fascinated with the far east and their culture but to get the thread back on track - Happy Christmas for tomorrow, my Orthodox friends. I might become Orthodox for next year so i can do my Xmas shopping in the Boxing Day sales.
