$lotland - well what do you know

.... I don't see it as essential though as they make no secret of the nature of the games and because everyone knows that Slotland is all about slots and all the games run on the same jackpot and mechanism.

Yeah but, it's this line that should be modified to alliviate any ambiguity:
"You may try your luck at the Jacks Or Better, the classic video poker game." This could be changed to "You may try your luck at the Jacks Or Better Slots, based on the classic video poker game."

How's that sound?

What I don't understand is why you mention Space Invaders and Pong in the same sentence as Slotland? What is the connection?[/QUOTE]

I just meant that the games at Slotland are so primative they remind me of those old games.

I am quite sure everything at Slotland is a Slot game. That is why it is called Slotland. It only carries slots. At least that I what I would assume.

Allslots have real card games. Anyway, you are missing the point. Slotland can have "card-slots" if they announce it loud and clear. And not try to pretend it's a real jacks-or-better when its a slot version of it (which makes a massive difference).

What you suggest is a good idea, Bryan. I would suggest that the removal of ALL ambiguous (or deceiptful, depending on how you see it) aspects is necessay, however:

1) "We offer six different slot machines and three stylish card games at the moment."

= "We offer nine different slot machines at the moment" ?

("We currently offer nine different slot machines" sounds better)

= "We currently offer six different slot machines and three stylish slot-based card games." ?

2) "In addition to our slot machines, we offer four great card games"

This should be removed, because there is nothing ADDITIONAL; all these games are slots. To suggest that the "card" slots are somehow "additional" to the "slot" slots is to imply that the mechanism is non-slot, and a such random, in the standard sense of the word. At the very worst, it should be ammended to so include the slot fact..."In addition to our slot machines, we offer four great slot-based card games." However, that sounds a bit convoluted.

3) (Re. JOB slot) "...Our pay table for this game is the highest and most generous in the industry."

JOB 9/6 - REAL 9/6 - is commonplace in MG, RTG and Playtech. Not only is SL's version not the highest, the nature of the 95% slot return on this game makes it comparable to JOB 6/5 - the VERY WORST JOB paytable in existence.

I would suggest the following, based on Bryan's suggestion:

"You may try your luck at Jacks Or Better, a slot (machine) based on the classic video poker game. You do not need to place a maximum bet to get a bonus pay out on the Royal Flush (although a maximum bet with a Royal Flush WILL win the jackpot!)."

3) "Striking Sevens video poker is similar to popular Deuces Wild..."

= "Striking Sevens video slot is similar to popular Deuces Wild..." ?

4) "For a little more excitement and to triple your chance for the BIG win, enjoy exciting triple play action at the WildHeart, our Double Joker video poker machine."

Again, substitute "video slot" for "video poker".

Well, well. Changes have been made. They haven't gone so far as to state that the VP games are actually slots, and neither have they chosen to alter the "in addition to..." introduction line, which leaves the implication that the VP-slots are somehow different from the slot-slots. But, they HAVE inserted the words "based on", and and removed the "highest and most generous in the industry" from the JOB slot description, "putting "very generous" in its place.

re jackpot win

Casinomeister - please don't get nonchalant about our gripes. I value casinomeister.com highly and I always make a point to register through casinomeister.com to ensure that you will get your % from my deposits. I've considered a recommendation by Casinomeister word of god when it comes to online casinos. I hope it stays that way.

RE the jackpot win on lines not bet on. Of course the casino is free to determine whether they make the jackpots hit the unbet lines frequently or not, I never said I was ripped off. But you, Dominique and Casinomeister, missed the point I was trying to make.

The point being: The subjective feeling that a player has, of trusting that the slot machines are RANDOM, goes down the drain when it appears that they are not random after all. I have no quarrel with the jackpot appearing randomly on a line where no bet was placed and thus no win. That's fine. But can't help it, I forget to bet TWICE and I IMMEDIATELY get a progressive jackpot on one line and a major win on the other (what were the odds again?). No other big wins in a $5000 wager session. And from what I hear, this is a fairly common occurrence. If you don't bet on a line, at $lotland you may get a jackpot at a high frequency on that line. That doesn't spell RANDOM for me.

Now this causes the player to feel that the slot is heavily rigged and constantly analysing the player's betting, even though the overall win percentage may be fine, and the randomness may be fine on the played lines. But as for me, the feeling is, OK they rig that thing, maybe they can rig the rest of it.

It's just like the Jacks or Better thing. Players detest the fact that the game is not RANDOM, even though the small print may be legally sound.

So my point, bad PR (instead of added excitement) for the casino, and I'm out. I'll go for randomness.

OH, by the way, $lotland advertises 98% return on all their slots, "certified!"...where's that certification? I can't find it. Who certified the slots?

Entertainment at its finest ;)
The numbers don't add up, 22+40+97=159.
What game did you play? For a slot machine it is perfectly normal that you lose most of the time, and most of your return comes from a few big wins.

I can't believe you guys are still discussing Slotland. I wouldn't recommend anyone to play there. And Slotland has the nerves to process withdrawals only on Tuesday.

WARN SIGN: PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Sorry for the typo mistake it was 159 played on lightning 7s.
Ive never played a slot that hands out this kind of win ratio, and this has been recurring for mths here.
Reason I play here is for the bonuses which have a 1 time playthrough. And even they are hit and miss affairs.
For a $200 deposit they give you 25% = $50 ,WR = $250 on any other software that would be a breeze even gfed, but @ slotland it`s a slog everytime.
I do give slotland respect for acknowledging the unfairness of their games by giving you a chance with the one time playthrough
I`ll still play here but only with a bonus you gotta be crazy not to ;)
