Living on a building site...

Well, that's what it feels like at the moment! :eek2:

We're having some work done on our Czech house; refurbishing the balconies, replacing the driveway and putting insulation round the back and side of the building, because when it was built the idiots just let the soil of the garden run about 8 foot up those walls, which meant a lot of damp on the rear ground floor. :(

So it's been very noisy & muddy here the last two days - and very dry too last night after the workmen put the digger through the water-pipe from the well leaving us with no water in the taps!

Here's some photo's I just took:

I know the date is a month out, but our camera has broken and I can't adjust it! :eek2:

i currently have no water, shower or toliet and only half a back wall-putting in new bathroom- after we stripped out the old found all the studs in back wall had rotted- have to wait a week for biullder to rebuild thewall then reline it all retile it all and then hope the plumber is available to install everything.

all bathroom fittings sanitary ware and tiles currently residing in the dining room while all the lining sheets and timber residing in the living room- the only room i dont have to move sideways in is the bedroom.

Looks like fun

We've had construction going on inside and outside of our house for nearly two years - but we've just finished everything this past week. We (and the neighbors) can finally have some peace.

At least you can enjoy some decent beer while you're there. I love the Czech Pilsners. :drink:
