I've played both and would like to know what all of you think about either playing Live via a video link or playing with the casino software.

I know for a fact that when I used to play at Intercasino I would fare better at a table with people sitting on it already than alone.

Anyone care to share their opinions and their reasons why....

The reasoning voice inside me tells me it's harder for there to be bias with a Live Dealer and that your fate really lies with lady luck and the way you play.

However, I have heard stories of Live Dealer casinos that will introduce 'glitches' and 'server problems' when highly player-profitable events happen.

Anyway, poll attached.

Many Thanks. LOS.

I think Live Dealer has a little way to go to earn the trust of players. The biggest issue is a lack of history and a cynic might suspect it's easier for the casino to put one over on you.

However, Microgaming's clever new Live Dealer documentation system and video library (discussed in a previous thread here) should hopefully take care of all that when it's all up-and-running.

Live Dealer
Positive:
1. You can see dealing the cards.
2. You in atmosphere of real casino :)
3. As for me I trust Leave Dealer more than software. ;)

Negative:
1. Deals toooo slow...
2. Bad quality of video (in several casinos)
3. To play for a long time you need unlimited Internet connection....well, almost unlimited, but very cheap, cause it's eat a lot of traffic to transmit video from server to you.

It's my opinion.

I like the fact that I can use online casinos while doing other things. I can be dealt a hand of blackjack, then do something else for a few minutes before I go back and hit/stand/whatever.

Another interesting spin on this is that we now have "Slot parlors" in Pennsylvania. They just passed regulations allowing "Virtual" blackjack tables. They basically do just what is being done online.

But, for both online and off, I'd rather have a real dealer. :p

Agree with these points.

I was playing 'live' roulette once and clearly saw the ball land in one number, but a DIFFERENT number came up on the electronic display!!

But most of all, live dealers are just way way way too slow!!

just a quick note on live dealers, bet place in live games are in mean around 3x higher than bet place on software table games but due to the slower amounts of hand dealed per hour; turnover is 3.5x higher in software table games (per hour)
