32 Red did it again.
Well, they just did it again, at least in showing appreciation for loyalty.
I made a withdrawal last week, and checked my Neteller the following day. They had only gone and paid me TWICE
it wasn't "small change" either. I phoned straight away, and they discovered that the process batch had failed mid way, and they had to run a correction. They had no idea that they had accidentally rerun a successful payment, as normally this would be caught before it made it out. Their data only showed one payment having been made, and so they would only have noticed the error when they did their monthly audits, which would have been more than ample opportunity to have "done a runner" and left them no recourse.
In appreciation of my honesty, and full cooperation in retrieval of the sum, they gave me a substantial reward, and it was CASH, not a miserly free chip with WR. I withdrew it, and it was paid the next day (only once this time
).
It shows that they appreciate their loyal players in several ways, not just when something bad happens.
I suspect this happens more often than we hear about it on the forum.
I recall one other occasion where a different casino paid out twice by mistake. They too gave me small appreciations for my honesty, but compared to 32Red, they were indeed "small", yet at the time they were much larger entities than 32Red.
True, they didn't have to offer anything, but neither did 32Red. It is about what you spend on "good will", which is very hard to quantify on the balance sheet, but DOES make a significant longer term contribution to overall revenue. Big companies do not HAVE to give to charity, yet many do because it gets them noticed as "being generous" to the community. It can, of course, backfire. If a company tries to "buy" credibilty through supporting good causes, rather than it being a genuine contribution to the communities they serve, they can be "eaten alive" when the media finds out.
