Just a heads up to anyone who may not have seen Lads are running this promo again!
Bit silly of them at the start though because the 'bonus week' runs from Monday to Sunday, so it's not actually worth stating until next Monday, April 7th.

I just hope it's as good as March - I had a great result including an unbelieveable number of free-spin triggers on Mega Moolah; The odds of hitting 3 scatters is 1 in 147 spins, but I got it 17 times in 1388 spins = 1 in 81.6 - and that's NOT including 2 re-triggers! (See log of last 3 days below)

My March stats:-
Week 1; Big Break +64
Week 2; Big Break -53
Week 3; Mega Moolah +43
Week 4; Mega Moolah +41
= 95, plus the 280 in bonuses = profit of +375

Well,
I made a big net loss of this Cash splash promotion in March. The weekly bonuses didn't cover my losses on Big Break slot and Ladbrokes didn't even pay the weekly bonuses correctly. First their Customer support said that I don't need to make a new 50 deposit every day but now they refuse to pay the bonus because of that.

Notice that the cash splash promotion is April is for UK residents only so I (and many others) cannot play that.

What a shame. Thank you for this information since this could easily be missed.

Besides I have still not received the bonus from the last weeks Cash Splash.
Has any of you?

The April promotion started on 31 March, but this information was not available on the web until 1 April. Very naughty.

Wow! I didn't notice that it's UK only either - why on earth...?

And yes, I got my last 70 the day after the promo finished (i.e. on Monday). But as is often the case, no e-mail or anything - it just appeared in my balance. That is why it's important to always note how much you have in your 'bank' at the end of each session's play, so you can see if they add anything before you log in again.

Yup! I already do that and it was a good idea. Ladbrokes have forgot crediting my account 5 or 6 times in the last two months. And in one of the cases I was only credited 30 (6 days play) instead of 70 (7 days play) due to a mistake.
Ladbrokes always honour promotions, but you do have to remind them.

Or you could just use Playcheck.

Screwed up CS

I got my Cash Splash, and am in the UK and the new one for April was NOT on the website, even on the evening of April 1st, yet started on Monday supposedly. They are also running the notorious scratchcards again, CS often cock this up, and STILL owe me 5 from the last time.

This has now been overshadowed by a missing 50 deducted from my Neteller but never making it to my Ladbrokes account. This was on Sunday, and it is now Wednesday, and so far I cannot even get those idiots in CS to even ACCEPT THERE IS AN ISSUE, despite me sending a screenshot of my Neteller statement clearly showing the transaction having gone through.

I have escalated this to the rep, but they don't seem to come here very often, so I am not sure how this is going to turn out.

This is not just a one-off, this is CONSTANT COCK-UPS by them, and has been going on for 4 months, with no sign whatsoever that they give a monkey's about addressing these issues.

Why they are accredited here with these poor CS standards defeats me, this should be one of the criteria for accreditation. It is no good having a top brand, good management, etc, if the CS and player experience is so constantly bad.

I will not be bothering in April, as I cannot stomach any more screw-ups with the sheer length of time it takes for their CS to get a grip.

I am correcting that they did pay the remaining bonus today, but it always seems that you have to hassle them to get everything right.

how to determine if promotion is good?

I am pretty new to playing casinos and thought that slots are not a good way to go, so how would one determine if the slot promotion is good or not?

Answer: Calculate the expected value of promotion

I am pretty new to playing casinos and thought that slots are not a good way to go, so how would one determine if the slot promotion is good or not?

You will calculate how much you will need to wager on slots and what the bonus payout will be.

For this promotion:

Wager 50$/€/ on slots every day for one week: 350 credits wager per week
Bonus payout per week: 70 credits

Minimum slot payout to make profit: (350-70)/350 = 80%.

So if the slot you play has at least 80% return, you will make a profit. Microgaming slots are set to pay out 95% of your stakes, so it is easy to see that this is a profitable promotion.

Of course there is a risk that you will get less than 80% payback over the course of the week, but there is also a chance that you will get much more. But on average you will make a profit.

For someone who is 'pretty new' to playing casinos I certainly wouldn't recommend this if you're just interested in the promotion - even though what Jufo says is true, the 95% figure is pushed up by various jackpots and the chance of getting one of the significant ones is bonkers low - if you exclude them then I'd imagine that return would be more likely to be less than 90%. If you then take into account the sheer amount of variability in slots (as compared to roulette, baccarat, blackjack etc) then you will sometimes be looking at quite a bit of a loss. Oh and IMO if you want to find yourself playing to 0, chasing losses etc etc then slots are the way to go. =)

Obviously if you just want to play slots and have some fun with it then forget the above, but check what games are allowed - february was well dodgy and included two slots that were so bad that I didn't even bother with March.

What are the allowed games - can't get onto Ladbrokes at the moment. I'm tempted to have another go, but KK always makes it look so easy - last time I spoke to Ladbrokes CS I actually had an argument (though to be fair they did email and apologise).

Shocked & Jufo's posts are both very valid. Even I would not suggest that Ladbrokes slots promotion (easily the most generous on the net) is a 'dead cert win' by any means.
As these two posters rightly said, the high variance of slots makes the 95% return pretty irrelevant over short term play like this is.
These promos are great for players who would be playing slots anyway without a promotion - this just gives a better chance of winning.

What are the allowed games - can't get onto Ladbrokes at the moment.
This month it's {Edit - thanks Jufo} Mermaids Millions, and the two ones new last month; Gypsy Queen (I quite like this one) and Rainbows End.

If you're looking to play the lowest risk strategy, then in theory Rainbows End should be the best at minimum bets because it has most winlines (25) which should make it the lowest variance of the 3.
In practice of course, anything could happen!

If I remember correctly the third one was Mermaids Millions and not Mega Moolah?
You are quite correct - my silly mistake! :p

I'm about to find out if Ladbrokes CS is as useless as their banking screen - how ridiculous is this:-

My Debit card expired on March 31st, so I just tried to register my new card.
But their system says I must withdraw all my funds first...
Well I tried, but it was refused because my card expired on March 31st... ! :sob: :axeman:

Hi,
Join the club:rolleyes:

Earlier today, I got this from their "left hand":-

Thank you for your e-mail.

I have checked your account and can advise that the payment of 50 made
on the 30th March at 13:30:45 was declined and therefore never went into
your Ladbrokes account, you can check this in the statement section in
the banking section.

However, their "right hand" had FINALLY "smelt the coffee" (well, I did sling it in their face:D ) and I found the missing 50 had been found and placed into my sports account, so I was able to take control of it.
So, problem solved, but no credit whatsoever to those in CS:mad:

KK, your case is yet another example, will this litany of cock-ups NEVER END:mad::mad:

How about MAX "waking up & smelling the coffee" and removing them from the accredited section UNTIL they start to make changes in CS to address these issues that have been ongoing, without remedial action, for 4 MONTHS!

KK, there IS a way out.

Register for tournaments in MPV until you have zero balance.

Log out,

Register new card,

Log in & immediately cancel your tournament entries.

Ensure you leave time to complete this before the tournaments are due to start, otherwise you cannot withdraw once under way.

Way out #2

Play the bastard TI slot using "the force" such that your balance reaches zero, but you have the amount "stored" in the slot.

register new card & participate in promos.

Use BONUSES as follows,

Withdraw balance before receiving scratchcard and new cash splash boni,

Use boni to complete force of TI and release value.

Way out #3

Spend ages arguing the toss with their CS, get completely annoyed and vow never to play there again.

Wait a week, and the "right hand" will fix the issue while CS continue to tell you to withdraw your funds.

After a while, you may get a message from "player retention" asking why you have stopped playing.

TELL THEM:D

You forgot one:

Option #4: Request a check for your remaining balance, and at the same time tell them to close your account because they don't know their arse from a hole in the ground.

Not sure KK will go this far, he finds the promos +EV.

As for me, CS have now offered to REIMBURSE the 50 I have already found in my SPORTS account if I show them that it has not returned to Neteller as a "dropped" charge. Twits, this is CARDS, not Neteller, I can easliy show this, as this just does not happen with Neteller, and these fools would probably give me the 50 TWICE!

If they do, I will donate it to charity:D

Hi,
KK, there IS a way out...
Thanks for the suggestions!

As I have just short of 900 in there I don't think I will be risking option #1.

Knocking back TI at 10 spin is one option... I would NEVER do!

So I guess it's #3 for me + set myself a BIG reminder on my PC to not be such a twat next time & withdraw ALL funds from ALL casinos when one of my cards is about to expire.
Honestly, I've fallen into this trap before & I should know better by now!

900

Right,

Toss some into Chiefs Fortune until you have 4 arrows.

Force the rest into TI starting at 10p.

Escalate stake to 20p when offering 250x for the first time,
Escalate to 25p when 20p offers 50 spins and 100x regularly,
Escalate to 50p when again offered 250x at 25p
Finally, escalate to 1 when 50p offers 250x cash

This should deal with most of it.

Any remainder can be fed into Tomb Raider at low stakes trying to build up a stored passport bonus, and if you are able to deposit 50 via UKash you will also qualify for a scratchcard.

When you hit zero, register new card (next day?).

Play Tomb raider for scratchcard (eventually you will unlock the 5th passport).

get 5th arrow at Chiefs Fortune & take feature,

"pop" TI at 1 and get back around 600,

Withdraw.

OR-----

Continue your argument with CS and miss out on the promos.

PS April Cash Splash is STILL not there - was this an April Fool?

KK - I made exactly the same stupid mistake at William Hill... They made it so hard and difficult to make anything happen, I ended up just losing the 2k+... It's one of those really weird situations that seems (half understandably) peculiar to the UK bookmaker operations...

I even got the bank to send them a letter, but no joy.

Strangely I uninstalled WH and have never been back.

You could complain to the regulator that they FORCED you to lose the 2K by insisting you could not withdraw till your balance was zero, and were not able to offer any alternative solution that would offer a way of withdrawing the 2K.

Yeah, you're probably right. I would in future out of principal, but it all seemed like just so much hassle. I even offered to go into a bookies with passport etc blah blah blah - but it was just a next to impossible situation. The thing is, the Customer "Service" people I spoke to clearly had come across this loads of times before, but were less than forthcoming with a solution.
