Lads Cash Splash again... April

Just a heads up to anyone who may not have seen Lads are running this promo again!
Bit silly of them at the start though because the 'bonus week' runs from Monday to Sunday, so it's not actually worth stating until next Monday, April 7th.

I just hope it's as good as March - I had a great result including an unbelieveable number of free-spin triggers on Mega Moolah; The odds of hitting 3 scatters is 1 in 147 spins, but I got it 17 times in 1388 spins = 1 in 81.6 - and that's NOT including 2 re-triggers! (See log of last 3 days below)

My March stats:-
Week 1; Big Break +64
Week 2; Big Break -53
Week 3; Mega Moolah +43
Week 4; Mega Moolah +41
= 95, plus the 280 in bonuses = profit of +375

Well,
I made a big net loss of this Cash splash promotion in March. The weekly bonuses didn't cover my losses on Big Break slot and Ladbrokes didn't even pay the weekly bonuses correctly. First their Customer support said that I don't need to make a new 50 deposit every day but now they refuse to pay the bonus because of that.

Notice that the cash splash promotion is April is for UK residents only so I (and many others) cannot play that.

The April promotion started on 31 March, but this information was not available on the web until 1 April. Very naughty.

What a shame. Thank you for this information since this could easily be missed.

Besides I have still not received the bonus from the last weeks Cash Splash.
Has any of you?
Wow! I didn't notice that it's UK only either - why on earth...?

And yes, I got my last 70 the day after the promo finished (i.e. on Monday). But as is often the case, no e-mail or anything - it just appeared in my balance. That is why it's important to always note how much you have in your 'bank' at the end of each session's play, so you can see if they add anything before you log in again.

Yup! I already do that and it was a good idea. Ladbrokes have forgot crediting my account 5 or 6 times in the last two months. And in one of the cases I was only credited 30 (6 days play) instead of 70 (7 days play) due to a mistake.
Ladbrokes always honour promotions, but you do have to remind them.

Or you could just use Playcheck.

Screwed up CS

I got my Cash Splash, and am in the UK and the new one for April was NOT on the website, even on the evening of April 1st, yet started on Monday supposedly. They are also running the notorious scratchcards again, CS often cock this up, and STILL owe me 5 from the last time.

This has now been overshadowed by a missing 50 deducted from my Neteller but never making it to my Ladbrokes account. This was on Sunday, and it is now Wednesday, and so far I cannot even get those idiots in CS to even ACCEPT THERE IS AN ISSUE, despite me sending a screenshot of my Neteller statement clearly showing the transaction having gone through.

I have escalated this to the rep, but they don't seem to come here very often, so I am not sure how this is going to turn out.

This is not just a one-off, this is CONSTANT COCK-UPS by them, and has been going on for 4 months, with no sign whatsoever that they give a monkey's about addressing these issues.

Why they are accredited here with these poor CS standards defeats me, this should be one of the criteria for accreditation. It is no good having a top brand, good management, etc, if the CS and player experience is so constantly bad.

I will not be bothering in April, as I cannot stomach any more screw-ups with the sheer length of time it takes for their CS to get a grip.

I am correcting that they did pay the remaining bonus today, but it always seems that you have to hassle them to get everything right.

Answer: Calculate the expected value of promotion

I am pretty new to playing casinos and thought that slots are not a good way to go, so how would one determine if the slot promotion is good or not?

You will calculate how much you will need to wager on slots and what the bonus payout will be.

For this promotion:

Wager 50$/€/ on slots every day for one week: 350 credits wager per week
Bonus payout per week: 70 credits

Minimum slot payout to make profit: (350-70)/350 = 80%.

So if the slot you play has at least 80% return, you will make a profit. Microgaming slots are set to pay out 95% of your stakes, so it is easy to see that this is a profitable promotion.

Of course there is a risk that you will get less than 80% payback over the course of the week, but there is also a chance that you will get much more. But on average you will make a profit.

For someone who is 'pretty new' to playing casinos I certainly wouldn't recommend this if you're just interested in the promotion - even though what Jufo says is true, the 95% figure is pushed up by various jackpots and the chance of getting one of the significant ones is bonkers low - if you exclude them then I'd imagine that return would be more likely to be less than 90%. If you then take into account the sheer amount of variability in slots (as compared to roulette, baccarat, blackjack etc) then you will sometimes be looking at quite a bit of a loss. Oh and IMO if you want to find yourself playing to 0, chasing losses etc etc then slots are the way to go. =)

Obviously if you just want to play slots and have some fun with it then forget the above, but check what games are allowed - february was well dodgy and included two slots that were so bad that I didn't even bother with March.

What are the allowed games - can't get onto Ladbrokes at the moment. I'm tempted to have another go, but KK always makes it look so easy - last time I spoke to Ladbrokes CS I actually had an argument (though to be fair they did email and apologise).

Shocked & Jufo's posts are both very valid. Even I would not suggest that Ladbrokes slots promotion (easily the most generous on the net) is a 'dead cert win' by any means.
As these two posters rightly said, the high variance of slots makes the 95% return pretty irrelevant over short term play like this is.
These promos are great for players who would be playing slots anyway without a promotion - this just gives a better chance of winning.

What are the allowed games - can't get onto Ladbrokes at the moment.
This month it's {Edit - thanks Jufo} Mermaids Millions, and the two ones new last month; Gypsy Queen (I quite like this one) and Rainbows End.

If you're looking to play the lowest risk strategy, then in theory Rainbows End should be the best at minimum bets because it has most winlines (25) which should make it the lowest variance of the 3.
In practice of course, anything could happen!

If I remember correctly the third one was Mermaids Millions and not Mega Moolah?
You are quite correct - my silly mistake! :p

I'm about to find out if Ladbrokes CS is as useless as their banking screen - how ridiculous is this:-

My Debit card expired on March 31st, so I just tried to register my new card.
But their system says I must withdraw all my funds first...
Well I tried, but it was refused because my card expired on March 31st... ! :sob: :axeman:

Hi,
Join the club:rolleyes:

Earlier today, I got this from their "left hand":-

Thank you for your e-mail.

I have checked your account and can advise that the payment of 50 made
on the 30th March at 13:30:45 was declined and therefore never went into
your Ladbrokes account, you can check this in the statement section in
the banking section.

However, their "right hand" had FINALLY "smelt the coffee" (well, I did sling it in their face:D ) and I found the missing 50 had been found and placed into my sports account, so I was able to take control of it.
So, problem solved, but no credit whatsoever to those in CS:mad:

KK, your case is yet another example, will this litany of cock-ups NEVER END:mad::mad:

How about MAX "waking up & smelling the coffee" and removing them from the accredited section UNTIL they start to make changes in CS to address these issues that have been ongoing, without remedial action, for 4 MONTHS!

KK, there IS a way out.

Register for tournaments in MPV until you have zero balance.

Log out,

Register new card,

Log in & immediately cancel your tournament entries.

Ensure you leave time to complete this before the tournaments are due to start, otherwise you cannot withdraw once under way.

Way out #2

Play the bastard TI slot using "the force" such that your balance reaches zero, but you have the amount "stored" in the slot.

register new card & participate in promos.

Use BONUSES as follows,

Withdraw balance before receiving scratchcard and new cash splash boni,

Use boni to complete force of TI and release value.

Way out #3

Spend ages arguing the toss with their CS, get completely annoyed and vow never to play there again.

Wait a week, and the "right hand" will fix the issue while CS continue to tell you to withdraw your funds.

After a while, you may get a message from "player retention" asking why you have stopped playing.

TELL THEM:D

You forgot one:

Option #4: Request a check for your remaining balance, and at the same time tell them to close your account because they don't know their arse from a hole in the ground.

Not sure KK will go this far, he finds the promos +EV.

As for me, CS have now offered to REIMBURSE the 50 I have already found in my SPORTS account if I show them that it has not returned to Neteller as a "dropped" charge. Twits, this is CARDS, not Neteller, I can easliy show this, as this just does not happen with Neteller, and these fools would probably give me the 50 TWICE!

If they do, I will donate it to charity:D

Hi,
KK, there IS a way out...
Thanks for the suggestions!

As I have just short of 900 in there I don't think I will be risking option #1.

Knocking back TI at 10 spin is one option... I would NEVER do!

So I guess it's #3 for me + set myself a BIG reminder on my PC to not be such a twat next time & withdraw ALL funds from ALL casinos when one of my cards is about to expire.
Honestly, I've fallen into this trap before & I should know better by now! :o

900

Right,

Toss some into Chiefs Fortune until you have 4 arrows.

Force the rest into TI starting at 10p.

Escalate stake to 20p when offering 250x for the first time,
Escalate to 25p when 20p offers 50 spins and 100x regularly,
Escalate to 50p when again offered 250x at 25p
Finally, escalate to 1 when 50p offers 250x cash

This should deal with most of it.

Any remainder can be fed into Tomb Raider at low stakes trying to build up a stored passport bonus, and if you are able to deposit 50 via UKash you will also qualify for a scratchcard.

When you hit zero, register new card (next day?).

Play Tomb raider for scratchcard (eventually you will unlock the 5th passport).

get 5th arrow at Chiefs Fortune & take feature,

"pop" TI at 1 and get back around 600,

Withdraw.

OR-----

Continue your argument with CS and miss out on the promos.

PS April Cash Splash is STILL not there - was this an April Fool?

KK - I made exactly the same stupid mistake at William Hill... They made it so hard and difficult to make anything happen, I ended up just losing the 2k+... It's one of those really weird situations that seems (half understandably) peculiar to the UK bookmaker operations...

I even got the bank to send them a letter, but no joy.

Strangely I uninstalled WH and have never been back.

You could complain to the regulator that they FORCED you to lose the 2K by insisting you could not withdraw till your balance was zero, and were not able to offer any alternative solution that would offer a way of withdrawing the 2K.

Yeah, you're probably right. I would in future out of principal, but it all seemed like just so much hassle. I even offered to go into a bookies with passport etc blah blah blah - but it was just a next to impossible situation. The thing is, the Customer "Service" people I spoke to clearly had come across this loads of times before, but were less than forthcoming with a solution.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but what about depositing a further (small) amount with a different payment method (Neteller, Moneybookers etc), withdrawing to that (for many bookies / casinos, the deposit seems to prove to them that the wallet a/c is not dodgy) then going to somewhere where they don't charge you (such as Betfair) and deposit / withdrawing from there?

I don't know if that was an April fool - but I could be!

In a fit of peak, brought on by too much lager & the sudden onset of insanity I decided to actually try your crazy option 1!

Chiefs Fortune: Holy shit what a slot!!! Tried it in fun mode first to see what the feature actually did. Scary! Could win a small fortune, or a small dog turd.
Went ahead anyway 3/spin :eek2: It took 160 spins & 252 to get 4 arrows - that 5th one better turn up soon.

Torture Iceland: This b'stard already 'owed me' 100+ but seemed totally dead, so I jumped straight in hitting it with 2 & 5 spins. I haven't seen any x250 yet, but have been offered 30 win spins @ 5 so it's definitely hotting up!
So far (since starting this particular attack) 300+ invested.
My dilemma is what stakes to go for; 1, 2 or 5...? Do you think 30 spins x 5 would pay more than 500?
I really don't want to pump much more in.

Tomb Raper: I had already been playing this @ 5 - 20p per line earlier, just to make sure it's really shit - and it is. But I had got 3 passports already & it only took 5 more 6 spins to get the 4th one.

My plan for the rest of the money was to invest in some sporting bets to zero my account - but due to getting up too late yesterday & having to rush out to play golf, this went all banana shaped!
Before I rushed out, I put 40 on Portsmouth to win & 5/6... ;)
And bet on these nags in the National...
D'Argent 10 e/w
Chelsea Harbour 10 e/w
Comply or Die 20 e/w @ 10/1 :yahoo:

By the time I got back from golf I was too late to invest the rest on my balance on Saturday's footy, so started looking at Sunday's. But would you Adam & Eve it, because every man & his dog was evidently on Ladbrokes trying to bet on the big race, the site was running slower than a slug with rabies and kept 'crashing'. Hence I couldn't get the bets on before the Grand National started.

The net result of that was I ended up with 243 more to lay in low-risk bets!

I wont go into too much detail, but as long as Man U & Everton don't lose today I shall be fairly happy. If they both win I will be very happy! :drink:

But if those slots don't pay back, I'm never talking to VWM again! :p

(Will report back later - if not hiding in a corner with tail between legs...)

Ok here we go

Ok KK seeing as its you i will explain how you get out of your situation i know it works as have done it before put all your cash into the poker account then send an email to highhand saying you wish to transfer your poker balance to your chosen person include your user name as well. The person that your sending to then sends an email to them saying the are going to recieve it from you and the amount that you are sending the amounts must match or they wont transfer. Your friend then holds the funds till you re register then send thems back the same way. All done above board and no risk other than your friend runs off with the cash. If you cant trust a friend get your wife/gf to open up an account and do the same thing.

Better you trust a friend.........:D

Look on the bright side.

{In a low steady voice, trying to sound entirely calm...}
I just found out that having 'unsettled bets' does not constitute a zero account balance...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!

Look on the bright side, IT'S SPRING

The days are getting longer, the daffs are out, the fruit trees are in blossom, the sun is warmer, the breezes gentler,

so,

Just get up, yank back those curtains, and take in that refreshing springlike vista:rolleyes:

Can anyone clarify the deposit requirements for the April Cash Splash.
In the terms and conditions it seems very vague,is it deposit 50 a day or week, I know you need to turn over 50 a day.Pretty sure I have recieved the bonus without depositing 50 a day on previous splashes

KK - I decided to play that Chiefs one until I hit the feature four times.

I ended up about 30 up after the whole thing.

Feature seems to come in every hundred spins or so and pays between 80 - 240... I guess there'll be the occasional bigger hit too with the whole indian malarkey.

In a fit of peak, brought on by too much lager & the sudden onset of insanity I decided to actually try your crazy option 1!

I'm sure you're all just dying to know how it all turned out!
No? Well here goes anyway! ;)

Well luckily it did turn up after just 25 more spins, and the feature paid 210.
(That was pretty good, going by Slotsters results).
But that would have been a loss if not for hitting 3 double bars twice (60 each) during those spins.
Nett result: Wagered 555, Won +42

Tomb Raper: I had already been playing this @ 5 - 20p per line earlier, just to make sure it's really shit - and it is. But I had got 3 passports already & it only took 5 more 6 spins to get the 4th one.
It only took 18 more spins to get the 5th passport.
I was expecting to get jack off the feature, but it wasn't too bad considering I found 2 traps in the 2nd location.
I can't give profit / loss figures for this as I didn't record the play before I started this daft experiment. :o
(I think it was probably quite a large loss though).

Well I did have to pump more in - LOADS more!
Altogether I wasted 608 :eek2: on this heap of crap before it finally popped on a 1 spin.
It gave me just 6 repeats; 5 @ 1 & 1 @ 2
I did play on about another 30 just to make sure it was dead - and it sure was!
Overall waste; -101

Old Attachment (Invalid)

The only good thing is now I never have to play that steaming lump of rigged manure again!

Thanks to the Portsmouth win & Man U draw, my footy bets ended up just about even.
(If Man U had won I would have made about 50 profit)

Also thanks to Comply or Die I made 210 on the gee-gees.

At the end of all this messing about (plus some other slots dabbling in between) I finished up about 100 down from my start point...
But I just got that back today! :D

Anyone still doing these Cash Splashes? I thought I will try again with better luck after having net loss in March.

The Ladbrokes June cash splash games are: Bingo Bango Boom slot, Starscape slot and Pollen Nation slot. Any suggestion which one of these is the "juiciest" game to play?

Just finished May-but I only played weeks 3 & 4;
On the first day I started with Double O'Cash and had a bit of a feature-fest! Wagered 70 and made 64 profit.
Days 2 - 5 I played Sure Win - and lost 32 total
Day 6 = Stallionair +7
Day 7 = Double O'Cash +3

So at the end of my first week; Slots profit +42, Bonus 70 = 112 total.

But it was all downhill from there as my second week was disaterous... :(
I played Double O'Cash every day, expecting to get lots of features like before - but they never came
With each successive day I got more frustrated, bet higher and wagered way more that the minimum required.
(VERY stupid, I know, I know!)
Day 1; I won 11 free-spins which paid a pathetic Bet x 6
Day 3; I hit 4 motorbikes for 50 off a 1.20 spin. But that was my only profitable day all week!
After day one I went 316 high-rolling spins without getting 1 single feature :axeman:
Ended this week -85 on the slot + 70 Bonus = -15

If I had hindsight as foresight I would have stopped after the first week...
Anyway, result for the month +97 profit, so I can't really complain.

As for June's games... well that's a toughie. I've never even heard of, let alone played Bingo Bongo. Starscape - played it a bit; the feature is similar to Dyno Might = can win almost nothing. Pollen Nation is in my top five... of MG's most awful slots - so I doubt I will play that much!

I missed the first week this month (again!), so we'll have to wait until next week & see...

The Cash Splash games for July are Days of the Tsar, Isis and Bush Telegraph. Which of these is lowest variance? Probably not Isis :p
Definitely NOT Isis!
Don't think I've played Tsar jet...
Bush Telegraph would be my choice - pretty low variance.

I did great with StarScape in June!
Made 131 just from playing the slot + 210 in bonuses. (Only played 3 weeks).

However, many here will be glad to hear my amazing run on the scratchcards ran out in June & I did not get even 1 over 10. That & having to play high-variance progressive slots lead to an overall loss of 230... :(

PS: I hope you don't mind, but rather than keep bumping this old April thread I'm copying this post into a new thread for the July promotions for all who want to discuss them.
