ok first there was the family who pulled that stunt where they said the kid was stuck in their balloon to try to promote their reality show. Then there were the ones who crashed the white house to try to get on a reality show or pose for Playboy. Then there was the chick who faked that she had cancer. And now the woman who got acid splashed in her face admits that she did it herself.

What the **** is wrong with people? Is everyone so bloody desperate for attention? The first two....well, people who want to be on a reality show I find pretty pathetic anyhow, but that's just me. I know some people like that stuff but I personally would rather stick hot pokers in my eyes. But the last two really piss me off.

I just read that yesterday about the acid lady, I was shocked why in the world would she do that to herself, shocking what people do for attention, I would never want any attention like that, I would want to be recognized for something I did good in life not something so stupid. Personally I think that IS the problem ....these GD reality shows....I cant even remember WHAT was first....but it must have gotten good ratings and since then every station has" force fed" us some sort of BS every year ...
This year one of the ones I have seen commercials for is JR. vs SR. on that God forsaken "American Chopper " .
I could give a rats ass WTF those idiots are up too ...

Hell a camera crew could follow any one of us to work and come up with more interesting stuff than those two Bozo's fighting over who can Build what ......

THEN there is the idiot that gets dumped out in the wilderness to survive ...this one at first was okay , I thought ... at least you might learn who to maybe survive if you somehow got stuck in the dessert but THEN I heard the rumor that he and his crew had accommodations each night and they didn't actually stay all night each night in the places they were ... WTF

If people quit watching this Crap then the ratings will go down and they wont put it on anymore ...
And YES it Has made people try to seek out attention with alteriative motives in mind and , as we have seen ,apparently some people will go to great lengths to achieve any kind of notoriety... as shameless as it may be .

Amen! And it was MTV that started this stupid trend with their Real Life or Real World or whatever it was called. I don't watch reality shows at all and the cool thing is that now when I'm waiting in line in the supermarket and all the tabloids have these 'celebrities' I don't even know who half of them are!

Last time we went, there was one magazine who had some young girl with a baby and it said "Teen mom blah blah" and right beside it was another magazine with a different girl with a baby and it said "Teen mom something else" and I was like, "What's with all these young girls and kids and why are they on the magazines?" and the cashier told me, "oh it's a new reality show called TEEN MOM." There's an easy show for any preteen girl to get on, you don't have to risk death or cause a big media frenzy. All you gotta do is get knocked up. How much you wanna bet there's a whole pile of young girls ending up pregnant in the next year just for a chance to be on that stupid show?

Don't be knocking man VS wild with Bear Grylls- i know what you mean about the crew getting pampered while they are doing shooting etc, I watched an article on it.

but, one thing i have to say is recently he did a show in MY HOME TOWN in the Northern Territory or Australia.

he did it at a place called Kakadu which is dense bushlland and infested with saltwater crocodiles. In one of the shoots the mad bastard is in a boat he made himself out of tree bark and logs, he was fishing in infested waters with crocodiles as big as 16-18foot.

There was one part where he catches a fish (barramundi) and as he is bringing it in a bloody saltwater croc comes out of the water and grabs the fish from the line right next to his boat that is half hanging in the water- NOW THAT SHIT YOU CANNOT MAKE UP.. the man was scared as hell and you could see it.

Other than that I dont watch to much tv now days as it upsets me, not to mention the Justion Beibers that flood the airways now days- they are built solely for the purpose of making money, they cant play instruments or write there own music. The only thing they have going for them is looks and that now days seems to get you a long way and all it is doing is dumbing us down as a society and its crap.

What about the creedance clear waters, the led zepplins etc- that was true raw musical talent right there and you wont see bands like that again sorry to say.
