I decided to see how many throws I had for the Jackpot Factory VIP promotion "lucky 7".

I had 40 throws, so I played them to see how many were winners.

You have a pair of dice, and have to throw a 7 to win, all other numbers don't count for anything.

Guess how many times I threw 7 out of 40 throws?

Yes I agree.. I think this is just plain stupid and a waste of time..

copy/paste/roll, copy/paste/roll, copy/paste/roll....

out of 47 rolls, not one 7... a bit strange since you would say there is enough possible combinations to roll a 7 with two dices..

The odds of rolling a 7 are 1in 6
The odds of not rolling a 7 in 40 rolls are actually not that huge but it sounds like a pretty frustrating experience.
Now go and play their craps and see how often you roll a 7 after you have made the point :p

This is starting to look suspicious, like the English Harbour VP. The probability of no 7's in 40 rolls is about 1 in 1500, no 7's in 47 rolls is about 1 in 5000. It would be useful to hear about other people's experiences.

That sure sucks Vinyl :eek2:

I've had 10 rolls and have won the sevens twice, hope you have better luck next time.

It is beginning to look VERY suspicious now. TWO separate players have had a long sequence of rolls without a single 7. Given that 7 is the most likely outcome from a pair of dice, having 40 rolls with no 7 is VERY unlucky, but to repeat that kind of run is beginning to look positively RIGGED.

Perhaps it is just "eye candy", with it already having been determined which players are going to win what total of bonus chips. Given that one roll is given for 1000 credits wagered on slots, this low level of wins is extremely disappointing. Jackpot Factory promos are not usually THIS bad, and the accompanying scoreboard one is at least down to wagering - I am pretty high up this week, but don't expect to remain there.

That's was my thought also, and I think if this is the case they should have made it a different promo.. It would have been easier to just say "roll all" and then just get the results. Re-entering your accountnumber and rolling over and over again with no result what so ever is really dissapointing.

Love to hear more experiences if availible

Before throwing the dice, were most of your slots play on LOADED:D:D

No didn't play that one.

I thought I would have a go at one week of their "bonus trek" promo, but played far more slots than I would normally do where all games score equally, so was really miffed that Munchkins was utterly dire, and gave me far too many "stars" on the scoreboard for "100 credits won or lost"

Still,

THIS WILL TEACH THOSE TIGHTWADS:p

Very nice wins Vinyl.... CASH OUT !!!! Tell them that is for all your 000000's you got in the lucky 7 promo. They do not treat their VIP's very well at all. I was rather shocked to say the least. I finally got an Enigma bonus and it was a whopper>>>>>15.00<<<<<< hehe. Hell, you can't even make a deposit that low.

I am 0/15 and ain't even trying anymore. Don't believe there are too many 7's being hit. I know someone who has had wayyyy more rolls than I and never hit 1 yet.

But on a high note, all the bitching I did regarding the "Sky is the Limit", they finally raised it last week and made it higher for ALL winners. I didn't try, but I liked to see they were finally holding to their word about something.

I BEEN THERE

After that RF, that was when I got clobbered by Munchkins, however, the VP machines (4 - UP) have been really HOT!

This is just a sample, I have mostly been playing the Double Double Bonus machine, and it was giving 4OK from PAIRS!! I then had a PAT 4 Kings (1000 credits), and later on was dealt PAT 4x3 - paid 2000 credits because I paired one up with another low card.
I then found the Deuces Wild firing off those wild Royals, including the pat dealt one above, I then had a go at Bonus Deuces wild, and got a ANOTHER Pat Deuces Royal (only pays 125 though, not 225), I then drew 3 more deuces after holding one, and missed that (top row), but got another 1000.

Even the slots are loosening up a little, even got Munchkins to give a bonus round after less than 600 spins (at last).

Overall 4100 in, and my balance is now over 10K, and the only thing that has stopped me cashing out is the 10% VIP bonus I get tomorrow (410), and I will play that out to maximise my score (without losing that 10K back again, however tempting it might be to do 67.50 Munchkins spins), and the number of losing dice rolls I can "brag" about. It is going to look even MORE suspicious if I get another 40 without a single 7 - what odds would that be?

EDIT -

Still hot:D

I have now cashed out 9K - which was my target figure, and puts my Credit card around 300 in credit (this can be dodgy, but this card does not seem bothered, although something has happened with it recently that makes me wary, and it's BLOODY LEGAL here:mad:).

Got it flushed, and even got congratulated for my biggest win (single payout) of the week - no 5000 loyalty points though, this was normally given in recognition of a big payout.

Makes me wonder if those dice ARE rigged, and this winning spree will ensure I will NEVER roll a 7 - we will see, I must have another boatload of rolls to try out, and the results should come closer to the odds if the game is indeed fair.

EDIT.

I had a further 21 rolls of the dice, out of which I got ZERO "7"s yet again.

I have now had a total of 62 consecutive rolls without throwing a 7 - I noticed that I had an extraordinary number of 6s and 5s though, the stats are now getting more significant that this is a RIGGED pair of dice, and is hardly something that the Jackpot Factory should have ever become involved with, given the long standing suspicion that many online casino games themselves are rigged.

David Brickman had better come up with an explanation that supports the theory that this promo is NOT rigged, and that 62 consecutive failed rolls is within the normal expectation for this sample size.

EDIT2 - more research.

How often can you roll a pair of dice 28 times without getting a 7? How do you figure this?

I take it you mean what is the probability of rolling a pair of dice 28 times without getting a 7. The probability of not rolling a 7 on any one roll is 5/6. The probability of not rolling a 7 in 28 rolls is (5/6)28 = 0.006066, or about 1 in 165.

This from the "ask the wizard" archive on wizardofodds.com, and is from 2000.

THis gives a simple formula for the probability of NOT throwing a "7" in a given number of rolls.

Substituting my 62 for the 28 in the example, we get (5/6)**62

Which is - 0.000012324 or 1 in 81140 - HIGHLY suspicious. Rigged promo, looking more and more likely as I win more dice throws.

The probability of no 7's in 62 rolls is about 1/80000, in 67 rolls about 1/200000. I think JF had better own up that the dice are rigged. I assume you have not recorded the dice rolls, so there is no way of finding out exactly how they are rigged.

It's a simple javascript that's being loaded every time you roll the dice. I imagine the script has just two possible come outs.. Either you roll a 7 or not (and any other number rolls out).

I think the expected rolls with a 7 as outcome is predetermined in total and not per player. Something along the lines of: the script will roll a 7 two times in a 100 rolls, it's only random when those two times are. It could be the you roll two times and get two sevens, but it could also be that you roll 98 times without winning..

One thing I think is sure, those are not two real dice.. :)

Previously, JF have assured me that these promos are FAIR when I have questioned the low number of times I have won something which seems at odds with expectation.

I previously questioned something odd about the random VIP bonuses, now called Enigma. At first, I won around every 2 weeks, but now it is a couple of times a year! They explained this by saying that it was down to an increased pool of entrants (active VIP players in the week), which was credible, since it seems that EVERYONE ends up in their VIP lounge after a period of loyal and active membership, probably not as quickly as I did though, with my huge deposits and action in winning event after event.

Now these dice, I get a 1 in 80000 run, and another player gets a 1 in 200000 bad run. These are not just bad runs, they are off the scale because they included ZERO wins, not even a depressed number. This looks like some players have a block placed on them for certain promotions, and can never win however many goes they win. This supports my own theory that I have been "blocked" from the lucky draw Monday bonus, and am not getting entered into the draw most weeks, even though I qualify under the rules ( a certain amount deposited and played).

JF have run other promos represented by dice, are these rigged also? Do they CHOOSE the winners of these, rather than it being down to a random draw process as advertised.

Just read question. I feel that is odd as well because I play craps alot and I often hit the number 7. For you to get zero in 40 throws is very suspicious to me

It was 62 throws and no 7. I earned some more. I am not the only player to report such an unusual run, so there are clear grounds for suspicion.

Perhaps JF could let us have this same pair of dice on their Craps table:rolleyes:
