The thing that gets my wick is that anybody can say anything about their own race / colour but as soon as anybody else is involved it is instantly racist..

Rappers are a prime example with the liberal use of N**** which if anyone else said it would be in a lot of trouble..

As for the gender argument . if somebody can identify as non gender / binary or whatever new saying is around , then I am going to identify as either a 15 year old or 65 year old man , instead of middle aged , so then I don’t have to pay tax.

How can people identify as a different gender , but if I want to be identified as a different age I will be laughed at, arrested for being a paedo , or done for tax evasion..

If anybody questions this I will be deeply offended and will have to take further action

Here's one Top Gear got into trouble for a couple of years ago. Now a middle aged bloke and I swear I'd NEVER realized that 'slope' had that definition! I never realized what the furore was all about until the BBC news the next day.

(Background - on one of their international jaunts the Top Gear team had been tasked with 'building a bridge over the river Kwai', referring to the classic war film of the same name where Allied POWs were used as forced labour to build the Japs one.)

Of course they got away with it as it couldn't be proven they weren't referring to the angle of their construction, as opposed to the local Burmese chap walking across it.

Then the Americans call us 'Limeys' after the Royal Navy gave their sailors limes to eat to prevent scurvy (was originally 'limesuckers'). let's put aside that faily nearly every person that fought during WW2 is dead (or near to) its a safe bet today's great proportion of racicts arent from that war (becuase we were talking about two terms from that era)

I remember being a kid and having a friend who lived down the street who was from Pakistan and we called him a paki and so did all the families. It was just short form when they wanted to take a short cut to explain who they were. Well, agreed, words have power....mostly it's the emotion and intent imbued into the word (or history of usage).
However, there are still some words, that simply saying, well "I" dont see it as offensive, doesnt make it any less offensive, or "I" didnt mean it offensively doesnt mitigate the offensiveness of it.
I'm fairly left leaning. And believe there's a great many instances I roll my eyes and go oh, FFS thats just TOO much.

No, we can't unwrite history and no we can't cure or mandate human idiosyncrasies. We can however, educate a population, and moreso a younger generation to recognize people are people, borders are (mostly) arbitrary constructs and no one race or colour is inherently better or worse . I sure as fuck don't want to sit around and sing Kumbaya. I also dont want aother generation of bigots and racists who we should excuse, because, it's just their funny little way.
