I won playing blackjack, Mansion only sent my deposit back and kept my winnings, But I read the terms and conditions before I started play, when the live chat agent sent me the link. they said:

"When playing with a deposit bonus in your account, if you bet more than 10% of the amount you deposited in a single bet or round on any table or card game or any other game (other than videopoker or slots), your bonus and winnings may be voided."

I bet $20, my deposit was $200(that is 10% of my deposit or less) Everyone who plays blackjack splits and doubles, it's the normal play of the game, Not like in other games where the double option is rarely used. So they should make their terms and conditions clearer for blackjack, to make sure people know they can only bet 2.5% of their deposit (nobody bets like that) if they want to play blackjack normally and split and double as normal.

How do people feel about this? I feel unfairly treated.

I am sorry to say but yes I think casino is correct and you have not been treated unfairly.

Most casinos take into account the doubling and splitting etc. on Blackjack if they allow play on it.

If you deposited $200 and were playing $20 hands and doubling on Blackjack then just about every casino would void the win as well.

If you look through all the terms of the casino theres probably a mention of blackjack rules in there somewhere.

But the casino seems to have acted fair and at least returned your deposit as the bets you placed on Blackjack exceeded the max clearly stated in terms.

Thanks, I guess. I don't think its clearly stated, I feel like many people would interpret the max available to bet is $20 as I did.

I guess my reading comprehension isn't good enough. I will avoid bonuses and pushy live chat in the future.

Hi Alina and welcome to CasinoMeister :D

Sorry to hear that Mansion confiscated your winnings but it is in their T&C's and they can enforce those whenever they want, no matter if they are fair or not.

1st rule when playing with a bonus is to read ALL T&C's very carefully and when in doubt ask CS before you start playing. This will avoid any disappointment should you make it to a withdrawal.

When you start playing with a bonus you fully agreed to the T&C's, hence you are bound by them no matter how unfair they are. Virtually any casino adds splits and double-ups to the original bet, hence you can easily go past the 10% rule (some have up to 30%).

Also Mansion Casino has not the best reputation, check out the accredited casino section on this forum and you will find much better places to deposit your money as you can then rely on CM's help should you have a dispute with one of those casinos.

EDIT: paul beat me to it, most of my text repeats his statements, sorry, was typing at the same time :)

Ok, I guess I was wrong, I will stop playing at mansion anyway. I have a account with BET365 they gave me VIP status and treat me nicely :)

You live in Bangkok Harry? I was there a few months ago for a holiday. I live nearby in Taipei, Taiwan. What games do you play? Most of my family and friends only play mahjong or scratch cards.
I studied in the US, learnt to play blackjack and poker there :) much better games.

BET365 is certainly much better than the Mansion Group.

Yes, i do live in Bangkok since 2013. :)

Holiday in Bangkok - only Bangkok? Reason i am asking is that when i have visitors i finish the tourist tour in less than 2 days and then Bangkok can get a little boring if you are not only into bars, girls, drinking or shopping. But then that is maybe only me as i have been coming to BKK for 20 years and seen, done and experienced it all, so i rather venture outside BKK as Thailand is much more than just the party and shopping districts of Bangkok. :)

Been many times to Taiwan, just not the past 10 years. Was in my earlier job, my time was mostly spent in Huatan Shiang, Chnghua Hsien and Taishan Shiang, Taipei. In Taipei i would always stay at the Crown Plaza Hotel :) I still remember fondly walking in awe through Taipei 101. That superhuge pendulum to alleviate the effect of earthquakes still impresses me today.

EDIT: I am a 98% slot player, blackjack occasionally, at poker i am not good enough. ;)

I made the bookings for my friends and I, I made a mistake and we couldn't visit phuket, Before we went to singapore for 9 days.
We didn't enjoy singapore, Mostly because it was a expensive taipei city :) So we traveled to Malaysia.

2 year holiday sounds good, I'm still studying so my holidays are very short. :(

Why choosing the most crowded places in Thailand?  There are plenty nicer, less crowded and more relaxed places with pristine beaches where you don't smell the sun lotion from miles away. :D Try Koh Lanta, Koh Ngai, Koh Tarutao or Koh Lipe if you want to be in the Andaman Sea

I lived in Singapore as well for 4.5 years and mostly enjoyed it. However, i moved to Bangkok because of the rising prices, it got to a stage were they became atrociously high.

Next time you go to Malaysia visit Tioman or Redang Island if you are into snorkeling and diving :)

I am not on holiday in BKK, i live and work here as a freelance agent....some call it indeed permanent holidays :p :)

Trust me, your holidays will get even shorter when you start working :D

I understand the letter of the rule but feel you have not been treated fairly. BJ is a game of doubling and splitting and this kind of interpretation is absurd for BJ. Sorry I seem to be in minority, but I think it's absurd. Casinos are not supposed to try to trick players and this is the case here. If BJ were not allowed at all, would be something else. Returning the deposit is hardly fair because they would not have returned the deposit had you lost, which is by far the greater likelihood.

Thanks for the pointers on Bangkok :) Im heading out your way early 2016. Lucky to be able to work and travel which I intend to do :) along with no gambling ha! Not going to hang around much in Bangkok seems like so much more to see. And the bars / girls etc although fun to see would I presume get rote after a while. Cant wait to get out there though

Happy to help Deeplay... Thailand is great for holidays and caters for everybody, from the backpacker to the 5* treatment. just depends what you expect and want from the days you spend here :)

PM me any time if you need any further info :)

I don't feel treated fairly, But it seems it was my fault. either way Im not going back to mansion. They offered me a bonus if I come back, I thought that was funny.

Some sites let you have a bit more room when playing cards due to the the splitting etc, But there will still be a max bet, Even if it states you can bet 30% of deposit / bonus there will be a small print that states max bet x amount,

Take note that Mansion group is also another group that only give you so many lines on free spins, But the worst is they have a max cash out of x6 the deposit amount when taking a bonus, So even if deposit 100 and get a 20% bonus than max withdraw will be 600,

Response from MansionCasino.com

Dear Alina,

Thank you for your patience while we looked into the matter.

We have decided to investigate your case again and sought to deal with it fairly and in accordance with our terms and conditions.

As already communicated to you, our General Promotion Terms and Conditions expressly state that:

"When playing with a deposit bonus in your account, if you bet more than 10% of the amount you deposited in a single bet or round on any table or card game or any other game (other than videopoker or slots), your bonus and winnings may be voided. "

It is normally a customer’s responsibility to review terms and conditions of any associated promotions we offer and to familiarise themselves with the rules, this means that when they approach certain games they should double check their bet placement prior to placing any bets.

The bets that you placed did exceed the maximum limit and therefore, according to the terms, we were entitled to void your winnings.

However, upon review we do believe that your gameplay was genuine with no intent to take advantage of the promotion; subsequently we have decided that as a gesture of goodwill we will refund your winnings of the total amount of $1,400.

They have been credited in your casino account.

Please be advised that, should any violation of our terms occur again, no refund will be issued.

We hope you are satisfied with the outcome of the process.

Regards,

Mansion Casino
