Question Is it normal for online casinos to delay large withdrawals?

Sometimes online casinos can be good, and they can be bad.
It depends on things like their license, name, and what players say.
A few days ago I watched a YouTube video about a man who won about a hundred thousand dollars.
He asked to take his money, but the casino said they could not pay all of it.
They told him they would pay $10K each time which I think it's a scam technique.
Has anyone here faced the same problem?

It is not normal to us in the UK as this is one of the few jurisdictions, possibly the only one, where drip-feeding big wins isn't permitted, including most jackpots.

It is normal though in many locations which aren't as stringently regulated or they haven't bothered to address this problem. Years ago it was commonplace, and even worse than your example, with people winning tens of thousands and finding the casino had ludicrous withdrawal limits of say, $1000 a day or $5,000 a month.

Naturally this is done to leave the player open to temptation and lose the money back again as they know for sure that 99% of players won't have the discipline to leave the 100k and follow the withdrawal plan over many months without losing it back again.

So you're right, it is scammy and if it isn't it could be because the casino doesn't have the cash flow to pay it at once, another reason for the player to worry.

The biggest scandal in Casinomeister history was a colossal version of the scam you mention in your OP: read it and weep!
