I spend a lot of time online always doing something. Playing poker, casinos, paying bills, e-mailing, buying things, managing money, trading stocks, contributing to poker forums, and also try to contribute here.

I visit this forum sometimes several times in a day. Is it just me or does there seem to be nothing but complaints and or problems one after the other the last couple of months here? I know this is the place to come when players have problems and are fortunate enough to even find CM. But overall it seems to be a small family when compared to the total number of players actually online playing.

I wonder what this whole online casino thing would look like if every and only legitimate complaints through out the internet were listed in one place.

Poker forums usually consist of 95% bullshit, and very little complaints about getting paid. Most of the poker rogues are gone or get noticed rather quickly. But it seems online casinos are good today, bad tomorrow. Just hope you werent there the day it went bad.

I know the safest place to play online of course is the accredited casinos. I also understand being online does present certain challengers. (Fraud, etc.)
But it seems that many of even the good casinos have been getting their share of legitimate complaints.

Is it just me; or does what I say make any sense to anyone else here?

I agree

Dear 4 of a kind.

Partly I agree with you. But the important thing here is that there is a vital discussion about casinos behaviour against online gamblers.

And the discussion could be more constructive I think.

For a start, there is a thread about casinos that pay fast. If we can line those casinos up, we all as customers can choose them to play at, and I can assure that there will be less complaints in the future.

If we refuse to play at casinos that take days and days to pay us the winnings, they have no gamblers, and either they have to change their pay out procedure or close down.

If we stop gamble at rouge casinos as well and take advantage of the investigation Casino Meister does, there will be even less complaints.

Even the accredited casinos have to be watched. It's it not ok if they have delayed payments, and if they have, I as a gambler have the right to know why, and even should have a compensation. That is how good business works.
I have to accept terms and conditions, long as novels and these terms should work both ways.

So, the conclusion is : let us be more constructive, but yell when they treat us wrong.

Well put L'arsenne, and yes I do understand this site is pretty much a watchdog situation. Maybe we need a heading here like "Online Casinos Good News Only" for cranky old guys like myself.

i see what you are saying. it can be disheartening when you see so many negative things, but in my experience, it doesn't seem to be that much different than before. there will always be bad things that pop up, but i also always keep in mind that a lot of positive things pop up on these threads too.

when i first started visiting casinomeister a while back, i at first thought there were so many problems and that there were just a bunch of affiliates just trying to make money. i was obviously very wrong as i learned over the years that the people on this site contributed a lot to make online gaming safer and to create a community to back each other up.

As for problems with even the accredited casinos, i don't think i've seen too much of that since any issues usually are handled quite quickly and efficiently. That is why i am always happy to see more "accredited" casinos here. Most of the problems that drag on that i've read about are casinos that are NOT accredited here.

An important issue you did bring up is the fact that not all players are aware of forums like this. There are obviously many casinos that rely on this fact and their aim is to rip off as many people as possible. But the casinos that are determined to be around a while usualy have a presence on these boards.

It's obvious that if we all just played at accredited casinos, there would be a lot less complaints, but sometimes the places we play at just don't make the effort to be accredited ( i too have been guilty of playing non-accredited casinos....though i don't anymore.)

As an example, i was happy to see two rival casinos temporarily accredited. I would think that more people would switch to these two if they wanted to play at a rival. In turn, in the future, there will probably be less complaints about rival casinos IF more people play at the accredited ones. I think it's all about rewarding casinos with more players and business IF they show a commitment to their players by becoming accredited.

In closing, i do share your feelings about what a bummer it is to see all this negative stuff all the time because we would really hope that things would be better than this. But i know i always enjoy reading about good experiences and love to hear stories about how a casino treated a player very well. Just wish there were more of these stories to read....;)

i actually found this forum when looking for winning slot screenshots so i came here on a positive note :D

but yes there seems to be a lot more issues with non payments and delaying tactics to what you see on a poker forum
tho i think its a different business model overall
pokersites try to keep you playing. a happy longer player = more rake
casinos seem to have the , empty your wallet come back if you want to ideal

and agree larsene too , the more info we have even if its the smallest issue increases our choices and of course a chance to use our money wisely and hopefully steer clear of places that are just there to gouge you and never want your custom again

I agree a lot of stress around here sometimes but the good news thread sounds like a positive thing for this site. Casino complaints seem to wind up in the Online Casino thread, maybe that's ok, don't know the rules on Online Casinos thread vs. Online Casino complaints. Although if I had a complaint I'd go to the complaints thread. It's still a good board. :)

After a while you just skim over a lot of threads and jsut read the ones of interest to you.

I totally understand what you're saying 4-of-a-Kind...I think it's just the nature of the beast.

I mean, I post on so many forums that it's tempting (for me) to use the CM forum only when I have a problem or when I want to complain about something. It's a time-allocation issue, in some respects. I imagine a lot of other posters are in the same frame of mind.

This is not necessarily a negative thing, I don't think. It might just appear that way. All the complaints, and discussion back and forth, serves a positive purpose.

However, I am going to make an effort to contribute more to threads that wouldn't normally interest me - if I can add value to that thread or answer someone's question.

And, as luck would have it, I'm about to make a glowing report on Millionaire Casino (and affiliated partner casinos) for their customer service and overall standard of operations.

I agree that when casinos perform ethically or provide great CS, we should all make more of an effort to 'reward' them for that by posting about it - rather than just posting negative reports when we've been screwed over or otherwise mistreated.

------

Hate to finish on *slightly* negative note...but of all the online casinos I've played at recently, I have SERIOUSLY bad experiences with every one - EXCEPT for 32Red (which everyone seems to rave about - wtg 32Red) who were great and Millionaire Casino (and their 5 partner casinos - I consider them all the same, I think), who have also been great.

And I lost 5k (or 20k? - I can't remember) at 32Red and have lost (I *think* 60k at Millionaire and their 5 partner casinos without ever cashing out once) - so when I say they're doing a great job, I really mean it. I genuinely feel valued at Millionaire with their VIP Rewards system and when talking to CS staff on Live Chat.

That's almost a first for me - a unique feeling I'd only felt previously when chatting with Mark (the great VIP manager at 32Red).
