Hello-

Does anyone have any insight, info, lucky guesses?

I saw the following on a site The 5th Reel:

Very important note to US players
A little advice for our US players Open an EcoCard account today.

You know how they say all the good news goes down at the coffee machine? Well, I just made myself a cappuccino and overheard a finance manager on the phone with a bank. From what I was able to make out she said that EcoCard will stop accepting applications from Americans in the next few days. However and this is why this is important they will continue to provide service to current customers. So if youre in, youre in!

Weve all been watching as the payment options for the US dwindles down to a select few. So my advice move quickly and get yourself an EcoCard account now. As of now, it looks like they will be the last man standing in the US payment option arena. "

somethings just not right about this.sounds a little fishy to me.

There is indeed something fishy about it, Lauriejim. Based on what he thinks he heard, he sent out mass emails to US players with EcoCard accounts telling them they had better deposit at least $500? I don't know...

Note that I have no personal issue with Mr. Brickman - he helped me out when a JF casino overcharged me twice, causing a snowball effect of overdraft charges.

But ... still, something doesn't seem right either with Jackpot Factory or with EcoCard regarding this situation. Oh well, I'm glad I never signed up there as it seemed like too much of a hassle.

Today's jfspokesman.com blog entry is even crazier, I think he might be on drugs:

------------

In light of all the comments on Very important note to US players, I wanted to share some new banking developments that were working on at the Jackpot Factory. Before I continue, I want to reiterate that we are in the process of working on these and they do not yet exist so consider this inside information.

We are working with our processor to get a system in place to help minimize the number of rejections players receive. As soon as this system is deployed, Ill be sure to let everyone know. I dont want to jinx this, but thought Id tell you because if and when this goes through, it is going to be amazing news for our American players.

Additionally, we are able to nominate select players to Click2Pay in order to open an account for them. Were not at liberty to discuss the criteria in public but if youre interested in opening a Click2Pay account please send an email to support.

Hang in there US players.

I think that this thread and the other one in here about EcoCard/Jackpot Factory, should be combined. The rep has said he'll post later, so it would probably be better if these were together, so he can address it all. Just a thought.

Yeah, it works

hi folks,

I signed up for ecocard and deposited $1000 via Western Union (the fastest way), I was told by a casino to do so, therefore I have received an e-mail saying to be invited by other system, where I can deposit with cards over there. and this is just because I have made a deposit using ecocard.

I suggest you all do so and in case ecocard is pulling out, you will have other option to play with from US using suiting options for US customers.
luck,

using ecocard

besides that I just wanted to post some ideas on using ecocard. i thought it to be a hassle, but after I found out site structure and menus, I find it easy to use.

I'll better make the lead of making first deposit for those that didn't before:

if you have successfully registered, do this:

  1. go to "Money Deposits" section on the left hand menu
  2. you can make either bank deposit using details displayed
  3. I suggest using Western Union or MoneyGram - from the drop down menu "Deposit option" choose Western Union and the information to do will be displayed
  4. after you made a WU transfer don't to forget to confirm your deposit at "Confirm my Deposit" from menu. It will take less than 1 hour to gamble. that's simple.

here is link for not registered users:

Link Removed ( Old/Invalid)

cheers folks,
Sem

EcoCard

Here is the email:

As a loyal player, I wanted to give you a heads up on what is about to happen to EcoCard, your preferred payment option.

EcoCard has informed us ? and they?ll write to you shortly ? that they are pulling out of the US market, but do not worry because they are ensuring that a secure depositing method will be made available to you.

In the meantime, continue playing your favorite games and be sure to stay up to date on the official blog of the Jackpot Factory spokesperson.

As mentioned above, EcoCard will contact you and let you know how to pre-register for this new method in the coming weeks. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support team.

This is not true. If you deposit at 2 in the afternoon, you have to wait until the next morning for your funds to show up.

If you deposit before 10am eastern time, you will be able to gamble that same day around 11am. Even if you deposited at 7am, you will still have to wait until around 11am.

didn't read the crediting schedule

apparrently I was lucky if was credited that fast :)
ok. I'll next time, probably, I'm lucky again. if not I'll follow your schedule

Reply from the Jackpot Factory

Hey All,

David Brickman here, JF spokesperson.

I'd like to clarify the EcoCard issue. EcoCard has informed us and Im sure other casinos as well that they will be pulling out of the US gaming market and replacing their EcoCard payment option with a new option that they will transfer their existing US customers to. Only players who have accumulated $500 or more in (gaming) transactions will be invited to move to the new payment method.

The email that was sent from the casino was simply meant to be an informative email pre-empting EcoCards notification. Once EcoCard makes the change, it will be too late to accumulate activity on an account. As such, we were simply trying to do a service to our players by letting them know in advance.

In regards to the $500 minimum deposits that is a limit set by EcoCard and not by the Jackpot Factory group. We did not in any way mean to mislead any of our players. If players have accounts at other casinos and have deposited over $500 with EcoCard they will be included in the move to the new payment method. However, there is obviously no way for us to know which players have accounts at other casinos and/or how much theyve deposited there.

Next week I hope to have more updates regarding EcoCard. If anybody has any specific questions, please feel free to contact support@jackpotfactory.com or send me a private message.

All the best,

David
