Wondering if you could give me your opinion on IGS? Thinking about using them to start a poker room site? They told me a company called Micropower provides their poker software, should I try and deal with them directly? Really appreciate any useful info.. Thanks

Is this the Argentinian IGS (Mark Flynn etc) which has similar casino/sportsbook/fantasy sportsbook to Futurebet you're talking about? Do you have a site url for them before I comment?

Are you referring to the Argentinian based IGS (Mark Flynn etc) that has similar casino/sportsbook/fantasy sportsbook software to Futurebet?

Just checking before I comment. Do you have a site url for the IGS you are referring to?

Yes that is the Argentina based IGS. I dont know who Mark Flynn is. I have been talking with their North American marketing rep. They seem to be well aware of Futurebet's reputation's problems and have told me they are not associated with them in any way. They gave me the email addresses of the webmasters of some of their casinos and I asked them if they had any problems with IGS, all said they were great. I understand they might not be totally objective. Other than the mark you have sited them for I can't seen to locate any glaring issues, other than the issues every software providers have. I really appreciate your input? thanks.

You're right that IGS licensees would hardly be objective, and recent events have not shown this turnkey provider in a good light, I'm afraid.

If you look here at Casinomeister News and elsewhere on good message boards under Play 4 Treasure Casino you'll see why.

This was an astonishing case where IGS probity and other potential licensee checks allowed an underfunded first year nineteen year old college student to operate an online casino using IGS software. Predictably, she went down in flames pretty fast, leaving a number of unpaid players in her (bankrupt) wake - and she produced evidence to support her claim that IGS were aware that it was happening.

This is when providers face the real test of credibility with the players, especially when said providers have given assurances about "insuring" or "guaranteeing" player accounts. IGS started ducking and diving on those issues, insisting that the owner (who they well knew was a bankrupt college student) was solely responsible. Website changes to the player insurance blurb were made and, as far as I am aware players still remain unpaid months after the casino failed.

In fairness to IGS they have not cut off communications and continue to respond to emails, but the manner in which this has been handled thus far does not inspire confidence or credibility imo.
