Instant Play experience!

Hi All,

Quick question. I have had a few heated debates with both my SEO guy as well as my Head Designer regarding the player experience via Instant Play.

My SEO guys believe that playing the Instant play version within the website is #1 good for SEO ranking etc. #2 A better experience for the user as it's simple and basically one click away from playing.

I tend to disagree on the player experience. I think when you launch the instant play in a separate window and create a "lobby" like theme, that the player feels that it is an authentic casino lobby, instead of just a pop-up window.

We are in the process of re-building one of our sites and my SEO guys wants to go the route of playing off the site and I don't think it's the way to go, but maybe I am wrong. Please let me know your thoughts.

Yeah SEO wins over all else. On a player experience level, I think I prefer instant play for convenience. If they could have instant play but embedded on a website then that would be cool.

We are in the process of building an instant play that is embedded on the page. But personally I don't like it.

Do you not like the current prototype of the embedded instant play you've got going or do you not like the idea of it entirely?

Hi Zabier,

I love this current version of the Instant Play on Raging Bull. But my SEO guy wants us to go another route with our sister casino. Where you play directly off the main site (login to site and play off games page). I am not a fan of that route.

So did you try it out?

EDIT - Here's my verdict:

My preference is the lobby style you have at Raging Bull. I play many sites where the main page is cluttered with all kinds of information (promotions,current winners, etc etc) and on top the available games. I much rather prefer your approach where you have kind of a lobby when playing.

I must also state though that i always preferred a download version of a casino software to the browser based (reasons, see above).

Instand play, and it has nothing to do with SEO for me. Downloadables cheap looking, ugly, noisy, clunky and add nothing.

@ Harry_BKK - thanks for the feedback. I take it you enjoyed the look of the Raging Bull Casino instant play.
@ asm - My SEO guys feels it makes the site more sticky (more time spent on site, increases ranking) - this SEO stuff is french to me ...lol....

I really appreciate all the feedback guys. Always great knowing what the guys "out there" like or dislike.

I love instant play as long as it's not clunky, because it's just so much more convenient where ever I go.

I don't really like instant play. I love to play Keno even though it hates me and few casinos has this game as an option in instant play.
