Indonesia 2004 tsunami

One cannot help but wonder what mankind has done to deserve all this especially after the turn of the century. We had SARS in 2003, followed by the the tsunami in Indonesia in 2004 and then in 2006 the Indian Ocean tsunami. Earthquakes are also in abundance and who can forget the Sichuan earthquake in 2008 and the one in Japan last year. The gradual melting of the ice caps is a major concern and heaven knows what can happen when the sea levels rise so abruptly.

So folks, enjoy your gaming as we dont know what can happen the very next day.

Dinosaurs were dominating the planet and were nearly all wiped out in a matter of months, Black Death killed 30% of the world's human population in 2 years, and I won't even talk about the other pandemics, volcanos, asteroids, famine, ice age, etc.

People like to think that we're having it rough with mother nature but we really don't.

Over the past 10 years it seems as though there's an increase in natural disasters. I've never been in anything like that - there was a tornado here in Edmonton when I lived here before, and when I first moved to Phoenix I woke up at night feeling my bed shake - the next day I heard there'd been an earthquake in California. Interestingly it wasn't a huge one, and the people in Cali who are used to it probably didn't even notice, but it woke me from a sound sleep.
