In how many games can Rival operators change RTP?

Here´s something to chew on!

As we all know by now, Rival operators can(or could) change their BJ payout settings.

I found out, one hour ago, that they according to marketing material can change RTP settings on some slots(at least one) as well.
(If this is posted earlier I apologize, for me it´s news.)

It´s pretty high levels of RTP they can change it between: 96, 97 and 98%.

I do believe that 96% is the most common setting. This post about Cocoa indicates this.

There is a possibility that this RTP change isn´t possible at all nowadays. But the proof it´s still there at Rivals page with files to affiliates.
At least one of the newest Rival casinos links to this file from their affiliate page.

The slot machine I am talking about is Ocean Treasure!

I´m a happy player at Rival but this slot isn´t one of my favourites at all. I am still curious over which settings different casinos have on this slot.
I will continue my play at Rival in the same way I do at RTG even if they can change settings.

Maybe interested affiliates can look at different affiliate pages and look for other games with strange RTP?

If this is old news or if it´s a typo please remove the file at your page Rival!

I wonder in what way they are changing RTP! Is it in reel patterns as with RTG? Is it affected by betsize? Are they changing wins at bonus game?

Does anyone know?

I think we've all pretty much come to the conclusion that RTPs can be changed. With that knowlege, we either play or we don't..........;)

Yes, but if you know that one casino gives you 98% back and another 96%..Which casino would you choose?

Or do you go to the casino with 75%?
;)

Whatever you think you found out is not important at all. Even if they could manually set RTP's with 96-97 or 98% payouts, these numbers would be a blessing when compared to what they actually are set at.

These casinos are much smarter then you think, and by giving this information to affiliates, who make money with the casinos off us suckers, would only be to happy to get in the street and push and brag of these RTP's. Even at the 96% setting that number would be considered a phenomenal return by all standards.

The problem we have here is the fact that online casinos are free to do and say what ever it is they want, since there is no way what so ever to confirm what their saying is true. Affiliates need to believe them or how would they justify promoting them?

Let's face it here, affiliates are making money with the casinos and although many here are helpful, and only wish they were straight up, I'm certain they do know better.

Maybe being an affiliate was a good business years ago, but a decade later the majority of the customers have come to realize what really is taking place online. Affiliates are being forced to drop casino after casino from there recommended places to play as a result of the evidence constantly being brought into the open. Although they pretend to be the leaders that condemn them in threads that exposed them, they really aren't to happy about taking a cut in pay. In fact many can't give up the bucks and still promote them.

As far as recommended casinos go, how much trust could a player have when the same software is being used by rogues? How many times have we seen an accredited casino get thrown into the rogue pit? How long before the next one gets thrown in there? If one type of software was proven rogue and we banned all the casinos that used it, would we have any accredited casinos left on the list?

Just like that e-mail you got bragging of the hot slots all paying out over 100% for a month, because they said that i guess it must be true.

I think online casinos welcome in most homes has been exhausted.

Let's face it, self regulation is not gonna get it done anymore.

Online casinos have proven that without,

Any Gaming Commission Regulation
or
Any Gaming Commission Enforcement

They presently are or eventually will become crooks.

^ what he said.

Presently, I am in a holding pattern from most play, since I don't trust what anyone in casino land says. The games have proven all they need to with me and I have voted with my wallet. I'm playing, but I'm playing in fun mode. ;)
When I start hearing reports that these machines are giving people a fair shake I may give it a go again, but right now the house edge is way too big.

The problem we have here is the fact that online casinos are free to do and say what ever it is they want, since there is no way what so ever to confirm what their(sic) saying is true.

The list of "fixed" games, whether of the gambling variety or not, is chock-full of examples, even if you only look at recent history. Team sports, boxing, horse racing, game shows, even the lottery, for cripes sakes, have been manipulated and compromised by those trying to make a fast buck.

Land-based casinos are highly regulated because those in power know, that without constant oversight, the casinos would screw the players how ever they could.

And yet I'm supposed to believe that the basically unregulated online gaming industry operates fair-and-square?

Personally, I think the evidence is overwhelming that there are few, if any, "fair" online gaming establishments out there. And for those of you who disagree, I am reminded of a quote by Jock Sturges:

"I'm guilty of extraordinary naivete, I suppose. But it's a naivete that I really don't want to abandon, not even now."

Whatever you think you found out is not important at all.

I have to say this: I have seen your posts about how your online play goes and I think that you are more negative about online gambling than most others. Your posts are definately worth reading, they are often good(very good). But I understand that you are "fed up" with online gambling.
This may color your opinion some and it also may color your way of reading a post and choosing what to answer.

I apologize if my first post was hard to understand though..

My point is that they in this document tell affiliates that operators can change the RTP on a machine.

Many players are talking about RTG and their different settings, all RTG casinos say that it´s not up to the casino to change. They have to contact RTG.

This documents shows us that the Rival operators can change it!

I wonder if they can?

And if they can´t anymore, when did they lose the option? And why is the document still there on the Rival page?

@ 4 of a kind again:
You probably didn´t understand why I linked to the post with the Cocoa commercial email either?
If they even in a commercial email mention that the slots are set to 96% it´s probably the most common AND just to read "set" brings me to think that they can change more things than we know.

Maphesto, Thank you for the kind words and although most recently my posts are of the most negative here, it's only a result of actually concluding after endless attempts pursuing who is actually looking out for the players getting a fair game.

I have contacted every one possible I could find whether it be reps here, affiliates here, researched on goggle, sent pm's, sent e-mails all over the world, mailed several letters with requests all over the world to alleged gaming commissions requesting rules and their laws that govern online casinos operating in their jurisdiction, and not once did I receive one single response of any type. I didn't even get a response that they even received my requests.

Now after taking into consideration the past rogue behavior and most recent, and I'm only talking about the games. Payout tactics and other issues are a whole different rogue topic.

The fact that you wonder what other tactics they can use (to cheat) is irrelevant, because it has become obvious online casinos are free to do whatever they damn well please, and for the most part (except some stupid operators) won't get caught.

One thing I want to make clear here, is although I'm negative recently, I've been losing money gambling ever since I took it up. (30 years and still losing) If you like to gamble you have to be willing to expect long term losses. It's not about losing, it's about losing fairly.

I think it's time for most to realize without regulations and enforcement, there's really no chance at all of getting a fair game online.

Time to stop blowing smoke up each others butts trying to justify online casinos.

Extremely well said.

I think it is not a coincidence that my only really large win online ($10k) came at Lasseter's casino, which is fully regulated by the Australian government. I even got paid by check in less than 2 weeks, half a world away....
