Immortal Romance slots suddenly turns very cold for me, anyone notice that?

The august did something bad to IR: wins are rare (though decent), but regulary after some good WD/FS (talking about 50x-70x wins) it all goes downhill, eating not only the profit but the serious piece of balance (if not all)...the Sarah feature improved (seems to be hot as Troy did some 10 days ago), but with misery in base game is all in vain...

Got caught chasing losses. I'm an idiot I know.

Immortal Romance 90p spins. After £600 down I doubled to 1.80 spins and in the course of a few hours went £1,100 down.

Put another £100 on and chased losses at £3.80 a spin. Know you should never chase losses in this way but had a few features and withdrew £1,450 :)

Only £250 profit but I would have been relieved to have ended £200 down so I'm feeling happy :)

Damn. I didn't have you down as the type who would get in that deep. That was a lucky escape.

Nor did I lol

But seriously it's a wake up call. I only earn £250 a week and nearly lost a good chunk of savings. Thankfully I've no kids, mortgage or debts but that was very dangerous :(

I will set deposit limits now.

I was feeling glum when £100 down and should know better than to rely on a swing from Immortal Romance. The high risk recovery paid off but I wonder if I would just have carried on getting deeper and deeper if it hadn't!

Enoughs enough. Wasn't enjoyable and I admit I seem to have developed a problem.

I assume you've read my posts over the years and it is unlike me (although not entirely without precedent).

We are all on the edge of vulnerability and need to ensure we aren't complacent. :)

At least it had a happy ending Probability Zero. I know, once you get into that "zone" it's like you totally lose control and get into some sort of frenzy. Only happened to me once and it will never happen again although mine was at a much lower $ level.

What's worse is I always choose Amber. This makes a high variance slot even higher by far.

Still once on the £3.60 spins she paid off :)

I used to think 30p spins were high lol.

When I started gambling I stuck a tenner a month in Jackpotjoy.

Slippery slope.

Nevertheless I enjoy slots too much to quit but am putting a £50 a week deposit limit in place now.

Good move.

I allow myself 3 or 4 £20-£25 deposit per week but this increases (only by a couple extra) if decent withdrawals are coming in.

I had a mega roll, late June/Early July so done a whole load of home improvements, including a total revamp of our back garden.

Nowt special from the 'norm' but gives me satisfaction to see I put my winnings to good use.

The evil cold spell has followed ever since but I stick to budget above, no way they're having it all back that quickly and its this 'daft' way of thinking that helps me keep cool and stay in control

Amber of course contributed to none of my 'fortune' I simply cannot win on her feature so gave up a long time back and stick with Troy and Sarah and the occasional visit to Michael but only when well in front do I chose Michael.

Heading there for a few spins in the next hour, lets hope the undead are feeling the love

Best of luck.

Before my binge today I was considering buying a new bed.

When £1200 down I was gutted thinking what a good bed that would have bought.

Now I shall buy one up to £1,000 and relish that it's with money I nearly lost lol

Yes it is a wake up call. I should know, because I've recently had that same wake up call. My life circumstances are actually very similar to yours. But the nature of my wake up call came in a different manner. I wasn't having the kind of session that you just described, but on too may occasions, I have let nailed on cashouts slip out of my grasp by not stopping at "point X" and getting too greedy, along with the inevitable bad runs that we all get. Combine those two things and all of a sudden, losses end up being much higher than you bargained for. At no stage have I been playing with "scared money" or with money I could not afford to lose, but still, I have realised that my "hobby" has become a little too expensive for me this year. And it's time to apply the brakes, come to a halt and step out of the car before I cause a crash. My spend on gambling this month is well down on previous recent months already.

As for whether you'd have carried on if the recovery had NOT come when it did, I think you would have. And your desperation may have increased and you may have ended up going as high as £6 a spin. By then, you might have been perversely "delighted" to just get back to being only £500 down. Which is actually a scary thought. The fact you said it wasn't enjoyable tells me all I need to know, you were (at best) feeling uncomfortable and at worst you were shitting bricks. To me, it is a sign that you have developed a problem. But at least you have the smarts to recognise that and more importantly, are taking action to avoid a repeat.

Yes I have read your posts. I seem to recall that both of us were regularly featuring on the Slotmeister leaderboard last year. You seemed to be a fairly disciplined low rolling type (as was I). It would seem that both of us have "lost our way" a bit this year and allowed complacency to gain a foothold.

At least we are both doing something about it.

Lucky escape it would have felt horrible to go so far down. But putting limits in place very wise. I have to limit myself or I loose my nuts. Before the days of being able to limit deposits I would gamble like a nutter.

Then when finally I had enough I decided a total re-think. I tried abstaining but love the game too much. So re-learned the joys of low rolling and using every means possible to limit my vice.
First thing I do before joining a new casino (which is rare these days) is check what RG tools they have. I wont join if they dont have depo limits at the click of button. If they do first thing I usually do is set my deposit limit usually between 30 and 50 weekly.

If im winning I will marginally increase the deposit limits and if im loosing like the past 2 weeks I slide them right down to below min where I can. Virgin though for example you can only set a min of 10 quid per day so then I use TAB (Never SE)

That way it can be kept safe and Fun as it is supposed to be.

Never gamble the rent and never gamble to pay the rent

GL and congrats on the withdraw

I don't know about Immortal Romance as it was pretty loose at GUTS as I got "Gold Status" in the bonus screen. It's that POS Playboy over at Bet Victor I'm angry about. Lost $50 + a 100% bonus trying to get a big hit like Fatso's. Last 300-400 spins and zero bonuses. This is why I hate Microgaming slots. They pull this garbage on you way too often. I should have played Medusa II. Next Generation slots I regularly play seem to give you the bonus at fair intervals except for that cheesy Holly Madison slot.

Anyway, next time.

eh those hits dont really come on each $100 deposit :D

that was almost 4000x hit and you really shouldnt chase those, especially on super HV slots like playboy :P

Is it possible that after 1 year of playing I now realize that Wild wine is just replacement, but not 2x multiplier????

I expected 60, got double less...

Shame on you MG...

yeah that one is replacement, and doesnt work like normal 2x wild, sadly. thats why ideal sarah combos include normal wild too. Never paid much attention so not sure if sarah wild can override normal wild in case it spawns on top of it?

Total misery with last weeks with all MG slots, but especially IR. I haven't seen FS for days and last 20 WD's - 12 of them were 1-reel and 3 gave zero win. Best was 68x win, but average is about 15x!!!

Must be full moon or something...

As much as 32 Red is my all time fave casino, have to agree it is like playing at a cemetery or a morgue there of late.

Lifeless slots, no or very poor features and slots which used to play the odd 'give and take' which appear to have had the screws turned.

Loved a good download session but know whats happening these days before I make my 1st spin.

Don't get me wrong love these guys and probably always will but somethings gotta give and soon :(

Completely agree Jon. I had a couple of decent withdrawals from 32Red in July, but throughout this month it's been awful. It was that bad they awarded me a £25 Red Letter Day, which went the same way of the over £1k deposits so far this month without a withdrawal.

IR has been particularly bad, but so has Terminator 2 which I could relay on a few good bonus rounds from, but not this month.

And I still haven't had a 4 reel Wild Desire or Terminator 2 hot bonus mode, from any casino!!

Nor me and played Terminator 2 heavy when first released.

Have had 3 x 4 - Reel Wild Desire over the YEARS which for the amount of spins I put through it is terrible.

Ironically I had just fired up IR at 32 Red as I spotted this thread at the top of the forum page so hopefully a positive omen lol

Edit: Nope, whole site deader than a bag full of extinct animals ...again, strange you would think on 'random' slots you couldn't get your arse kicked, featureless every time

The casino as a whole plays nothing like it used to (couple of years back, conspiracy I have was after UK pullout by lots of MG standalone casinos ;) )

and no, not a tin foil hat in sight :p

Well, it's beyond cold at Betat.

Only 60 spins. but I wasn't prepared to go any further. because those 60 spins dropped my balance by 30.60, meaning I won £5.40
and had an RTP of 14%

Well I had few short sessions after this...all in all some 300 spins, without any significant profit or loss:
5 bonuses (all Troys): 14x, 15x, 20x, 112x and last I didn't start so it is waiting for me...2 WD's: 1-reel- 1x win ad 2 spins after that 2-reel (30x win)...also had 3 Ambers 50AK (4OAK+wild to be correct) and also 50AK castle...who knows what will be tonight....

Another losing session

An Angry 'jonmincher'

A damaged mouse and thumped keyboard

Raised blood pressure and sweaty palms

Just another day in the life .......

Yep it wasn't good. Before starting FS I cashed out all my balance so started with zero. Again picked Troy (wrong decision, should opt for more spins) and got only 23x win. I tried to play with 0.60 and after 25 spins was at 0.28. Then turned to Deck the Halls (0.03 bet - only 3 lines activated), got nice win line hit (2.00) and then moved to 9-lines playing. After 3 spins got FS which paid 40x, so I was at 6.00. Returned to IR and stupidly remained at 0.60 and bust.

Jesus,
Just took the 100% bonus at Betat on a 30 deposit.
Played about on Terminator for a bit and went onto IR with 50.

Got bonus quite quickly and picked Troy.

Got down to my 30 bonus where it shows you the wagering in the corner, i turned over 41 ish with the remaining 30.

I have had a decent month this month on my return to online gambling but all bar one has been down to Microgaming slots giving a decent run.

The extra 5p was with a win with the trigger.
Barely even saw 2 scatters after that shite, never had a Troy bonus that paid fuck all before.

ir.webp

my first session after a looooooong time and probably my last one too :P

started with $148 played 0,90 and then 0,60 bets - 4 bonuses in around 650 spins 2 out of those 5 paid ZERO, and one paid $3 on 60 cents bet. ambers of course but still... my best one was like 20x on troy and best base game was also around $20 so yeah :/

stupid game wasted my 5 scatters trigger on GoT :D:(:( i always feel like crap after getting something so nice without cashing out in the end so yeah that just adds more hate towards IR for me :P

long story short

IR is evil, pure evil !

:D

Troy the wanker has done that or similar (less than a squid) several times to me, its also my main 'pick'.

Personal bests are £237 and £403 (both on 0.30p and both well over 2 years ago)

I'm sure 'Immortal Romance' is an anagram of 'Fucking bust again' :p

Rigged pile of dog mess

Im sure every 4th symbol on the reels is a 9.

Its all i seem to get, 3 or 4 OAK of twatting 9's

Just had my first ever 4 reel Wild Desire after years of playing this slot!!

Apologies, no screen shot, but the first 3 and last reels went wild. On the 4th reel I had an A, Sarah, & a 9. Total win, 2115x on a £1.50 bet, my best ever playing on line.

It was with Leo Vegas.

It took a while, but my luck changed for the better. I hope others does too. I didn't believe it could, but it can happen!

Chris

I have another offer from Maria Casino that just can't be refused (100% deposit match bonus with just a 10x bonus wagering requirement) so I will chuck £100 at this slot on Monday and see where it gets me.

Will report back on Monday.

What an utter disaster that was.

£200 starting balance and you would have thought you're gonna have some fun with that. £0.90 spins all the way through.

Less than 1 hour later and the results are in:

No bonus round
No wild desire

Total spins: 414

So my RTP for this session is 46.3%

Highest win was £21.60 (24x)
Second highest win was £9.60 (10.7x)

F-ck you Immortal Romance!

Well, I was hoping for better feedback/results than that!

IR has been shocking for days now.

It took me well over 1,000 spins yesterday to trigger my only WD of my 3 sessions (same casino, same balance just took breaks) - 1st and 3rd reel wild, matched 10 and J

Featureless for ages and ages also and when it finally 'gave in' I had 3 bonus rounds very close together (1x Troy, 1 x Sarah and 1 x Michael)

Despite this I still left the game well at a loss

Two deposites (50) demolished by IR.

Staurday...200 empty spins...only one "big win"
Sunday ...450 spins - one 2-reel WD (44x), one FS (Sarah, 55x) and two "big wins". From 50 to 32 than up to 81 and then down to bust.

Now this is very, very strange...maybe I should switch to TFROL until IR gets together....

Tonight almost another bust, but the fact that I started with 100 saved me. 900 spins, first 250 misery (lowest point was 45) than it started to give. All in all, 2 weak WD's and one zero, 6 free spins (mostly Sarah, all under 60x). Base game "big wins" and nice Troy FS (175x) ended with +60 in my balance.

Nightmare matey seriously.

Most, if not all of this month (yes my losing streak don't help) all of my 'go to' / 'faves' on MG have just gobbled without mercy

IR, TS2, Playboy, TFROL, Terminator 2, Fish Party, Untamed Series colder than cold and showing no signs of warming either.

My top casino 32 Red and Roxy Palace seem the worst of the lot (not sure if this has anything to do with them being MG only casinos)

So much so I now call it 'dirty poo dead' yeah I know, not a lot of thought went into that one  :p

Wouldn't be so bad in WMS and Netent were giving a fair crack of the whip but they are almost as bad, providers must be making an early start on saving for Christmas bonuses.

If memory serves however it was this time last year so many, many members were posting about the evilness of MG, seems to be an annual situation! (CBA to dig for thread but its here somewhere)

Well, I did the digging...it seems IR got on the feet in the october???
Maybe IR is alergic to ambrosia ;)
