Just had an enjoyable and lengthy session at Luxury Casino on IR. Plenty of features and 4 Wild Desires - although these were crap and only gave 1 or two columns of wilds and very low wins. However, on three of the four WD features which paid poor, the very next spin gave me 5OAK Amber with two of them including a wild so doubled up. Even had two WD features in three spins.

End result - 2 hours of play and broke even - £150 in and £150 out. Maximum balance was around £185, but just sensed there was no huge win, just playing along with pleasant wins and ticking by. Bets were either 60p, 90p but mainly £1.50.

Well, what the ride was last night!!!

I started with free spins (which I didn't want to activate in last session).
Although I said that Troy owe me, I have started Micheal. It result in rather weak win, about some 35x bet. Somehow Micheal loves weak symbols on first three reels and often pays rather small. Now my balance iz 250.

Then I started. At first wins were more than ok (but without 5OAK personal symbols+wilds) so I boosted bet to 0.90. First mission was to capture free spins again and to chat with Troy.
But no luck (at this point): I think there were dozens of 2 scatter spins, but I mannaged to hit first free spin bonus at 288. spin (way above average). Pickey Troy and – barely 10x bet. After that again some small wins which kept me going until 507. spin. Troy is picked again and with almost same poor win. Well, I was stubborn although the balance was melting. Than I hit this 615. spin:

I was still after free spins, not ever near to give up and finally got it at 749. spin. This time Amber was chosen – medium-poor 65x.
And than everything stopped. Even two scatter spins were rare and wins minimal (9, 10, J, K,Q without wilds).Also, I had 5 situations when Sarah could cheer me up with 5OAK and two wilds, but one wild was always at wrong place so I didn't get even 4 or 3 of a kind.

I guess that depresion came over to IR because BDBA Megaspinn has eaten all my win from TFROL.
So, I started with 170 balance.

111. spin - got frree spin (4 scatters landed) - that scatters gave 15x and to the end of unexciting Troy complete win was 66x

I was pushing to the 400 spins but without luck...stopped with balance of 50!

This morning I 've managed to improve balance up to 66 (with other slots) and decide to start again with 0.90 (lately slots love to reward first spin(s)).

Fused postponed Troy bonus - nothing - 3.5x bet!!!!

I instantly lowerd bet 0.90 to 0.60...

Yeah I've had the Sarah feature do that a few times, Drop a nice reel arrangement and then the Wild Vine goes and 'breaks with tradition' and drop s one on a 'none regular ' reel!

Isn`t it fact, that the win for a bonusround is predetermined before it starts and the pictures on the reels just visualize the win? So it would be random what you win when you press spin, but not what pictures/wilds etc occur during bonusround.
Dont know if im right, but that is what i thought i learned by reading several threads on this forum.

Ok, I had two peeks (reaching 120.00) but I was chasing WD and win at least near 200x. Free spins at first were dense (everyone would want that), but "female bonuses" were horrible. I've had a session lasting 1800 spins with no Wild Desires occurring. And quite a few others in excess of 1,000 spins.

Look at it this way. Not getting a Wild Desire in 1,400 spins is roughly the same as not getting a bonus feature in 600 spins, given that the approximate average "trigger rate" of a Wild Desire is at least 350 spins and around 150 spins for a bonus feature. Now I don't know about you, but I've had many spells in excess of 600 spins without seeing a feature.

It sucks, no doubt about it. But it's also to be expected, sadly. Because on the flip side, I've had 7 Wild Desires in the space of 200 spins and I've had 7 bonus features in the space of 175 spins. Those kind of numbers back up the reality that IR is a very volatile, very streaky slot. It's rare for the player hit some kind of comfortable middle ground on this game. Very much a "sink or swim" affair.

That's why I just stick to the rigid Amber, Troy, Michael, Sarah picking order. If I veer away from that and then get a stinker, I then start trying to convince myself that I "created my own bad luck". I still think Troy is the best, but like you said, he can be moody. And that's why I think it's important not to get too "fixated" on him. On their day, all of them can perform considerably better than the other three. Sometimes, all four of them will deliver at least once in a session. Just go with your planned picking order (if you have one) and stick to it.

I agree that re-triggers on Amber are much rarer than TFROL's Coffee and Chocolate, but I still find Amber to be better for hitting 300x. The problem with TFROL is the variance is so much greater that chasing a bonus feature becomes very dangerous. I'd sooner play IR at 90p than play TFROL at 30p, simply because I find TFROL's variance so much more "intimidating".

As for stopping after tripling your balance, that's a tough one. I myself have played entire bonus playthroughs playing only IR. It tends to be one of those games where it's gonna go tits up fairly quickly. OR I'm gonna to get off to a flyer and just keep on climbing, get to a point where I am guaranteed to clear WR with profit and then just "nurse" my balance until I clear it. If you're playing without a bonus, I'd say that if you triple up, consider cashing out all of it....or two-thirds of it (depending on where you are playing, it may be possible to keep the game open while you cashout). If you cashout two-thirds, now you're back to your original balance, but with a cashout in the bag. And you have your chance to try to rinse and repeat. If it doesn't work, you've still doubled up and had a positive result. It if does work, awesome. Only you can know what is best for you based on your budget. And we're all different.

When I have cleared WR on a bonus, then I employ "the dunover rule" ie cashing out at (or close to) 75% of your peak balance. As soon as I drop and hit 75%, quit and cashout. If in the course of playing down to 75%, I manage to land another decent hit and reach a new peak balance figure, the exit amount has to go up accordingly. It's never a bad thing to have an exit strategy in place. If you don't have one, you will usually pay for it. I once blew all of a certain £875 cashout because I just got "lost in the buzz" and I was so pissed off at myself (literally for weeks) because I simply wasted of those "rare gem" sessions. This game can turn on a sixpence.

I thought it can't be worse than yesterday, but I how I was wrong!

Today Twisted Circus and Dec the halls gave me some nice wins so I started with 100 balance.

First session interruprted after some 30 spins, it reported error. Restarting it, I spotted reed 3rd reel...the error happemed during WD. No wins.

At spins 52. and 91. again Wild desires WITHOUT WINS (2. and 5 reel, and 5. reel).

First bonus was Amber at spin 134 with weak 21x.

Actually, is it high volatility at all, because it asumes that there can be some major wins 200x and above and I didn't even win 100x. There were 14 chances.

So there were features, but below average, haven't managed to get back to my balance.

This evening I made new deposit (50).

At 40. spin I got 3 wilds in the base game (25x) and that was it.
At 175. spin I had to go to 0.30, at 200. spin game over. Now that was horrible.
Now I have to stop for a few days. Ice age and thats it. I can't blame myself for some tactical errors, I didn't even get the chance to be greedy.

Very, very dangerous slot, I have to admit that TFROL on the long run (1000+ spins) was never so cruel to me, that slot is mean on short runs (from my experience).

If you manage to last 1,000 spins on TFROL WITHOUT going broke, you've done well. I don't think you can fairly compare TFROL and IR on long runs (of 1,000+ spins) because TFROL is rarely going to give you the chance to last that long in the first place. Not without a deep starting balance in relation to your bet size, maybe as high as 500 times your bet.

I am saying about my experience, I had sessions on TFROL with 0.30 with cca. 1000 spins and I always got at least one 300x and many free spins...

But, on topic...

If I get scatter on 1st reel and this marked combo on 2nd reel in 98% I will not get 3rd scaatter. Also, it is incredible how we all struggle to get 5OAK Michael, and not to mention dozens of Sarah combos where one reel is missing (even this screen). If it is pure random I really doubt that this suituations would repeat so often.

£75 in, sod all out. The latter is not a problem per se, if there was some action. But there wasn't.

No bonus rounds and 3 wild desires that were as useful as a chocolate teapot.

Played £0.60 a spin till £60, £0.30 for anything under £60.

Horrible is not the word. The thing on this session was that at the start I managed to get the balance up to £95 so it wasn't playing too bad.
Went downhill quick from there and perhaps with the benefit of hindsight I should have stopped when it went down to £30 and play the rest some other time. Not that it should matter of course because these slots are not supposed to have hot and cold spells

I try and employ my 'Hit and Run' tactic which works well but sometimes its so darn hard to leave IR, very well programmed and thought out piece of software which keeps you thinking, Maybe the next spin will be a bonus or I'll finally get that 4-Reel WD!

Wednesday at Casumo. Started with £367 (playing with a bonus on a £100 deposit and a high WR though - bloody good thing too!) and 90p bets.

BUSTED after 812 spins (RTP just under 50%). 1 bonus round (which paid 3x bet), no wild desires. A 5OAK of Troy and 2 5OAKs of Amber
were the only things that prevented it from being even worse.

Easily the worst session (in terms of still being under 50% RTP after that many spins) I've ever had in 4 years of playing the game.

Bonus rounds were frequent and I was hovering between £50 and £118 for ages. Played a total of 3 hours with it at bets of £0.90 (above £90), £0.60 (between £60 and £90) and £0.30 (under £60).

What I found was that there were no bonus rounds when playing at £0.60 and £0.90 stakes. They were only given on £0.30 and paid pretty well.

Wild Desires were like buses. Waited ages for one and then 4 within 100 spins. Needless to say, they paid crap.
