I have been playing the 1 hour bonuses offered by Blackjack ballroom, after winning the max bonus $96 they inform me to deposit $ 50 to be able to collect the bonus, then they will not let me withdraw the bonus without playing another waging requirement at x 30 times, i then thought no way im out of here, now i cannot even get my deposit out !
Does this sound fair ?

This is how these promotions work.

The advertising is misleading, as it seems that what you win, you get to keep. In fact, this is just a fancy way of offering the new player welcome bonus, and with these, the 30x WR is pretty standard, and is itself "fair", even if the way the offer is presented is not.

It is the $96 that has to be wagered 30x, and for a welcome offer, this is pretty good, as it is almost a 200% bonus on your first deposit. Further bonuses are going to range between 15% and 40%, and are added as reward points, rather than casino credits.

They have a habit of locking this rewards account, so move any points out quickly, especially just after a decent withdrawal (it doesn't give their system time to update your overall lifetime position, and lock your rewards account down if you get too far ahead, or have had "too many bonuses").

Welcome to the forum!

Yep, that's how online casino bonuses go. This type of bonus makes you work for it, but it's still just a bonus. It may not seem fair at first, but if you think about it, it's the only way they can give you extra money to play with and not go bankrupt.

If you didn't have to wager anything, you could just deposit for a bonus and withdraw without playing anything. No business can just give away free money for nothing and hope that you'll come back.

If you didn't play anything after depositing, you could ask them to remove the bonus for you.

I have been playing the 1 hour bonuses

I had a similar experiance years ago with another microgaming casino I wont mention it's name but it sounds like maple syrup. I hadn't fully understood their convoluted T&C's and was disapointed but also enlightened to the fact that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Going through these free bonus learning curves is I guess what hardens some new gaming customers up to the restrictive realities of accepting all kinds of bonus offers.

Funny enough around the same time I played at Blackjack Ballroom without accepting the bonus and deposited £200. Played roulette and won £6500 and withdrew with no problems at all. From then on I always rejected bonus offers from any casino I frequented and played without restriction.

I think unless you fully understand how a particular bonus can work in your favor and you have weighed up the risks involved to meet the wagering playthroughs etc then and only then should you accept a casino bonus. Most slot players here seem to like bonuses and manage to get the best from them. Myself I like to keep things 'simples' and decline them.
