I'm currently listening to...

One of the few albums, Antics, that i don't get bored of.

Remember years ago, maybe 2005, being told 'Interpol are supporting at the City of Manchester Stadium, I've got a spare ticket'. Being 5 sheets to the wind and staying just off Oxford Street, duly agreed, only to be met with Athlete instead. To make things worse it was....U2. Holy Fuck, that was one of the worst 2 hours of my life - ended up just following the guy with the Ghostbusters backback distributing the beer and staying close to the toilets. I did make it out to the main area in time to see multi millionaire Bono righteously tell us to donate to some charity or something. Meh.

As for Queen? Only really like Don't Stop me Know but mainly because it was used in a scene of the Umbrella Academy recently.

Ill bring
Haha I actually listen to that training from time to time lol

The best track to train to, run to, ride to, fight to, smash tiddlywinks to, play tag to, checkmate to....you name it.

Was not going to post this one next but have ended up down a different road tracking down what i think is the best version of this, which i dont think is the from the album sleeve shown. I believe this version to be from the Money For Nothing Album or maybe Telegraph Road but this sleeve has the live version i think.

phew...that was mouthful, shoulda said 'ere! listen to this!'

The video in your post showed as unavailable. Needed to actually search for it. I liked the title, so I kinda had to.

As for things one doesn't get bored of ... I've been listening to (mostly) two bands for the entire day. Nobody here will ever guess what those bands are.

This is a great song. You have good taste, better than a lot on this thread of devil worshipping heathens!..

Watch it Ben.

All those things that you desire
You will find here in the fire
Put your hands up and reach for the sky
Cry for absolution

'ere! listen to this!'
This is a great song. You have good taste, <snip & reported for blasphemy>.

This is actually on point in regards to the earlier discussion in this thread today.

I had a beer today with a friend. He's an avid fan of Mark Knopfler & Dire Straits. He was not pleased when I told him while I understand that he likes his playing and their songs, my take on the same music is equivalent to taking a tad too much valium.

But I do like Brothers in Arms to a degree. I can't stay awake while listening to it, but I like it nevertheless.

That's the beauty of music in a nutshell. It's all good -- to someone.

Friedrich Nietzsche: Twilight of the Idols (1889):

"Music now brings me sensations such as I have never had before. It takes me away from myself, it sobers me up from myself, as if I oversaw myself from a distance..."
(Translated by Richard Polt)

What does this mean?

I googled and got scholarly articles on nuclear power.
It’s his jibberish to call upon lucifer at will.

As for \m/:

"In text-based electronic communication, the sign of the horns is represented with the \../, \m/ or |m|"

So Ben was kinda right. A bright little one ain't he? :drink:

Yes he has an understanding of the dark side.

I fear not as i had garlic tonight and am off to lay in a circle of salt.

Not that i believe in all that mumbo jumbo but i once had somebody tell me that if i didnt give his Cranberries album back he would lay a gypsy curse on me and since then, in the back of my mind, whenever i have bad luck i do recall the threat so maybe there is some fact in the fiction. Either way, you shouldnt joke like that @Playford7 ill probably have nightmares now, not that i believe in all that mumbo jumbo.

Good night music lovers :)

Alas it’s too late. Turnurs hex has now befallen you and all you hold close.
Occasionally posting dark and evil songs from time to time the lord of darkness look at as a favour if you will, like a sacrifice...
after that all is well.

Not many of you, probably none will know this band.
bill nelson on guitar was a delight, I’ve all the albums on original LP also.
They where immense, never really made it big but had a cult following.

You're such a musical elitist, it sickens me

Over the moon I’ve met a be bop fan! I’m 39 mate, my uncle introduced me to such superb music, he played with Chris rea back in the day, even had his guitar.
sadly he passed due to alcoholism, but he was immense, singing and guitar work..,
Played on cruise ships for years also!...

And this from the best band to come out of the UK in recent years for me........

They've cemented themselves as one of the greatest British bands of all time no less. They eat up acclaim and awards for fun, a great journey from when they started out with their catchy ditties

Night tunes. Easy listening.

Almost got a dislike (which doesn't actually exist) due to the band members looking like annoying poser students and the guitarist having a man-bun

She looks like a goer though, so kudos

Have to agree, pretty studenty all around. But the music is ok.

Currently listening to The Back Room by The Editors. Saw them on their tour of this album. Absolutely different class.

This is Fingers in the Factory from the album.
