A few days ago I opened a blog and uploaded 126 pictures. Then I asked a few friends to take a look and choose the ones they liked the most, for whatever reason. Now just four have commented so far and it's way too few so I wanted to ask if any of you were willing to take the time to help me choose the best of them.
I'm applying for a one year study in photo that starts in January. I just have a few days left to choose pictures and in the end it will just be 3 that I send.

Since you, or most of you, haven't seen any of these pictures your opinion are valuable even if you don't know anything about how professionals are judging them.
I'm calling myself a maniac in this blogg because sometimes I feel I am when I'm out with my camera:)

I will take it down again tonight so you just have today to do it. If you're just curious then please stay out, but if you like pictures and wants to help me then I will be really grateful. I've written more information in there.

Edit: I don't think it's possible to comment from a mobile.
To be able to really see the pictures you actually have to click on them. They do not look the same in the small version.

Wow, you have a great talent (and a tough job narrowing those images down to three!).

I love the second-last image in the 'Nature' tab (The Waterlily). I'll take more time after lunch to go through all the other images :)

All of those photographs are fantastic and professionally taken, It's almost impossible to choose just 3, so I can see why you'd ask for help :D

Superb photos Sarah, they all look very professional and beautifully captured. Like Jon, I'll go through the lot and leave a few initials here and there.

My partner wants to take up photography next year full-time and I'll let her peruse your collection. I have no doubt she'll like them too :thumbsup:

There are some beautiful photograph's there Sara. My eldest is at Uni studying Photography and I can see some of the work she does on her pictures in yours. I will come back to you later when I have the time with my Faves as they deserve more than a glance :)

This is great. I really have some valuable feedback now, but please people choose more than three if you want to. It's just the number I need to choose.

I do plan to take a few pictures of London again in February. Hope to see you there.
Then I'm going to Norway by 'Hurtigrutten' in April.
Not Grimsby though.

I have been thinking of setting up a shop of some kind, but I haven't had the guts yet.
Now I feel like I've learned enough to maybe just do that, soon, maybe:o

I couldn't take a cent from you. Just let me know which one you want.
The rest will have to pay though;)
 
I think a have seen some glimpses of your beautiful photography on Facebook Sara but on your blog are some really really awesome pictures.

If I had to make a top three, these would be defo in it.
Very hard as there are many more fantastic photographs.

Thanks everyone for your effort to help me. It really did help, and it gave me a lot more self confidence to keep on which I really needed. Time to close the blog down.

I'm right now down to just 11 pictures and them I've posted in a Facebook group I'm in, where there are really great photographers. Not a normal photo group where people are just posting cat's but a bit better.
I asked them there to just like the three best if they liked any and they seem to like them.

I'll post the final three here when I've made the decision. Tomorrow probably.

I am no expert on art so ones i liked you should probably discount straight away lol.

Anyway thanks for sharing the lovely photos. You are obviously a talented photographer so hope the future goes well.

Oh and the ones i liked simply say like :D Hadnt thought about entering anything else. Till i looked at comments after and saw others had left names. Oh well what would you expect from a stupid Scotsman.

I don't know if I can call her my step granddaughter but she's in the family now and she's born to be a model. I'm learning and are taking better pictures every time I see her. She don't know how I look but she do know what kind of camera I have :D
 
I've had several requests through Wordpress by people who wants to see my pictures. I closed it down last night since I thought I'd got all help that I needed.
It was a blog created just for that purpose.

If you really want to see them anyway then send me a pm in here instead.

I will post the final three when I've decided the third one. That's a tough decision :eek2:

From what i've seen before, and from a few peeps here that 'stole them' and posted their fav's it seems you are getting better and better, and i am happy you found such inspiration. I would love to still help in picking, you know where to find me.

Ah ok then i hope you will be accepted!

Those 3 photo's you just posted are excellent, and even cover a few big genres of photography imo:
1 portrait, 2+3 landscape/design, 3 art (what do i know about photo genres really:rolleyes:)

But of course 2 has an artistic value too, perhaps that is my favourite of the 3:)

If i were in the judging committee i would be inviting you for whatever follow up is needed :D

I was roped into help make up the staffing numbers when an ex GF took some dementia residents to Beachy Head. While in the pub near by one of them wandered off unnoticed while she was at the bar ordering stuff and I near shit myself!

You if anyone should buy a real camera or at least learn to use a program to make your pictures look a bit better.
It's a great way of learning to see the world a bit different.

A lighthouse pic is on my bucketlist of pictures to take :thumbsup:
