I hate losing...

This is when I'm at my worst. I hate logging off knowing I've lost. This leads to chasing, which doesn't always lead to getting back to even, if you know what I mean. Anyways, long story short, I went for -$650 today @ Inetbet, and this is after being up almost $200. That'll teach me to leave money from a previous cashout sitting in QT to long for the little devil on my shoulder to reverse.

I'm playing a big bonus at a Rival at the moment and doing pretty good (currently about $1,000 above my deposit), but I've had loads of near total disasters;

With each one I had to force my self to stop chasing and move on to a different slot. Then once on the new slot, try to keep my bets low. I say "try" because it is very difficult. You really have to try to forget the loss you just had and move forwards.
If I just lost say $200 on a slot, my target on the next one is just to make some sort of gain. Even if I only make $10 I will be quite happy and move on to the next one. The most important thing IMO is to stop the chain of loss after loss after loss.

Last month at the same casino I was struggling a bit, but I completely lost the plot playing Fantasy Fortune, chased and chased my losses by upping bets until I pretty quickly totally bust out.

It was after that I changed my signature here to "Getting back to basics" and set myself to go back to my old way of playing in a more controlled manor because I had been losing the plot far too often in recent months.

Losing is a big downer and is one reason why I play only after I come home from work, or towards the end of the day when I am on a day off from work. If I lose I won't feel depressed for the rest of the day.

Keeping the bets low can also help against this. You would have more time to realise what is happening and realise that you can always come back again another day. Although I appreciate when you are losing it is also very tempting to play on and then throw the balance into one bet in the hope of some small recovery. I've done this a few times before and survived but I would not recommend it.

I think losing can help a player to learn a little through reflection, helping to realise bad habits in their betting etc etc. I find it can be good to reflect, but at the same time it is somewhat depressing.

DaveG39 - I can only suggest that perhaps you should consider reducing your bankroll next time you play. If you feel really really down about losing your deposit, then perhaps this would be a better way forward in future. I once placed 256 in one bet. Having lost it, it felt like the end of the world for me. I reduce my bets and also decided to deposit smaller amounts (64), knowing I'd play more carefully. This seems to work for me. When I lose, I still think "bugger", but any damage does not seem all that bad now, as I know it is possible to recover.

Thanks. I have had to raise my bankroll recently since I am now using QT (and it's hefty fees) to cash out. It all comes down to willpower really though, if I hadn't reversed my last cashout from QT, and then lost it, I wouldn't have ended up so deep in the hole.

I think that's half of the battle with QT is the wait period on waiting for a cashout to be processed. I think the last time I waited 2 business days before getting impatient and loosing my last cash out. It was $500 too off of $50, but anyways oh well. I've been reading some people once you get in the "system" after your first complete cashout QT runs faster. Maybe next time I'll just wait. We'll see.

Wow these stat really suck big but still up a 1000$?? You must have had some big hits as well! On which slots if I may ask?

I am playing Rival a lot lately and the slots can really be like that sometimes however 23% and 14% is reall really terrible...

I have played the moonlight slot a few times and I like it however the who dunnit bonus round is boring and does not pay much...I once got 3 latterns and had a very nice free spins round, which has much more potentional with the expanding wilds.

I actually ended up with $1,400 after WR ($150 deposit + $300 bonus)

Very true. I try to cut my bankroll a lot of slack so that if I lose a normal amount I don't even regard it as a loss. I try to think of it as being in a buffer zone between winning and losing.

I have to do this because I know form experience the chasing approach is a road to disaster. Chasing is so dangerous as it doesn't give luck a chance to rebound for you. It is really important to hang around and ride out the bad luck and then things may eventually turn back for you.

Well, that's not entirely true. I'll risk $30 or so from my blackjack winnings and sometimes I get a big winning run on slots. I'll low-ball for about a 100 spins and if I don't get a profit from that then the next 100 spins I'll up the bet per spin and so on until the dang-gone-it slots give me what it's supposed to! Yeah, I know...there is no such thing as 'supposed to' when it comes to slots and gambling...BUTTTT not for me! It's SUPPOSED to!

It's 30 at QT and 12 at my bank for the incoming wire. Before I switched casinos, which necessitated the switch to QT for cashouts, and was cashing out by check, I would normally only deposit $250-$350 at a time, so....

Most of the time I don't mind losing if I get some decent play time.

The problem is the casino's idea of decent play time and mind differ.

The casino thinks as long as I wager X amount of dollars or spin X amount of spins for my deposit it's decent play time. They use this silly payout percentage which really means nothing to me because if I win back most of my bet every single spin I get a really nice payout percentage in spite of the fact that I never won on a single spin. But that's another story.

Decent play time comes from winning. If I win really big on my first spin and then lose every spin for the next hour that's not decent play time. I don't care what the casino's numbers say. Losing every spin is not fun and when it's not fun it's not decent play time.

I just made a small deposit at Royal Joker and got two good hits right away in the Mad Hatter's slot game.

I had 120 dollars in my account. After that I hit crap. Every game, every spin. Two bonus features that paid almost exactly what they cost to hit them. 200 spins in the Osbourne's game which has not two but three different bonus features and I couldn't hit even one of them once.

I played for about an hour at 2 coins per line and spent almost the entire hour losing. That's not decent play time. That's frustrating and in my opinion, unnecessary.

I just don't believe the 30 seconds of good luck and 3600 seconds of bad luck anymore. Not everytime I play. Luck is entirely reliant on odds and if my luck is consistantly that bad then the reality is the odds are just so bad that no amount of good luck is going to help.
