Has anyone out there ever played at Hot Pepper casino? I have been playing there for about a month and really like it. However I have made several small withdrawals in the last week and cannot get anyone there to answer me about the status of these withdrawals. I have not heard anything bad about them, so far, and they have not denied me my winnings, just certainly not rushing to send them. Is there some new issue about sending checks to U.S. players? I did not know about it or is it just certain casinos?

I have no iknowlage about Hot Peper casino...SOme Casinos take for ever to pay up some pay in seconds.

If you read around this sight and others you will find there is all sorts of troubles with US players getting there money. Our Government is being a HUGE pain in the ass right now!

I have had one casin that normaly had paid to my online account in about a day or two has taken over a month. Another one's bank decided not to honour the check they had sent even tho the money was there.

Yea...there are some troubles paying us players.

Good luckl

Elizabeth, you might want to phone the casino and verify your withdrawal(s) and withdrawal method. As Slugo said, yeah, there's just a teensy weensy problem for U.S. players right now.... ;) Having said that, I've played and cashed out at Hot Pepper in the past and believe them to be reputable.

It might be a good idea that U.S. players make it a habit of contacting the casino prior to depositing to find out if/how/what method of withdrawal is working at the moment. Some casinos are saying flat out that they have no way to pay players right now. Unfortunately, the current situation is very volatile and demands players stay on their toes if they value their gaming money.

Yes and this Casino operates under the Certified Fair Gaming seal that ensures........errrrrrrr hang on a moment - what's this, maybe they don't -:

"The following casinos are currently using the Certified Fair Gambling Seal without permission or auditing services:

www.stanleyvipcasino.com
www.hotpeppercasino.com
www.fireandicecasino.com
www.casinobleublancrouge.com "

Yes very reputable - let's all rush and deposit here. Here's hoping the OP gets her money as quickly as possible.

I'll rephrase myself then... I have played and cashed out at Hot Pepper, in the past, before the UIGEA, before NETeller shut U.S. players out, and was paid without a hassle and therefore believe that Hot Pepper will at least make attempts to pay Elizabeth. But I highly recommend that she phone the casino to see exactly where the casino stands on these withdrawals.

Many casinos (MGs included) are letting U.S. players deposit and play with no immediate solution as to how to pay them should they wish to withdraw.

Do any casinos post the CFG seal without permission?

Yes. Unfortunately graphical images are easy to copy over the Internet. In every case, CFG contacts casino management and requests they either allow CFG auditing services or remove the CFG seal.

As far as hotpepper, Stay away from this place as far as you can:

All on line games produced by Hot Pepper Casino are audited for fairness of play by independent third party gaming expert, Dr. Eliot Jacobson, Ph.D, whose gaming audit and analysis services are available through www.jacobsongaming.com and www.certifiedfairgambling.com. These audits are undertaken on a monthly basis.

They're claiming they're being audited by a place that comes right out and says that they're using the seal without permission?

Why hasn't this casino been rogued yet?

Response

Group,

I continue to audit several casinos on behalf of Certified Fair Gambling, taking over the services originally provided by Michael Shackleford. These audits are conducted monthly. I stand behind each casino I audit for the fairness of its games.

I have never audited the games at Hotpepper; they are using the "Certified Fair Gambling" seal without my permission, as are the other casinos indicated in the notice I posted on my page. Because of this, I have no comment on the fairness of the games at any casino in this list. I made several attempts to contact management of these casinos about this issue. I contacted Michael Shackleford about this issue, and he told me this was an ongoing problem he faced with several on-line casinos.

I am continually looking for casinos that are using the seal without my permission; the list indicated on the Certified Fair Gambling website is current.

With best regards,

Eliot

Why not bring legal action against these casinos that are using your seal, instead of just listing them on your website?

Follow up

Group,

Since the start of this thread, three of the four casinos mentioned on www.certifiedfairgambling.com have removed the CFG seal they had posted without permission. The fourth casino has been shut down completely.

Just to be quite clear, I do not know of any rogue activities at these casinos.

I will continue to monitor unauthorized usage,

With thanks,

--Eliot

The Blackjack Zone is an excellent book for avid BJ players

This is a little off the subject of this thread but I wanted to recommend Mr. and/or Dr.,Prof. Jacobson's(one individual) book to avid blackjack players(and others). Equally entertaining as well as informative particularly in how the author puts the somewhat known but still complicated mathematical concepts relating to all aspects of blackjack in a very easy to understand but factual presentation. I was able to grasp the entire book and if I can, anybody can. Most importantly, the book increased my knowledge of the "risk of ruin" which is a subject that must be mastered in order to have a chance at being a sucessful long term gambler.

Thanks Slugo

This is scary information. I just wish these casinos would be upfront about any problems paying. But, of course, they would lose a lot of business. Your right about our government. I feel so frustrated over this law. If I want to throw my money out the window or burn it, or eat it, I feel that"s my right. There must be something illegal in this law. Need to do some in depth research. Thanks Again;)

That is a good idea about contacting the casino before depositing. How longdid it take hot pepper to pay you? Did they pay by check? On there website that seems to be the only option available.

Elizabeth, I played and cashed out at Hot Pepper before this financial goo hit the fan. I used NETeller. First cash out took about a week. The next time it was faster.

I have no idea how long it would take to get a check, nor do I have any idea as to whether that check might bounce. (Various different casinos have been bouncing checks lately -- not due to financial difficulties but due to their own payment processors declining to process payments to USA accounts.)

Please contact them directly (if you can reach them by phone) to get this sorted. They may possibly have been caught in a bind if their processor bailed out unexpectedly.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

What company operates Hot Pepper casino? I don't see them anywhere on:

Outdated URL (Invalid)

Powered by Odds On-Vegas Technology - there was talk that this was owned by the English Harbour group when it launched some time back (around 2005, I think)

I've been wondering what the deal was with Hot Pepper Casino for some time now.

I've enjoyed playing at their casino and have made a couple of (very) small deposits there in the past.

Once upon a time, I did check out their site to see what their audit stats look like. I was surprised to discover that they didn't publish any at that time. I'd guess that they still don't.

I've never had a cash out there so I can't comment on how long it takes to get payment from them. With this new climate of US players having so much trouble depositing and withdrawing, past experience with a casino doesn't matter much anymore.

Hot Pepper sends frequent promo emails and they have kind of a running commentary in some of them about "Cameron" and his efforts to establish his casino.

It sounds to me like they are an independent casino and seeking to ally with a group of others if it is mutually beneficial.

Does anyone out there have more concrete info on them? If so, I'd sure like to know.

Hot Pepper is a fun casino. I like going back to them the next day and finding more cash to play on after I have lost my initial investment. They advertise 5x's and 10x's the bonus points fairly frequently and you get it right away (the next day) to play with. Other casinos make you accumulate a zillion points before you can cash them out for just a few bucks.

Their machines allow for small wagers. So, if you're like me and gamble with little bankroll, you can play for a long, long, time.

They have always responded to my emails quickly, and they give me a feeling of having a "personal touch" to their promos and correspondances that I have not felt with the larger casinos. Plus, "Cameron" has promised me another 100% match bonus on my next deposit! I'd sure like to take him up on that IF I can deposit and withdraw!

This weekend I was very frustrated not being able to deposit at Wild Jack's with my pre-paid Netspend visa. They told me to keep trying as they use various processors. They said some allow US transactions to go through and some don't. I found that answer to be very strange. I tried about 10 times and nothing ever went through. I finally gave up. It went through OK at Hype; so, I gambled there instead.

If it weren't for Casinomeister (you rock), I wouldn't have a clue what's going on with all this US gambling BS.

Happy President's Day. I'm looking forward to having a new President soon. Maybe one who will reverse all these gambling laws.

Does anyone know if any of the potential candidates are stating their position on all of this?

Scounsler, I deposit at hot pepper with my prepaid netspend card and it works fine. Maany casinos that I have tried to deposit at won't go through with my card. I also bet very small amounts and really enjoy hot pepper too. Their customer service is better than most, but my withdrawals have been sitting in my account for over 2 weeks. They use virtual exchange for processing payments. I have contacted them and they are helpful. However you never really know if your getting the run around these days.

A Casino that is using Odds On software and with relations to English Harbour.

At least two months they were using cheating software while they were planning to develop a very mysterious Video Poker Double-up Slots feature where the frequency of each card were weighted.

Group,

I run an independent auditing service for online casinos: www.certifiedfairgambling.com . I took over this auditing business in June of 2006, with the blessings of Michael Shackleford (the "Wizard of Odds"), who previously ran this auditing service. At the time I took over, there was an issue with the doubling feature on certain games in the English Harbour group, as noted and discussed.

As the auditor for English Harbour casino group, I have examined their log files at each of their casinos for every game for every month since taking over these duties in June of 2006. My services are completely independent and exceedingly thorough.

The "Certified Fair Gambling" seal is given to the English Harbour casino group to post on their website to signify that they are willing participants in these audits, that they are committed to fairness, and finally, that their games are fair.

With best regards,

Eliot

Then why was it posted earlier in the thread that Hot Pepper casino was using this seal without permission?

The "English Harbour" group includes the following casinos subject to monthly audits to maintain the "Certified Fair Gambling" seal:

English Harbour Casino (US, UK, EUR)
Millionaire Casino
SuperSlots Casino
Caribbean Gold Casino
Silver Dollar Casino
All Poker Casino

Hotpepper is licensed to use the same software as these casinos, but is under separate management and is not subject to monthly audits by CFG. I hope this is sufficient to address your concern about Hotpepper.

Thanks for the clarification. This in itself raises a red flag with me. It definitely doesn't prove that the software has a "lose" switch that management can turn off/on at will.
