Yeah I noticed the price dropping on bf so waited about another 10 mins, then cashed out for £1640. Put 40 back on it just in case. Withdrew £1500, played a bit on book of ra and its clones, and withdrew another £400!

Just about to look at todays racing & see if I can do my usual, oh its Saturday, lets pick 8 horses and get 1 placed (on a good day!) :D

A little mention for Devil's Cowboy in the 1.55. 33/1 is too high for this one. Both its Sire and Dam did nothing on their first races, but improved and won second time out over this distance. The Sire (Helmet) was extremely high class in Australia. It's well bred, and I certainly wouldn't be laying it at high prices if I were a bookie. Not sure what I will do on it, but thinking £10 at 7.8 in the place market at betfair, and a £2-3 win at 44 just in case. Not saying it will win or place, as I have no idea how its came on for its first run, but I think its probably double the price it should be.
 
There is so much good racing today that I have had to control myself with my betting. After a good week on the gee gees last night produced 3 late none runners and a winner in my yankee :mad:

Well done and good luck with the others. My amazing run of luck continues at Coral.
Deposited £30 on Thursday for a £20 treble, and a £10 SFC. They returned £696. Withdrew £600, left £96 to play with. Couple of losing bets were followed by a £10 trio in the 9.10 at hamilton, resulted in another £700 withdrawal. Won on pretty much every slot I played on after that, ended up withdrawing £4000 in total, £2400 to bank and £1600 in store. Left myself about £50, lost £30 on book of ra last night and before I went to bed, stuck a 'daft' 4 fold on for todays racing with the £23 odd I had left. I actually though the first lost, but just logged in my account and saw I hadn't remembered the first horse correctly and got this!

Going to withdraw £3200, so that will be £7200 from a £30 deposit. I think this is my best 2 days gambling I've ever had now. :eek:

As well as waiting for the full yankee to come good I also have 2 out of 3 at Newcastle. I don't bet as big as you do on the horses but I do love the gee gees.

thanks, I was waiting for natural selection in that race for about £500, thought it was going to win 1.5f out, but couldn't get past the winner, I thought yours was the winner 3f out too :(

Nice Peter Bowen double this afternoon, wonder how quickly MrGreen limit my account, the smaller bet was sent to traders before it was accepted (originally tried a £50 double but had to split it) think it was only my 10th bet there or so.
 
Some winners in this thread....... great picking from both the Colin's. I watch this thread closely but usually have my own bets all done and dusted by the time I read it, and I am definitely not going to get anywhere near the success that you two get, but I sure as hell hope it continues for both of you for a long time as I love to see the bookies paying out.

Great hit Colin.
Having been a punter and also worked for Boyles for quite a few years it is very sad that a so called smallish bet goes to those traders but you must have a winning account with them and remember your not allowed to do that lol.
They want you to bet online as they can keep an eye on you but when they are turning away small enough bets then that is the time to make sure you have plenty more accounts and spread your bets around the high street bookies.
Have seen plenty of crap in my time working for them and when i was punting seriously it was at the stage where i tried to get a 50 bet on and they would cut it to a fiver.Just stay ahead of them buddy and keep winning.

Yes I'm pretty careful where I put bets on, especially if its info as I don't want my accounts closing / limiting. My account with MrGreen isn't a winning one, most my sports bets have lost, not that many, but losers all the same (well not now!). I used to do 90% of my betting at betfair, but its not worth it now I have to pay the premium charge, I have a second account I can use but have to be extremely careful with it, betfair are extremely good at spotting people using second accounts! If you look back through the thread I do do some bets in store, but its always a trade off as you don't get BOG so risk losing out at the prices, plus sometimes I know the price is going to collapse, and if I get the info at say 11pm, I have to bet online or lose the price. In those cases I usually spread my bets round, if I want £50 on I'll do a fiver at 10 bookies instead of the £50 at 1, even if it means a slightly lower return due to prices being slightly different.

Simply because I didn't want any accounts closing or limiting, whereas wasn't bothered about MrGreen. Not that they have processed the withdraw yet, usually get them done in under 30 mins, 4 hours later still waiting grrrr :). They were actually best price too. I also had a £80 in my account from a £20ish deposit that I won on slots so saved depositing anywhere else.

haha you're not, most my bets are 50p EW lucky 15's or £1 yankees, just every now and then I get a bit of info and if I have spare cash will pop a larger bet on.
 
One for the note book called Music box trained by Aiden O'b.

Has had two recent runs and both times given a pig of a ride.A good friend of mine had a huge bet on this horse the last twice and told me several big hitters had the fingers burnt.
Is declared again to run on the 8th.
Can't see it running 3 races in such a short space of time but if it does ill be playing.

No tip and i have not managed to get hold of my mate to see if he is on or not so tread careful if your backing it.

Thanks for the tip. I am not too taken by todays cards so although I did very well yesterday on the gee gees I'm not going to go mad today. (and I lost more on the slots yesterday than I won on the horses :( )

It could be worse, you could have done the tricast, watching the race, over the moon that you had just won a grand, 20 mins later wondered why it hadn't been settled, checked your bet and realised you put the first 2 on the bet in the wrong order :mad::eek:

I'm pleased I didn't take Wadswick because your reasoning for it would have convinced me :D

A few months ago I posted that I had taken Jacob Reece Mogg to become next Tory leader at 50/1. He has now gone down to 10/1 despite him giving no indication that he would take the job on. I'm confident that he will get the gig :thumbsup:

yeah I lost a ton on it :( didn't go down without a fight and it was backed from 7/2 into 6/4 so obviously others liked it, I'll recover the money next time it runs :)
Lime Street in the 8.35 tonight, same trainer/jockey and comments, haven't heard anything from the stable but have a few quid on it in case ;)

I best not mention much about my money was on Terry the Fish in that race.. Honestly :D

I am shooting off a letter of complaint to ITV because I think they should make more use of their Horse racing time. Today sees 4 races live from Newmarket between 1:50 and 3:35 pm . Why do they not show a few other races in between those races from Newmarket like the 5:20,8:05 and 8:40 at Newbury today where I have an each way treble on ? :(
