Good luck today Col, see we have gone for a couple of the same selections, which usually spells disaster :(

In the 2.40 at Kemptom, Nick Williams has had 3 winners from 6 runners in this race in the past 10 years. He's running Dentley De Mee and Man From Mars today and I prefer the 66/1 shot Man from Mars. Harry Cobden isn't riding too badly at the moment and although Lizzie Kelly would be the stables preferred jockey, I don't think she could do the weight, so not reading too much into the jockey bookings. The fact they are going for this race as the first one of the season suggests to me the stable have been protecting his mark, so definately worth a small each way bet. /waits for Dentley to win by 50 lengths now/

12.40 at Warwick. The money for Destined to Shine is interesting but I'm sticking with With Pleasure for an each way bet at 8/1.

2.25W Kris Spin EW

In the 2.50W Slanelough should like this slower ground better than when he came second last time out. Will add him to make an EW Lucky 15 with the ones above.

Not really had time to look at racing the last couple of weeks, but 2.45Navan, Cadmium has a chance, they do think he will come on for the run, but aren't ruling out a win today. Minella Daddy is expected to run well in the 3.00 at Ascot, however the 3 non runners means the place terms are now only 1st and 2nd, so was going to do an EW double with the 2 I've mentioned, but not having a bet now :(. So if anyone wants a bet, stick a win double on them so I can sit there fuming later when they both win and I didn't back them :D

Also like Reverent Cust in the 12.55 (about to go off)

Fantastic cards at Leopardstown today and tomorrow, possible the best I've seen outside of Cheltenham for years! Possibly not the best for betting purposes but the racing should be good to watch. Having said that going to do a yankee today

No time really to do anything today, but in the Betfair hurdle at 3.35, I think if the race was ran 20 times, you could quite easily have a different result everytime, so not the easiest race to pick. I do really like Kayf Grace as having a really good chance of winning and doing a small FC with Lalor.

Only bet for me today is a £25 EW on Link Removed (Old/Invalid) at 28/1 with Skybet (paying 5 places)
Could easily get a top 5 finish in this race.

Clear Skies in the 3.15 is AOB's first AW runner in the UK for 16 years, so that in itself should be a hint.
3.00 Kempton - Shoal Bay is fancied by the stable for a place at least (around 14-1)
I also like Baywing in the 2.45 but decided to only have one bet (I can guess which will win of course!)
Cadmium should win the Fairyhouse beginners chase, but at 4/7 isn't for me.

Luckily yesterday I decided to stick a small bet on the Irish racing alongside my big bets on the TV racing. My bigger bets bombed but the Irish Yankee paid off at about 45/1.About the check out todays cards :)

Well done, I don't usually bet this close to Cheltenham but was convinced Portrait King would get a place at least, so happy with the £190 I got back from it.

I've actually got a big bet on for the first day of Cheltenham, which is pretty much the first time I've put a big ante post bet on. Faugheen is the obvious fly in the ointment after his last couple of runs, but after he drifted out to 7/1 after his last run, he's back into 5's, which tallys with reports I've heard that he is training better at home than he was. I'm half hoping they don't run him though as the other 3 will still pay £1274 if they all won and he didn't run. Although Buveur D'Air is clearly a good horse, I think he prefers smaller fields, and most the races he has run in have been between 3 & 5 runners, and when he has been beaten its been in larger fields. I wouldn't be backing him at 4/9.

Well today's been a weird day - good weird though!
I started by cashing out on a couple of bets, both football and a yankee, plus a winning treble, giving me about £900 profit in total.

I almost didn't cashout the yankee, but £200ish was enough, especially as one of the horses I really wasn't that keen on, plus, I also had a £4.50 EW four fold on them, which would pay £4000 if the last 2 won. That decision cost me £2k :(

However, it almost didn't. I had noticed there was a little money overnight on Sean Bowen's 4 rides this afternoon, so did a £1 yankee, and £4.50 EW accumulator (to make a straight £20).

The first 3 won, and I could have cashed out for £1500, and almost clicked the button a dozen times during the hour between the last 2 races, but I just thought stuff it, I'll leave it.

Watching the race on my phone later as I had had to go out, gutted that Sean got beat in his final race by a short head, after leading most the way, and looking like winning all the way to the line. But, shit happens, had around £100 to come from the place part anyway, so put me at £1k profit for the day.

How shocked was I when I went to put a football bet on for later and saw my balance at over £6100.....there was a stewards inquiry and the result was reversed!

So in a way, sick I cashed out the yankee, but over the moon the result was changed!

I'm not going to be able to watch this weeks Cheltenham so I have opted to gain some pin money with these short priced Faves tomorrow.

As you know from my ante post bet I'll be cheering 3 of them on but hoping Faugheen beats Buveur D'Air, although I must say I'm not confident. I'm going to be putting a EW Lucky 15 on tomorrow when I go through the cards as I'm sure the ground will throw up some surprises at big prices. Good luck tomorrow mate, and if my bet loses, hopefully yours is the one to beat it :)

I did look at the each way yankee options but tomorrows a bit sparse on that front. You got better anti post prices too so good luck :)
 
Here's my penny's worth for today's Cheltenham.
Shame the ground conditions are the way they are as results could be funny.

1.30 Mengli Khan 16/1 25euro ew with PP and also backed it earlier at 12/1.Would prefer better ground but im sticking to my guns and hoping for a place at worse.

3.30 Faugheen 6/1 Outstanding price and i do not think Mullins would run the horse if he was not a1.

4.10.Jer's Girl 12/1 Had only 10 ew on her but should run a good race against a hot pot fav.

5.30 Any Second Now Had backed this one a while ago at 12/1 for small money.Been running in good races and has to be there at the end.

Have shoved the 4 into a 2ew lucky 15 also so finger's crossed.

I'm convinced the price is wrong on Faugheen, I wouldn't have it as favourite after its last run, but I certainly wouldn't want to lay it at 11/2 either. I would probably price the first 2 in market up as 4/5 & 5/2. This was the target all along and the last race shouldn't be taken at face value. It's training really well at home, and the stable think it has a very good chance. I would be amazed if it isn't shorter at the off, probably closer to 4/1 unless theres something bad we don't know about.

In the 5.30 I know the stable are pretty confident Testify will go close, but also heard the Tycoon Prince stable fancy that, so will do a RFC on them just in case. I may have a win bet on Testify too depending on how the earlier bets go.

Away from Cheltenham, watch out for gambles that often happen when everyones focus is elsewhere, but before I see any market moves, I've done a £20 treble on

Did it last year and got a 40/1 winner so you never know :D

If you go into your offers on betvictor you might find a bet £10 today at cheltenham and get a £5 free bet the next three days which is ok :)

I would need to see the whole bet but you have done any jockey to beat Davy Russel (who must come 2nd). I don't know if it's a daily challenge or whole festival one?
 
Actually, if its at hills (just had a look about) it has to be any jockey not named in the betting to beat him, and its a daily one so far, scores so far are

I'm not keen on Buveur D'Air in this, he could quite easily win by half the track but I still like Faugheen.

Only thing I've got right so far is Faugheen being a shorter price at the off haha.

I picked 3 horses in the last race, 1st, 2nd and the one I backed came just about last grrr.

Plenty of races left for the jockey forecast, any other is joint first at the moment and if Yorkhill gets a place in this race you are still in with a chance ;)

If it is EW then as long as the others get placed you will still get a win.

Just stuck £25 EW on Shantou Flyer for the Gold Cup on Friday. Trainer says if he's ok in the morning he will run, its non runner no bet, so if he doesn't, money back, if he does then he will probably be 25-1 max, so will be an opportunity to lay the bet at worst.

Good luck with your last one @amourgirl, I've got my forecast in that race :)
