High Variance, but fair playtech slot?

Is there such a thing? I'm thinking about depositing around £40 into a playtech casino tonight (paddypower most likely) and wondering what slot i should play? I'm thinking 60p spins but fed up with 10-50x wins. I want a slot that can kick out a serious win but is fair at the same time.

Any recommendations?

I would search but i prefer updated opinions on this if possible

60p spins on a high variance slot could all be over in 5 minutes unless you get real lucky.

I don't think you could do Great Blue, Rome & Glory, Iron Man 2 or the other HV games on that bankroll to be honest. Unless you got lucky.

One other option might be to go for a game to build the bankroll up a bit (Hulk, Fantastic 4, Gladiator or Iron Man 1) and when you double your money, cross your fingers and head to an HV game.

Great Blue is a good high variance playtech game.
Penguin Vacation and Irish Luck are more ore less the same.

But mind you, with a 40.- startingbalance and 0.50 spins you must be VERY lucky to even trigger free spins on any of those.
A bust out in 15 minutes or less is more likely.
High variance has a price you know..

But I wish you the best of luck if you try! You never know!:D

edit: Simmo already said when I was typing..

Yeah that's a good game. But it's another HV (plays like Book Of Ra) and is a 15-line version of Rome & Glory or Captain's Treasure Pro, effectively.

Appreciate all the replies. I'm looking for a few hours play time really, so a HV game at 60p spins doesn't seem to viable then.

What would be a good bankroll for say, great blue playing 60p spins? £100?

Simmo( or anyone) what's your best recommendation to double a £40 bankroll playing play tech? Sorry for the questions, not played at a play tech casino before. Hardcore netent fan trying to explore the other options

If it were me, I'd go to a low/medium variance slot like Gladiator, Iron Man or The Hulk. Then I'd do 50 spins at 20p/25p, if i didn't get a bonus after 50, I'd up the bet to 40/50p for 100 spins then if no joy, play at 60/75p til I was busted. If I got the bonus, I'd go back down to 20/25p and start over, or go to the another game.

Another slot that it might work on is Desert Treasure 1 at 60p a spin but I'd probably get out at £60 unless it was feeling especially good. It's Low Variance though.

CaptureKing mentioned Panther Moon. Thats a good slot but a bit like Dolphin's Pearl/Lucky Ladys Charm (Novomatic) in that its HV and hard to trigger the feature but when you do, retriggers are quite common so it pays well. Risky but rewarding!

I quite like Penguin Vacation, not all the payout is tied up in the free spins, so you can have hits that keep you playing (stacked wilds). I'd start with 40 cents maybe, do or die.

Diamond Valley Pro is one I like as well... pick the right multiplier for 10x during free spins.

I've had good luck on Discovery.

Hulk is quite a fun game... try 15 lines @ 2 cents to up the variance a little and keep you playing.

I love Vacation Station, but it's not everyone's cuppa. I'd be placing $1.20 bets on that game, and would likely be able to play for a bit.

Great Blue can have wonderous payouts during the bonus round, but it's quite hard to hit and not many decent hits in base game to keep you spinning.

I like the a lot of Playtech slots, and the ones that give me the most playtime, and big wins so far are:
Silent Samurai (classic, not the funkiest slot but can dish out some huge hits in free-spins, if the multiplier is high)
Monthy Python's slot, can suck it really fast, but mostly you'll notice early if it's in a good mood: however the big wins come from big bets, or the jackpot. so i would save this for later.
Great Blue (all time favorite) but indeed when in "angry mode", will eat you like a one minute snack
Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven, does very well without features, in terms of playtime (for me)
Ironman (the original) very cool base game hits, and good feature, had huge sessions on that.

When i have your bankroll, i start with Silent Samurai, maybe 0.18 or 0.36, hope for a good freespin round with big multiplier, then when i have i switch to one of the other and try to repeat.

Decided to only chuck £20 into paddy power. Will give most of the games here a go hopefully that have been suggested.

My first choice was caputreking's suggestion and 3 spins in playing 30p bets, hit the feature :D

Great Start, want to up my bets soon. Looking for that 80-100 roll.

I may be up for that, but no webcam here tonight. I use to live stream gaming (CoD, WoW, CSS if they mean anything to you) when i was into all that, good fun.

I decided to go over to Gladiator, paddy power only has the jack pot version so i expected it to be tighter than the standard, i was right. Sucked £55 of my roll at 50p bets in under 15 minutes. Not a sniff of anything, staying clear of that one.

Ive done the gaming thing, and gladiator both versions have always been horrible to me.
