hello to all,
this is my first post. my english is not perfect so please forgive me if i make mistakes. and if you reply please use simple words and try to avoid slang expressions as i learned oxford english at school lol. :)
I am a big fan of online gambling. I like poker, blackjack tournaments and casino games like blackjack, caribbean poker, video slots, video poker.
Some weeks ago i was very lucky. I deposited 25 euros at an online casino and i got a huge 500 % bonus. I played deuces wild videopoker and of course i hoped that i would win a little.:D
after a while (maybe after 50 hands) i hit a natural royal flush which paid 4000 :p. I bet 0,25 x 5 a hand. So i won 1000 euros by the royal flush. then i had a little more than a 1000 euros in my account. so i thought i could make bigger bets and i bet 0,5 x 5 a hand. after a while (maybe after some hundreds of hands) i hit a natural royal flush again :). wow. this time i won 2000 euros. now i had about 3000 euros in my account. well, to make it short when i had cleared the bonus by playing deuces wild i had about 2500 euros and so i had won about 2500 euros. now who is good at math? please tell me this:
- how likely is it that this happens? I mean what are the odds of hitting two natural royal flushs when you play lets say 500 hands of deuces wild? the software was boss media by the way.
- does it make sense to go on playing deuces wild or even videopoker or even to gamble now? I mean i was extremely lucky so maybe i will have a lot of bad luck in the future because that would be justice? ;)

Hello gamblingmace, welcome to the forum!

The probability of hitting a natural royal flush in deuces wild is about 0.000022% so to get it once is extremely lucky but then to get it again after only about 500 hands is incredibly lucky indeed.

If this happened to me i would withdraw straight away and enjoy my winnings as this is definitely not going to happen on a regular basis and it would be a shame to just play it back. :)

thank you for saying welcome. and you are right about this: "The probability of hitting a natural royal flush in deuces wild is about 0.000022%".
But what is the probability of hitting two natural royal flushs in about 500 hands of deuces wild? who can figure that out? I cant do so as i dont know much about math.

The probability of hitting a natural royal flush in deuces wild is about 0.000022% so to get it once is extremely lucky but then to get it again after only about 500 hands is incredibly lucky indeed.
According to the Wizard, the probability is 0.000022, not 0.000022%.
i.e. it's 0.0022%, or one in 45,454 hands

I could be wrong, but I think that means:-
Chances of 1 RF in 500 hands = One in 90.9
Chances of 2 RF in 500 hands = One in 8,264

gamblingmace; Whether that's right or wrong one thing is certain - you have been incredibly lucky!
Most people never see even one Royal Flush in their lifetimes.
Please don't waste your winnings chasing another RF - take your money & enjoy it in other ways.

Well done! :notworthy

If it feels good...do it!

Hi there! Your english is real good....I mean, compared to my husbands:eek2:

I've considered your question & it was really just too deep for me at this time of the morning...so, I say, "If it feels good, do it"

The Best of Luck to you!!

thank you folks. yes, one in 8264 may be correct, kasinoking (slotaholic lol :))
so i was really extremely lucky. and no, i dont chase another royal flush. i have already withdrawn most of my winnings. when i did so i felt a little sorry for the owner of the casino. it must have hurt him to lose 2500 euros as the casino seems to be a rather small one. i hope they survive that. on the other hand when a player loses all of his money the owner of the casino probably doesnt pity him, does he? ;)

sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. thats life. :)

btw i hit a royal flush several times so far. when playing texas hold 'em poker i hit it three times and i hit it four times playing videopoker. so it looks like i am a lucky guy.

thank you for praising my english. a lot of people have told me that it is real good. once a guy from england said my english is better than his lol. :)
