Question Having a little agument with my son concerning Bet365

Now I only play the slots on there and have never had issues well other than I tend to loose than win, but aint all casino's like that?

But anyway, I suggested he play the poker games on there since I have no problems with the slots on there

Anyhooo he reckons, that half the tables are running botts. Im not really sure what bots are but he said after putting $100 in and watching and playing on certain tables. Hes sure of it.

Does anyone know if this is true? Just curious

I think that is highly unlikely - but it depends on how good their bot detection methods are.
Bet365 are a HUGE company and would not risk getting caught cheating at anything, so if there are any bots, it's a safe bet that the company has nothing to do with operating them.

I agree, although it doesn't help the players if their bot detectors aren't working.

I loved playing online poker but I gave up two years ago when I found out that a friend of mine was playing with a few friends of his and they were IMing with each other whilst playing.

It really put me off after that.

I used to play quite a bit of Poker myself and find that the best thing is just to play in open tournaments as then your opponents will be chosen randomly. If you just join a table that is where you will find these cheats.

You think bet365 - a business generating billions in turnover - has anything to gain from running a few bots on a product that probably makes them about 2% of their total annual revenue? Trust me, Poker is the ginger step child of bet365 and they wouldn't waste the time building the software to run the bots, let alone make enough money from it to justify the risk to their insanely profitable, squeaky clean reputation.

I can confirm their is bot's on bet365, Maybe not from the site itself of course but their are people who run a bot on there.

i dont know how the bots work...would of thought that manual playing and skyping with a group would be the think..
i have my suspicions about playing online poker... the game itself is not rigged.. (depending the site your on) remember the full tilt fiasco.. in which i was cought up in and lost abit of money.

but every online poker site ive played at have some sort of rigged deck to force bigger bets..to make more money from the rake.

the poker site dont care what player gets the pot.. the higher the rake the higher they make.

unless you dont mind losing money.. i wouldnt play poker.
online poker players all play a very tedious game and fold every set of cards thats not a guranteed win.

Bots can be identified with a hand history looking at statistics and weird betting patern.
I really wish you son plays with HEM and is not talking about bots because he played a hand badly and got called with K high and lost lol...

You can actually take advantage of a bot... Poker is not an easy game anymore... Good luck to your son

I am sorry but I completely disagree.
Good online poker players are more likely to be super aggresive in their play and cause you a nightmare on every action you get to do.
They will adapt and make you rethink every decision. In other words... if you play without HEM, without help from the poker community,
without thinking and reviewing your sessions and your stats.... without studying good opponents... you will get crushed really really bad...

There is variance obviously.
Online poker is not rigged... players are getting better and better everyday...

How can you get better.... : strategy, questionning yourself, learning to deal with variance, listening to players that crushed you and accept to discuss a hand with you.... its like any sport or discipline...

If the rake and/or hands are rigged to make you bet more... to receive more rake like you say.... then its the same for every player...
So in the end... after a couple million hands... the result is the same... more variance... same result....

Online poker cause mental illness IMO.... not easy to win in the long run... not easy to realize you suck...
