Haunted Christmas Toy?

David has this Christmas "Novelty", I guess is what it is. It looks like a TV but has a Christmas scene in the screen. It plays two tunes, I think.

Anyway, it is still out on the table. The last few nights, I have been hearing this "beep ,beep, beep" every so often. I'm thinking it's the smoke detector.

Every few hours, "beep, beep"... Waking me up!

Well, yesterday I happen to be in the same room as it and realized that thing is making that blasted "BEEP"... but it doesn't stop there... it then says "Low battery"

I tell David when he gets home. He checks it out, takes the batteries OUT, then says it is nice that it has a warning for low battery. Sure!

So, no battery at all, you'd think the problem, the noise, my irritation, has been fixed.

Not so, the damn thing is STILL doing it.

I check the on/off switch, I look in the battery compartment.... Off and empty battery compartment!

And just now... "Beep, Low battery"

I'm going to put it under his side of the bed!

Well if you squint really hard the windows look like eyes and the gap underneath like a mouth, in a sort of Flat Eric kinda way

Must have a small back up battery, like computer's use to keep the clock and memory functioning when switched off, just to be able to warn you about the low battery.

Put a foil hat over it.....

Put it beside you when playing bonanza. Its either going out the window or against the wall

Yeah, these poxy gadgets that take batteries are a pain. The times my wife's battery operated gadgets have got me looking for my phone thinking it was on silent/vibrate mode!!
