It looks as though what I have been saying for the past couple of years now about Harrah's going live online is starting to come to fruition as you can see in the pic below.

This is the new Caesars Online Casino website for their new online casino. Their website currently re-directs back to their hotel casino site, but not for too much longer! ;) We can hope as US players.

EDIT: I should have added the fact that players from the USA will be re-directed to their hotel site as others can in fact access the casino now!

Oooo, very interesting.

So what type of software is it Rob and we would be safe to say we will be safe betting with these guys, who would they be licenced under?

I just pulled this info from another website and it looks like no US or Germany can access there casino so looks like the meister is screwed then.

.......................................................................................................

For those online casino players who long waited for the contribution from Harrahs Entertainment, the time has come. They are finally introducing Caesars Palace Casino online.

Dragonfish casino software-powered Caesers Palace Casino provides an extensive range of games including Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Craps, Roulette, Caribbean Poker, and Blackjack. The most popular gaming brand has contributed to the new casino an appearance and atmosphere of ancient Rome, along with the theme of its Vegas land-based Casino.

For a limited time new players at Caesars Palace Casino are able to receive a massive ?500 matched bonus on their initial deposit, and there are more promotions and bonus offers following the welcome bonus. Their VIP program is also one of the features that players can take advantage of.

Because of the legal restraints at the moment, players from the US or Germany are not accepted to access Caesars online casino.

Here you go Same_Old, CAESARS Casino Online is powered by Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Limited, 601-701 Europort, Gibraltar.

There's a report on this 'soft launch' on the latest Casinomeister News.

Dragonfish/888 have advised that for people in 'restricted' markets the new site will simply redirect to the main Harrah's website (a 'playing it safe' legal move I guess).

The site is owned by Harrah's Interactive, the new subsidiary of the famous group that has been created to handle online ventures headed by ex-Party Gaming chief Mitch Garber and based in Montreal.

There was initially some confusion due to the wording on the launch but that has since been cleared up and the title of the online operation confirmed as Caesars Casino Online.

I believe this to be an exciting development, especially if you live in Europe and can access the site; it's nice to see one of the US giants back online after the demise years ago of tentative Internet ventures like MGS Mirage's brief sally into the sector.

I agree and also any of the USA players that want to access the site just to browse around can do so by use of a proxy browser such as TOR or JAP/JonDos ;)

I signed up a test account and played here last week it's purely for UK customers right now. It's 888 in Caesars branding, although it does have the Cleopatra slot (not sure if 888 does) on licence from Wagerworks/IGT.

Other than that the only games that resemble games you find in Vegas are table games.

Theres pros and cons to this deal. Among the pros are that a B&M is not only coming online, but also that it recognises the need to work with someone who knows the space well. Love 'em or hate 'em, 888 have plenty of experience and the joint-enterprise makes good sense for both land-based and online industries.

The main cons IMO are the lack of games that are recognisable from the floors of B&M's - a licensing deal with IGT/Wagerworks might mean more IGT slots in time though. The other con is cashouts. Are customers used to playing in B&M's really going to want to wait 72 hours (48 of that spent in reverse) for a cashout?

Cheers

Simmo!

When heard Caesars was online I panicked thinking they were accepting U.S players. I dove into research drive chugged a few pots of coffee then it hit me. They are not accepting U.S players. Needless to say I will be having my eyes tested this week might explain the headaches I been having lately lol.

Anyway this is exciting news a small step in the right direction. If I understand correctly Caesers Palace Casino is only accepting players from the U.K. a regulated market to some extent.

So if and when the U.S regulates Online Gambling they will be ready to jump in. This might explain why so many countries are restricted access. A smart move IMO if this is the case.

For affiliates who have difficulties accessing the site there are plenty of methods as RobWin suggested.

TOR or JAP/JonDos

Good stuff!

I cant access the site from here in Australia.

You know, it just doesnt make sense why certain providers ban Aussie players even if they do have some kind of connection to interests over here, as from my reading of the applicable Act it is very specific about what constitutes 'providing an online gambling service' etc etc. It is also interesting to note that no charges under the Act have been laid since its enactment in 2001.

I mean, Dogboy is in Sydney and has design connections with RTG, and yet RTG will allow Australians. Weird.

Anyway, I guess its one less place to lose my shirt :D

There was talk about Harrah's intent to enter the online market for years. I'm sure all the proper steps were put in place prior to this launch.

Of course they would only allow access to countries with legal and regulated markets. The fact that they are launching now could be a good sign of what U.S. players have been praying for.

Hopefully the board members at Harrah's know something about the future we don't with the U.S. legislation that could be on it's way. (hmmmm Barney Frank speaking at W.S.O.P. at Vegas, $$$$)

Then again maybe they just want a piece of the present multi-billion dollar market, with only hopes the U.S. get legalized. But if we do (U.S.) they would have a jump in a big way on future big name competitors that would be lagging into the new market.

I also think before they invest in bringing to online the software similar to their land based casinos, they would want the U.S. dollars legally there first.

correct me if I'm wrong please [because this could shed some clarity at the corporate level]

but i thought if a body resides [in this case caesars /hurrahs ,] with in
the united states that there supposed to follow the law of the land

so at the corporate level aren't they going against the law [example I'm thinking is no safe haven for Americans to bend or break the law ]

and i know it's a ok thing to do as a individual but at there status ??

certainly looks to me that they know something were not privy to
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ re to 4 of a kind i supose its same as playboy casino i think thats simmalure

RobWin posted that: CAESARS Casino Online is powered by Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Limited, 601-701 Europort, Gibraltar.

I would think that coming out of Gibraltar under Cassava Enterprises is what makes it legal. They are not allowing any markets other then regulated and legal to play on the site. I'm guessing it would be the same as just giving Cassava Enterprises the rights to market their name.

If living in the U.S. whatever is going on certainly is giving us a good feeling.

Try this proxy Link Removed ( Old/Invalid) enter caesarscasino.com go to T&C's section 3

Persons located in certain countries including, but not limited to, the United States of America, Israel and Turkey are neither eligible to open an account with the Company, make any deposits nor use the Services. The Company reserves the right to amend the list of countries from which it will not accept users of the Service from time to time in its sole discretion.

Appears everyone is welcome except players from United States, Israel, and Turkey. But this does not explain why I cannot view from Canada except by via proxy? Someone did mention this was a "soft" launch as in not everything is fully operational yet, a possible explanation?

As previously stated, Caesars is UK Only right now. I spoke to 888 at EGR Live last week and had this confirmed.

Another 888 "white label".

So many players have problems because they have "more than one Cassava powered account", even though when they signed up it appeared they were signing with completely independent casinos that just happened to use the same software.
There is also the tendency for 888 to LIE when they find themselves in a bit of bother. They LIED about Reef Club having any connection to the main brand, yet upon leaving the site the players were treated to a "try our sister casino, Reef Club" exit pop-up. Then there was the "Lucky Ace" farce, more lies from Cassava, this time in an attempt to justify their actions.
There are STILL complaints coming in from players deemed to have "too many accounts across the Cassava brand". Said players might try this new casino, and find themselves unknowingly yet AGAIN with Cassava.
Note the misleading press release, mentioning "Dragonfish software", when they know full well that this is NOT going to be a name familiar with players, whereas say "Cassava", or "888", and almost every player will recognise it.

As for the restricted countries. I expect Harrahs are being extra cautious, since what they are REALLY after is a legalised US market. Testing their product elsewhere will allow them to iron out any problems, enabling them to "hit the ground running" the first day the US allows online casinos to operate. They do NOT want to risk falling foul of ANY other countries' laws, even those where the laws are considered to be indistinct. The UK benefits from a law that specifically makes online gambling legal, rather than a lack of a direct law making it illegal, which is what many countries have at present.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Harras will regret teaming up with 888, sooner or later.

This decision to team up with cassava/888 sure makes me question the honesty of Harras management team. When all casino management looks at is making money and to hell with customer service (and thats what they must have been doing when they choose cassava to team up with)... they got a problem.

I was hoping that when regulation came around we would gain some respectability as an Industry... I guess that is not going to be the case.

(Not to mention that this team of Cassava and Harras does not bode well for the small to mid-sized affiliates... These big boys don't like to share...)

Precisely why Bally's and Caesars dealers in AC went on strike this summer:

The ads criticize the compensation of Harrah's Entertainment chief executive officer and president Gary Loveman, who received $92.3 million in total compensation last year, including $89.1 million in stock options and a $2 million annual salary, as the company cut health and retirement benefits and hours for its dealers.

Simmo, who exactly was the 888 Rep that confirmed that for you? Because I am getting conflicting info from a couple of their aff managers. You can PM me if you don't want to post that info here, but I would appreciate it.

As a player I would classify 888 in the same group as Virtual. Their fequent bonus denial, horrendous forex fees, seizing of funds in accounts dormant for six months and poor quality software makes 888 an horrendous experiencefor the player.

If you guys are advising UK players to get involved with 888 you are doing them a big disservice. Why encourage them to play here when we have good reliable casinos like Virgin/BSQ/VC/Tote/Coral/Lads/WH etc etc?

888 is just a bad experience in a whole bunch of ways.

Just as Las Vegas Sands originally planned post UIGEA. As I recollect, neither I nor Jetset knows whatever became of this plan with the exception that there is no online as such.

I think it's very discouraging that a large company like Harrah's has partnered with someone so disreputable. With their brand ID it would have been smarter to develop their own software.

From what I've gathered in a news article, spent a half-hour looking for it, but cannot find it again, Casears Casino online split-off from the Harrah's group with their own ID.

This from the bottom of their online casino page...

I looked up Entertaining Play Limited and came up with Gamesys. I guess that's the software, right?
