Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays, Merry Chrstmas/Kwanzaa/Yule/Ramadan and all the other holidays coming about. during the festive season.
About a month to the big day a and lot of members will be celebrating then or sooner, and here, on our street in suburbia all the outdoor decos are in full swing (they tend to go big, 10 foot + inflatables, projections etc.)

Some people prefer the day to be a day, others enjoy the whole month of activities (parades, assorted parties) some can't stand the holidays at all.

Is anyone winding up for some special events or trips?

Here it'll be pretty dull. My brother did Christmas big but after his stroke we kind have dialled it back. Mom prefers to work to let others celebrate with their families. I mostly get fat on goodies and chill with the dogs, going for walks and checking out enighbours' displays.

I'm looking forward to some interesting Xmas casino promos for a few days of spinning and hiding indoors (it gets pretty rotten weather wise here in Canada).
Holidays used to be pretty stressful - assorted friend and fam birthdays in December, family and friend parties, the money spent. Though we've all mostly chilled and do a humble gift exhange rather tha an epic event.

How is everyoe else faring? Plans? Hibernating?

Getting into December; hoping to see some of your home decos and trees :)
The cat pissed on mine before he got fixed and the other was a terror climbing them, then there's the dogs and knocking things over, so we just do table top trees, candles, outdoor lights now :p

So, decided to get my mother and brother 'turned yellow' from a summer photo for Xmas; can't say it much looks like her but well, with my brother's stroke and cancer was just happy they have a holiday happy smiling pic and he's a Simpsons fan.

Yup, 95% of the Christmas shopping f*cking wasted done now, can't wait to see the looks on their little faces as they fling the overpriced trash straight onto the fire! And see their faces light up with joy as my joyful act of giving turns to pained ash :(

Still, the real fun starts now. Playing whack-a-mole with the delivery drivers as they inconveniently deliver whilst I'm out. Woo! Merry Christmas!

It can only be in today's age, because it wasn't that long ago when 'The Darkness' had a Christmas no.1 song with Don't Let the Bells End, you know, bought by hundreds of 1000s of people, no doubt old and young alike!

You know, when people didn't have aneurysms over microaggressions. And could take a joke.
