One of our posters is reporting that a player was told Golden Star Network is no longer accepting US players. (Golden Riviera, River Nile, Slots Royale, Miami Paradise)

Has anyone else heard anything?

There is a post on 2+2 about Golden Riv. withdrawals.

I confirmed with a Golden Riveria Poker rep today that they have no methods of cashout due to the restrictions placed by us. They said my money will remain in the account until something breaks loose in which i will have to try to process the withdrawl again.

Its confirmed

Here is a Live Chat conversation I just had at Slots Royale

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Tammy'
Tammy: Welcome to the Casino Support Desk. How can I help you?
Louis: Hello Tammy, I am interested in playing but I wanted to check first if people in Florida can play. I know some US states cant.
Louis: Hello Tammy?
Tammy: Unfortunately we no longer accept players residing in the US
Louis: Oh darn! It didnt say anything on the site, but I figured I better check first rather then download all the software.
Louis: Thanks anyway
Tammy: You are welcome

Thanks for the update.

I just love how casinos make such drastic policy changes before taking 5 minutes out of their busy days to change to update their website. Hype is another example. They STILL do not have updated Neteller information that was made public on Jan 17th.

I agree - this indicates sloppy management.

The managing director posted confirmation today and apologized for the delay in communicating this change to affiliates and players.

As predicted, it's getting harder and harder to find reputable casinos to promote stateside. This is a real shame as I believe workable payment solutions are coming soon and its a huge market to just abandon.

Now I could understand Sportsbooks exiting the states as the laws are fairly clear on their status, but there really isnt justification for this stampede for the doors by Casinos. To my knowledge the only persons arrested up to this point were ALL related to Sportsbetting. Even Neteller was grabbed for funding Sports Bets. I cant see surrender without at least a fight. Why slink away into the night and drop the majority of your business when NO ONE has been arrested or indicted or even tested the law in court? Seems foolish to me.

Frustrating as hell.

Seems like I'm the last to know

No announcement - no nothin'.

At least VPL warned everyone as things began to spiral downward. I'm looking through my emails and no one said diddly squat to me.

They have a casino rep here that is no longer working for their company - my fault for not checking this out earlier. This question should have been answered in a matter of a couple of hours.

I'm suspending their listing in Casinomeister's Accred section until this is sorted.

Their previous affiliate manager Kate is no longer with them. Kerryn has assumed that position and is supposed to be posting an introduction later today at CAP.

Yes, no one received word and it was a major shock to me.

Golden Star group exits USA

GOLDEN STAR GROUP WITHDRAWS FROM U.S. MARKET

Within days of the VPL pull-out, another Microgaming powered group turns its back on U.S. players

Affiliates and players were this week reporting that the Golden Star online gambling group, comprising Golden Riviera, River Nile, Slots Royale and Miami Paradise online casinos has advised players that it is leaving the US online gambling scene.

The move follows a similar decision recently by Vegas Partners Lounge, with which Golden Star has been associated, to withdraw.

Because there was no official notification on the websites, affiliates and players contacted the group's Support Centre where the withdrawal was confirmed.

Presumably email and website notifications are on the way.

Actually, I expect most MGS casinos to discontinue US play within a few weeks. That's my crystal ball working :D So it's not much of a surprise to me.

I'm just a little peeved on how this was handled. Good PR can go a hell of a long way - especially when one is dealing with a bunch of scared and pissed off players.

Yeah, unfortunately I have heard the same thing. I just hope they come to their senses between now and then and stop this madness. American players deserve better. We have been loyal customers and contributed billions of dollars to their bottom line, the least they can do is stick it out with us now until the dark clouds break.

I think they've already come to their senses. It's got nothing to do with the US player deserving solid casinos to play at, it's a question of whether or not you want to go to jail. There is a big difference between the two.

And why should a casino take on US players if it's nearly impossible to pay them?

I think it's time to face the fact that the US player has few if any options left. The US government has sent a clear message to everyone that if they don't like what you do - you're screwed. Even if the dark clouds break, I don't see these casinos coming back.

I'm wondering the same thing, and still waiting on the answer. Why do they keep accepting action from USA players when there are no WD methods in place for them?
I think they (the casinos) are finding these things out as each day goes by. It's a business, and no one wants to shut the doors until it's totally necessary. That's just my take on it.

Yes, but case in point:

There are MG casinos that still have not notified USA players about not being able to withdraw their money. What are they waiting for? The way it is now, uninformed players have no way of knowing this until they try and cashout.

It's a shame that otherwise great casinos are doing this. I would expect it from the Virtual group, not well known respected casinos.

**sniffle** **sniffle** I'll miss MG... really I will. (Not as badly as I miss Global Player, but almost...)

I hadn't thought to ask this earlier... If MG shuts out US players, will we still be able to log in for play mode? Probably not?

How sad...

If they don't do any IP checking, you could sign up for a new play account and give an out of country address. I doubt they'll check it

...But you didn't hear that from me.

For now you can play for free at the gamesandcasino free casino games section. Many of the microgaming games are there. Not sure if they will continue to serve these, but there is really no reason not to.
