Golden Palace buys Shatner's Kidney Stone

Unreal? hardly:

1) Golden Palace pull another dumbass stunt for a five-figure sum.

2) Newspaper reporters get on the phone saying: "Hey, is it true you just pulled another dumbass stunt for a five-figure sum?".

3) Said reporters write articles in their newspapers about how Golden Palace just pulled another dumbass stunt for a five-figure sum.

4) As a result, a whole new bunch of dambasses who thinks that sort of thing is soooooooooooo funny download Golden Palace software, sign up and lose their...dumbasses.

Game, set, match and the contents of many wallets to Golden Palace, who, though cheap, tacky, and the perpetrators of the first and biggest online casino ripoff ever six years ago, are definitely not dumbasses.

OK, sometimes their antics are a litte out of control, but this time there was nothing wrong or controversial with what they did. I mean the money went to charity, GoldenPalace got good publicity, nobody lost here. Why are you jumping down their throats?

Got a point on this one, but nobody can defend them on some of their previous stunts.

Just curious FiftyOnMe....are you defending them because you truly believe that they are an honest, fair, top-notch casino? Or are you defending them because they happen to be the group you are affiliated with and promoting on your site fiftyonme.com? If it's the former, well, to each his own I guess. If it's the latter.... :what:

Please, I'm not defending them naming newborn babies after their website - All I said was that there is nothing wrong with a PR stunt that hurts no-one and profits a charity organization.

I do promote them on my site, and I do feel that they are a great casino considering I've never had a problem with them, and have always been treated well. But what does this really have to do with defending a harmless publicity stunt?

Have you ever actaully played there? What is your gripe? I don't understand..

There have been a number of complaints about slow payments, and back in 2000 Golden Palace confiscated the funds of a number of payments. The headline I would like to see is "Golden Palace pays players screwed in 2000", but it is clearly not as newsworthy as disrupting the Olympics or buying a kidney stone.

LMAO.

He even promotes them.

I think FiftOnMe perhaps misses the main point here - that tacky, repetitive and dumbass publicity seeking stunts by these unsavoury folks continue to grab the attention of the average journo - every time a coconut. It's a pretty sad commentary on our values imo.

Good post Caruso...and I agree with Grand Master that the headline that would really mean something would be one redressing those wrongs and the overbearing arrogance of the GP staff back in 2000.

Well, I'd first like to say that I thought this thread was a discussion. It has nothing to do with my website. The year 2000 was 6 years ago (6 years is over half a decade), and management/employees/tactics can surely change pretty quickly.

There are two discussions going on. As for their PR stunt, I happen to think it was a harmless attempt at some publicity. Can't blame them for trying to be creative. As for how reputable a casino we all think GP is, I have never had any problems there, and many of my closest friends have earned a LOT of money playing there. That's all.

FiftyCent, I'm sorry to say that you've walked into a den of vipers by coming here and promoting Golden Palace. There are too many well seasoned and educated gamblers here to pull that one off. But having said that, you seem like a nice guy, and it would be nice to have you on board as a participant of the forum.... but the promoting of Golden Palace will only bring you grief here.

Well, I thank you for the advice (sincerely). I didn't start this thread, and I wasn't specifically trying to promote Golden Palace - just giving one humble man's opinion :)

The archives here and at WOL are replete with accounts and opinions about this group, including interesting public documents on telephone marketing-related convictions in Canada which presumably took place before they saw the wonderful opportunities presented to their sort of values by the online gambling business. These are all worth a read, especially if you intend to promote them.

Grandmaster rightly highlights one of the really dumbass stunts they pulled - the disruption of an Olympic event, and to me this illustrates their lack of responsibility and total self-interest, as does the other major sports events that they exploited in their streaker phase with little concern for safety or the organisers.

The very serious events of six years ago will not and should not go unremembered, particularly by those who lost significant sums of money to this operator, who as far as I am aware remains the same and has made no attempt to redress past wrongs.
