Ok so i thought i would try a few new casinos today i saw all star slots and
royal flush. Here is my question i would and i have tried to sign up with affiliates through here and their links. My problem comes with this as i get into the casino site from their site i can never download the casino i must go to their home page. When i do that it seems to remove the affiliate from getting me as their sign up person is there a way to get around this. And if you are a affiliate and have these 2 casinos on your site plse let me know and i will go through you.

You can check to see if it stored a cookie on your computer via your web browser...a lot of the time this is how it works and you won't see the affiliate ID in the URL....

Just check your cookies and see if there's one listed for the domain in question...if it's there, then it's being tracked..

Yes bingo that is what i had done as matter of fact there is a casino from when i first joined cm from your site and one from robs. And another from blues when i click those links from your sites and try to click the download i never go anywhere that entails that i must go to their home page and do the download and then that takes it away from the affiliates.

PLAYERS should NEVER have to worry about this, it is the responsibility of the programmers to ensure that tracking works when the player simply does what comes naturally, including browsing around the website before downloading the casino.

There could be a problem with the cookie method though, players could be "lost" simply because they have decent anti-virus and anti-malware software, or always clear out their caches, temporary files, and cookies. The cookie is supposed to store the referrer for the FIRST EVER visit to the site, but this will be lost each time cookies are cleared, leaving a new "first ever visit" cookie on the next visit.
If players have higher security settings in use, the tracking cookie will not even get stored, and no tracking info will be recorded for the download.
I don't believe there is any real way of determining such losses through normal stats available to affiliates, unless one program has a more serious tracking error, making it look clear that there are far too many click throughs recorded for very little in the way of new account openings.

I'm not sure but I think Lauram is assuming that because the link takes her to the actual casino page that the affiliate link is not working, is that correct Lauram?

So say if i was in say bingot site. And found a new casino to join i would click that then it takes me to that casino. I would click download now but 99% of the time that download would not start up. So i would have to then click that casinos home page then download from there. This is how i found out a few of the affiliates never got credit for me joining that casino.

You may have a pop up blocker that is causing you issues with downloading or IE itself will block downloads until you tell it that its ok to download the file.
Someone else should be able to give a more in depth explanation about how cookies should work to give credit to the correct affiliate, but you could have those blocked or emptied out or you already had another affiliates tracks on your computer somehow. Perhaps Winbig would help with a better explanation on the cookies, he is good at that. ;)
