I tried to log-in to Globet MG casino yesterday but just kept getting a "Can not connect to server" error.

So I e-mailed support to ask if there was a problem - and their reply knocked me of my feet!

thank you for your email.

Unfortunately our casino and live casino sections are not available until the end of summer.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Anyone EVER heard of a casino closing for the summer before?

Chartwell Technology Inc. has announced today that Globet International Sports Betting Limited ("Globet") is the latest client to select the Chartwell Games Platform ("CGP") to power its online casino.

Globet was founded in 1995 and is one of the oldest internet betting companies in the UK. It focuses its business activity in Central Europe and in the South of Europe. Globet is an established brand with a client base of over 500,000 customers worldwide and it offers a variety of betting services including casino and games using third party platforms. Globet is currently transitioning its gaming business from Gibraltar to the UK. It will start operations under their UK license in order to facilitate better product management and to increase marketing activities.

"Globet is an excellent addition to our client roster," states Dan Phillips CEO of Chartwell Games (International) Ltd. "Not only are they an established and respected brand with large geographical reach in our core market, but they are returning to us having been a valued client that we supported from 2003 to 2006." Mr. Phillips adds, "It gives us a great boost of confidence when an old customer decides to return, it validates our commitment to our Games Platform and Globet is the second Tier 1 operator to sign with us in the last 5 weeks."

Mr. Enrico Salvatori, Managing Director of Globet states, "The decision to implement the Chartwell casino comes from the fact that the Management group considers this one of the best products in the market and one that suits Globet's business model moving forward."

So why not tell the PLAYERS. What of those who had balances there, and now cannot get at them till the Autumn. They cannot finish any remaining WR. They will also suffer fallout from the gamblers fallacy, since some players might think they were "due" a good run from the MGS casino because it had paid well below theoretical RTP, and will feel that this "due" has been confiscated by the change to new software, where they will have to start again. These players may NOT feel inclined to stay with Globet, and will go elsewhere.

These software changes seem more frequent, but players are rarely told until it has already been done, and they are getting failed connections to the casino they have installed.

Are we sure that Globet didn't tell players?

Any Globet players here to clear that up?
Well I only downloaded the casino & signed-up last month - so why did they allow me to do that if the MG casino was already closed?? :what:

I am also an affiliate for Globet - and I have received NO information about this change.
It's all very bizarre!

Well, they didn't tell KK, he had to ask why he kept getting "cannot connect to server".

Royal Joker, on the other hand, notified players well in advance of the migration to All Slots, and used various channels. I received emails AND letters through the post about it - it would have been hard to miss.

I heard they have closed up shop in Gib....might wanna be careful as rumours are they have gone under (company in Gib with Gaming license)

Now Globet have created an additional problem because of the muddled way they have dealt with this.

Because no-one was notified, and it seems one day everything was normal, and closed the next, it looks like events overtook them "overnight", and this usually means they hit a brick wall financially, and they were forcibly closed down.

Now the rumours have started, and may be based on nothing more than the sudden and unannounced nature of the closure. With nothing due to happen over the summer, the rumours are the only "action" the players are going to get, and by the time they re-open (assuming they do), they might have scared the players away.
