I was playing roulette on betvoyager last fortnight and I realised this error, which decreased my balance by one euro cent(0.01€), however I played on, after that I went to player's history and it stated my loss on that session was 15.91, however looking through, the total loss was 15.90, I noted customer support via their mail system(it did take unusually long though this time, about a week and a half), and I got that 0.01€ back.

Also to my surprise I was given a 50 euro bonus

Not long after that I won a bit and withdrew 100€ leaving the bonus in plus 50€ more that I won :)

Talk about good luck

At least they offered you a bonus as thanks for finding an error, most casinos wouldn't even say thanks or they would try to argue with you about the issue.

They are giving nice sign up bonus too
And rewarding players for finding errors - common practice at BetVoyager.

I don't get it.
They offer Zero percent house edge on all games as well as the same games with house edge.
Why would anyone play the games with house edge?
How does the Casino make its money?

Because House Edge valid only in a long run. It's just increased payout.
And it will not affect on your win or loss.

Sorry, I still don't get it.
I can play a 98% or 100% version of the same slot how does that not effect on my win/loss?
If I play 100% roulette should I not break even overall?

Whatever the house edge has over you, your method of play will would affect the outcome in the end, but generally if you are constantly betting 1 unit on black, no matter how many spins your expected bankroll after a period of time will be around about more or less the same, the same method on a game with a house edge, the expected bankroll after a period of time is virtually guaranteed to be less because of the zero(edge).

EDIT: Question, how do you "thank" people here? I think its the scales button but not so sure, another similar forum I frequent has a "Thanks" button near the "quote" button.

Click the thanks button.

I don't think people understand what I am asking.
I do.
I have seen this issue discussed at some length on another forum and I generally agree with this view:-
The casino has an 'infinite' bankroll, but the player has a finite bankroll (his deposit). Playing any game, regardless of house edge, will result in swings in fortune up & down. The casino can stand the player reaching any heights, but the player can only swing so low before he busts out.

The other thing I believe in is player greed; the player will not be happy to play indefinitely just to break even - he wants to win! Therefore he will take bigger risks to try to achieve this (e.g. martingaling on roulette) and is more likely to bust out than the casino software which doesn't even know of the existence of the word 'greed'

Just my 2c!
;)

Thanks KK that makes sense (sort of) but what I still do not get is why there are Two versions of each game available?
Why would anyone play the same slot at 97% when they can play at 100%, why is that option even there?

By the way One thing I do like about this Casino is that they give you the reel strips of each slot and so the symbols are never changed and you can calculate the returns yourself if you have the will or the time.

In most games (except slots and a few others) you would have to be playing perfect strategy to achieve the advertised payback. Most people don't.
And those who do will have to optimize their strategies to fit the "improved" games at BetVoyager.
Eg. if you always throw away a pair to go for the royal in VP, it really doesn't matter if the game pays back 100%; your bad play will make the casino money.

I seem to recall when they first launched poker it was rake free. It's not anymore (at least tourneys). Maybe they want to build up a large player base, then when we're all hooked they'll remove all the no HE games.

They will never do this. Just believe me.
They know, that even if they're offering 100% return in ANY game, players will never play perfectly and long enough.
If I place 100$ on Black in Roulette, I don't care about 97.3% or 100% return, because if Red will come - I will lose it all. It's simple.

Actually it is not so simple.
It still makes no sense to me that 2 Versions of the same game are offered, 1 with house edge 1 without.
Roulette and slots to name but 2 have no strategy so the 100% is maintained.
On roulette there is no Zero to make the 100% which means betting Red or Black is different as Zero can not half your stake.
It does not matter if I bet for 10 minutes or a thousand Years I should still have an equal chance of being ahead or behind.
They only argument that remotely makes sense is the limited bankroll argument but that assumes people will continue to play until they exhaust their bankroll and never cash out when infront.
You see you can reverse even that argument if everyone cashed out on an up the Casino could never win.

All that said, I love the way you can audit your account there and there is maximum information on all the games.

SlotMonster, you can lose, but casino will be around 0 regardless personal wins or losses at roulette. And Martingale doesn't change it too. So 0% roulette should be really zero for casino. While skilled-based games as VP or BJ can be profitable of course.

I don't know about betvoyager, but at Betfair zero roulette have low table limits (like $1-$10) so some agressive players would like to play at 1-100 or 5-500 with -2,7% already.

The limited bankroll argument is false. 100% return game is 100% return game independent of when the player stops. If player never cashes out then there is a chance for a single player to bankrupt the whole casino, which is of course a rare event but possible (the situation is different with positive house edge games).

It usually makes quite a difference whether there is house edge or not, because even a small house edge is cumulative in the long term making break-even harder and harder to reach the longer you play. If you play 1000 spins on Roulette there is only 20% probability that you haven't made a loss after those 1000 spins. In 0% house edge roulette the probability is of course 50%.

The two versions of the same game don't make a sense to me either. Perhaps there are players who want to have some challenge so that winning is not too easy and boring and so choose the house edge versions?

Was just given a 100 euros bonus for spotting 2 errors :D
Non-cashable, but winnings can be withdrawn at any moment! :notworthy

Quite, but I still have as much chance of being over 100% as under?

Last time;
Why do they offer Two versions of every game?

As SlotMonster says the games with equal odds have increased payouts.
They talk about it on your site
You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

When comparing the payouts in different versions of games( with equal odds and with house edge) for my favorite slot called Casino we get the following results: 3*Four-of-a-Kind symbols pays 42 against 40; 5*Blackjack symbols pays 900 against 800; 4*Blackjack symbols pays 90 against 80 and 3*Blackjack symbols pays 18 against 15.
So feel the difference can only get these combinations.

If you do not trust them, they offers Randomness control option to controle the game`s results.

There were two versions of games I think this is just an advertising campaign.

What were these errors Slotmonster? Were thay also in the casino's favour?

The first bug was minor, but annoying: after player started game with zero balance balance on site has become NaN (see attachment).

The second was little more serious: if user finished last spin on slots with any win - the become unable to create new sequence, because "New" button become inactive.
